its hard to tell because speculation and lies cloud the truth. im not talking specifically about slash here but media, other musicians, lots of people talk shit but do they really know what they are talking about? when you hear comments from other people, ensp. from the CD era, moby, bucket, brain ect, they say axl is great. so whats real? so hard to tell.

i think 'popular belief' has a hint of truth but is just grossly exaggerated.

its actually undeniable, he has done that. he has told blatant lies to the media regarding guns, axl and the break up. this has helped solidify the popular belief that slash is all cool and laid back while axl is crazy and controlling. obviously axl isnt helping matters by biting security guards on the leg, some of the shit axl gets he brings on himself, but the whole 'slash good - axl bad' belief is more rooted in slashs comments about axl. without slashs comments i think axl would just be an eccentric badass rockstar, but with slashs comments he is some sort of super villain while slash is the golden boy even tho slash has done some crazy sketchy things in his past as well.

i think there is a hint of truth to the whole situation but slashs comments and lies have just exaggerated everything beyond recongizition or reconciliation. its distorted it to the point that we cant tell where bullshit ends and reality begins. is axl legitimately crazy? i change my mind every week. its hard to tell whats real and whats speculation.

The new band stuff can't all be Slash's fault

personally I think Axl/Slash need to at least make up and let go of the anger
I think it would be beneficial for both of them even if they never play together again.

First of all, they don't hate each other....they just don't like each other very much.

Second, I have belief that they will someday run into each other and at least talk to each other. I know that they miss each other, maybe not in the obvious sense but the feeling is there.

But who knows. For all we know they have already made up and are having a drink together right now.

I doubt they are ever in the same room again unless it is something like Izzy's funeral where they have to show up. They have no reason to get back together or make up. Axl clearly still hates Slash and Slash definitely doesnt like Axl. I dont know what a good reason for them to make up would be.

I think if he was people would know but I don't think there was much communication, so yeah he probably wouldn't know. just thought if he did know, he'd be like ok, like with Steven everyone knows he's a bit of a fuck up. But seems to have just gone with Axl's a prick angle, with no shadow of doubt.

The other side is when Slash offered a branch Axl did throw it back at him.

They don't seem any closer to working together and even with some perspective Slash still hasn't said he was f'd on drugs/Axl could have had his own problems. He's in the end taken the high road, which might not be the best route if you want a reunion?
