Slash OD'd once in the UYI tour to the point where his heart topped beating, he practically died, axl's speech evidently didnt slow him down
Duff didnt quit until his pancreas exploded in 94, Axls speech did nothing to stop him until then
Izzy was the only one who actually wanted to quit, but i imagine he did it of his own accord, regardless of Axl's speech

Because anything else just doesn't make sense, yeah they were all strung out on drugs n shit but even though Axl kicked his habits he wasn't exactly a saint among sinners. He was power hungry, he isolated himself from the band, and pretty much only gave a shit about what he wanted and how he wanted things. Slash, Duff, and Izzy did drugs, Steven was a straight junkie, but would you say it really affected how the band functioned? Aside from Steven, the band took good enough care of themselves to write and record badass music. Come on now, this is Axl Rose we're talking about, we all love him but he isn't the most noble of characters... or are you one of those people who actually think he is? yeah... he's just a misunderstood genius right?
Everyone in the band had their faults, but if anybody stood out and kept things cool it was modest ole Izzy Stradlin. Definitely NOT Axl or Slash, its pretty safe to say the friction between these two ego's is what killed Guns N' Roses

things are what they are. they should all be grateful for the fame and lives they've been lucky enough to have. including Axl.

Axl should be grateful to the Appetite lineup. At the time, they were the only 5 guys that could make up Guns N' Roses (in my opinion they still are but that's a different thread lol). They're all lucky to have made it anyway.
