There was a post at another forum that said GNR's management was considering setting up an interview with Axl that would be posted on the GNR forums.

So, I called Sanctuary today to verify it, and here's what I was told.

They said Merck (Axl's manager) is "aware" of the GNR forums and their wish to see Axl do an interview. However, his assistant told me that if he agrees to do it, they'd likely do it "internally" rather than have someone do a Q&A (question and answer) in person or by phone. (I had been hoping that he'd agree to do a live interview since I live in NYC and he's here frequently and I promised to post it at all of the major GNR forums).

I guess they're cautious and want to screen the questions that are asked so that the interview doesn't backfire, which is understandable. So, if he agrees, it will likely be fixed questions and fixed answers arranged by people at Sanctuary.

The good news is -- at least they're considering it, which means we could get a statement from Axl in the next few weeks.

Well, perhaps if people listed questions they'd like him to answer in this thread, he'll address some of them. But -- serious questions only guys.

That'd be really interesting. Sounds like it'd essentially be a press release in interview form, but still, all sounds good to me.

God knows what i'd ask Axl in that situation, but i can't blame them for wanting to keep it internal. Anyone else would just go on excessivly about the time CD has taken and he wouldn't get a chance to speak about what he wanted to. Asking about CD is fine, but going on about that is only gonna piss him off.

Although having said that an updated version of 'Get in the Ring' could be entertaining.

Cheers Madison.

THANK YOU to give some credits to me Madison, I really apreciated that.

I came up with the idea, MYSTERON that have contact to Axl´s manager talked to him and he agreed AT LEAST to take a look and send it to Axl.

there´s a thread in the htgth message board about it, and when I came up with this, I didn´t espect to create a "FANS AROUND THE WORLD OF ALL THE MESSAGE BOARDS, AXL WILL ANSWER YOU!", we elaborate 10 questions that will "not" be like "when you gona release it?" or "do you like VR?" ... if you guys wanted to know more, just read the thread there...

thanks again

But is this the same "thing" they did on the HTGTH forum? Because a person over there have allready sent a bunch of question to the GN'R people.

Interesting Madison, but also very dissapointing. Axl is a flake. If the guy was on the level he'd have nothig to hide and would want to do a REAL interview. The whole secrecy thing and the internal option makes me laugh. Axl needs to grow up and give us fans somthing. It's time he stepped up and became a man. Let the fans in. At least a little bit. Enough of this bullshit. That's my opinion.

thats great fucking news. In my opinion, i feel as though something like this will be a starting point for publicity and the new record. with his latest press release, and now this, it seems as if there is something brewing in the gnr camp.

rock on
Why would they tell me to please those that laugh in my face

That's cool that you were the one who thought up the idea RnT. I wasn't aware.

Someone posted in the Ain't It Fun section yesterday that another forum was reporting that Sanctuary was considering the idea of Axl doing an interview. I simply followed it up to see if it was true and to see if I could do the interview if he agreed. That's it. And this was the update I gave.

If he winds up doing the interview or even issuing a statement, then kudos to you RnT. Just shows it never hurts to ask. :)
