Axl vs Axl Late 80's Early 90's vs Today

Axl Rose in the 80's, and Early 90's
The same person? I know I don't. the mofo's gone crazy, he couldnt stand watching GNR die the way it did.
Chinese Democracy was a fake, ultra-edited, foot-note in Rock N' Roll
AFD, GNR Lies, and UYI 1 and 2 changed music forever.
This is one of my huge points of argument of whether Axl's new Guns really is Guns N' Roses. There is no Steven, Izzy, Slash, or Duff, and in my opinion THERE IS NO TRUE AXL ROSE ANYMORE. This is not the Guns N' Roses we once knew. This is nothing.
"Funny how everything was roses when we held onto the GUNS"
Where the fuck did the Guns go?
Axl Rose is hanging onto the old Guns N' Roses songs and the name making shit with a band of hired hands.
Izzy is out making so-so solo albums
Stephen is touring with Adler's Appetite and getting clean, and playing on 3 tracks on Slash's new solo album
Duff is touring with Loaded, and working with Slash on Velvet Revolver
Slash is in the process of making his solo album, not to mention working in a band whose debut record went 2 TIMES PLATINUM. Nothing near the success of AFD but it sure kicked the shit out of Chinese Democracy (CD went 1x platinum)
FUCK YEAH, CHECK AND MATE, KISS MY ASS FUCK YOU

Sir, I beg to differ
GNR Lies- Patience is one of the most well known acoustic Rock N' Roll songs of all time.
Use Your Illusion I- November Rain is often quoted as having one of the best, most influencial guitar solos of all time. Also, Don't Cry still garners massive radio play to this day.
Use Your Illusion II- Civil War, and Knockin' On Heaven's Door are also very well known and also garner massive radio play to this day.
I believe I have made my point.

Civil War and a bad cover changed music forever? November Rain solo is one of the most influential guitar solos of all time? LOL.

I think most people would see Knockin on Heaven's Door as a great cover. I heard it blasting out a car radio the other day with the recognizable solo. Really was nice to hear.
thank you for seeing my point.

Civil War is a vastly popular song, as is Knockin' On Heaven's Door, and November Rain has one of the most well-known, popular, and influencial solos of all time. How can you disagree? I'm honestly confused.

Civil War is often referred to as one of the most pointless songs ever written. KOHD was an overdone cover. Yes, November Rain's solo was great, but I don't see how you can call it influential. Influential is stuff like Hotel California and the Beatles. If anything, the music video was influential on how to glorify a guitarist to the point of making me want to throw up. If anything, I think the reason Slash is so influential is because of his image. He's the epitome of "cool" in rock 'n' roll. All wannabe-rock star kids see themselves in the leather jacket, top hat, and sunglasses.
inb4 typical uoi post of "lets see you do better" etc.

We all miss the original band members and the magic they created together. The original line up is of the past. When hell freezes over and the devil wears ice skates, that's when the original 5 will get back together.
Personally, I'm glad the old members are doing well. I think Axl is doing well too.

I think the album version of KOHD sucks. The live versions from the 80's are so much more raw and oganic. I'd much rather listen to those early versions than the bloated "You can take your rank subjegation....." blah, blah, blah Tracy blah blah blah reggae that they turned that song into.

The only problem he had in 2006 is that he runs out of breath too often, often due to him running/dancing around stage. 80s/90s Axl's voice was too scratchy, and not in a good way.

No, you really haven't made your point. Just because they are good songs, great songs, does not mean that they changed music forever. That's complete bullshit and you fucking know it. The general public does not have GNR Lies up there with Sgt Pepper, Dark Side of the Moon, Thriller etc. Yes, I prefer Lies to all three of those albums, but it did not change music forever. Neither did UYI I or II.
