I have pretty much finished the Slash book and now I am thinking about what it may take to get a reunion and make it last. Besides just getting all five of the original members in the same room together. This list is what needs to happen to create a lasting reunion.

• First and formost I think Axl would have to be willing to return the band back to the orignal guns. There needs to be a common sharing of the band name, royalties, earnings, etc.
  
• The band would need to return to a democracy versus a dictatorship. They would need to jam together at the studio to have the best chemistry. There would need to be a lot better communication in the band.
  
• They would all need to have a trust in one another again. They would need to surround their selfs with managment and people they can trust versus people that are just out to make money.
  
• Any new members or replacement members should be decided by the whole band versus by one individual. Axl needs to be more social with the band members versus isolated. This is in order for the band to find a common ground and to get a view of each others visions.
  
• Extravagant expenses that the band is paying for should be discusssed a head of time. I.E. renting yahts, private jets, etc.
  
• Axl should do rehearsals so that the band has reassurance that he will be at the show and his voice is ready. Axl needs to show up on stage on time and not leave during the set.
  
• The band players will need to keep their drug addictions in check to make sure that they don't hinder their preformances at shows.No firing members for drugs unless it hinders their playing and they are not able to clean their act up once notified that it is an issue.
  
• There should be no changing the final recordings of music behind members backs for instance adding keyboards music to songs. No changing or adding guitar solos with out asking Slash.Don't let Slash get smack... No heavy drinking or blow before the show. Keep Steven clean and out of temptation as much as possible.
  
• No traveling in seperate buses. All original members on same tour bus.

Secondly, personally the only chance I can see of a reunion is when one of the original 5 members die or brushes with death. Death (usually) brings people closest together, at least that happened with close-to-death Travis Barker plane crash with Blink 182.

-the fact that Axl thinks Slash's guitar playing hasn't evolved since he quit GnR...

Axl would have to stop fucking up shows for everyone else as he occasionally does by stopping songs in the middle to eject an obstructive fan. That's highly unprofessional and grossly inconsiderate towards the rest of the fans. Nobody pays to go to a show to hear songs split into parts. The obstructive fan ejecting should be done as discreetly and orderly as possible.

The only way a reunion could ever happen is if Slash went down on his knees before Axl sincerily apologizing for all the terrible evil things he has done over the years, and then accepting to rejoin Guns a a hired hand with no say in band-matters whatsoever. If that happens Axl might consider a reunion. The other original members would have to submit to the same terms of course.

Those who believe that Axl would soften up just because somebody dies or he himself has a child have not yet grasped the width of his rancor and donkey-like stubborness.

Slash would also have to learn Bucket's and Bumble's parts...
