There's a very easy and simple way to determine this. Is Velvet Revolver as good or better than GN'R? No. </thread>

Axl's trademark screechy voice was a huge part of their success through radio, and his snake-like moves and overall on stage demeanor and stage presence was a huge part of their sucess through visual performance, such as MTV or live shows. Not to mention his songwriting and other intangibles he brought to the fold
