It doesn't make sense to me why people are so fixed on a reunion or the old line up to get back together for good. I love the old line up and the old music as much as the next person, but i also like the new music and new line up even though its ever changing.
At the end of the day the music still good IMO, and the music is still being made, so whats the difference apart from the changing faces?

Let's face it,outside of us nobody gives a flying fuck for Frank Ferrer,Ron etc. That isn't to say they aren't great players but they just don't have the "It Factor" that Slash,Duff,Izzy and Steven are all blessed with.

Axl brought in a bunch of talented musicians (with the exception of Robin) together but the guys just don't mesh as a band. And that is evident in Chinese D.

Never thought of it like that, and i can see what you mean. The new line up don't have that 'WOW' factor like the old line up did, expect the unexpected with those guys and the chemistry bubbled all over the place they just worked brilliantly, there personalities suited and complimented each other, they meshed together so well there talents together made magic. While the new line up is more you kinda know what your gonna get ( can't always say that for Axl though) and the chemistry is almost non exsistent, theres no spark and everything is all hush hush with the new guys and no one talks about anything really, While Slash Izzy etc, said what they thought, done whatever the hell they wanted, and fuck everyone else, like proper Rock n' Roll.

I don't know what this 'It' factor is that u all talk about. I don't think it was possible for me not to love them once I heard the music. Plus we don't see the new guys even one tenth as much as we did the old ones, so really, we've got little to work with. Even with the tours, when some of u got to see them, they had the brick wall of old guns to deal with. We're never gonna see them in a clear light.

I don't think anyone has anything against the new lineup. But most people agree that it's not GNR. It's pretty much widely known, outside of the fan forums, that this is an Axl Rose solo project. The general public have no idea who are even in the band. We don't even really know. Axl could show up with six different guys onstage that he's never played with before and he would still call it "Guns N' Roses."
In the end the only member of GNR as it stands that anyone really cares about is Axl.

I'm also not a fan of pro tools and over production. I like my rock n roll in it's rawest honest format.

Not really at playing GnR ( even though Robin is still controversial... ) but at being GnR : acting like GnR, speaking of GnR, promoting themselves as GnR, looking like GnR etc...
Probably also because the new band doesn't really have the AFD attitude apart from Richard Fortus. They look like a prog band : way too serious.
I love them anyway but I get why fans of the original lineup don't.
