And when they came around in 2006 with the new band I was hugely skeptical especially after 02' VMAS ,but I have to say Greensboro 2006 was one of the best shows of my life, period. It was 2.5 hrs of pure magic- AXL sounded unbelievable & the band was on fire. It made me fall in love with GNR all over again! (and yes, my girfriend loved them too)

It sure would be for someone like yourself who wasn't lucky enough to see the band when Slash was in it. I am a fan of Bucket but I'd say that maybe 1% of the millions who have seen GnR would take a Bucket solo over Slash.
The only thing magical about Finck would be if he played Slash's songs properly.
As far as this "new" GNR goes,IMO the 2002 Brain/Bucket lineup blows the 06 Frank/Foot lineup away.

True- seeing Slash perform the "Godfather Theme" back in the day is something that could never be matched. I'm just glad I got to witness it.

The 2002 was by far more talented.

Thank you, oh great fucking authority on all matters GNR.
In 2006 they were far more of a band, they gelled properly onstage there WAS a real sense of chemistry between them all regardless of whether the 88-93 crowd wants to accept it or not. In 2002 it really did feel like a cobbled together set of musicians at times.
I've seen a lot of bands, the 2006 line up of Guns N Roses is still the best I've seen therefore, frankly i could not give a shit for anyone who would try and tell me they weren't anything other than superb.
