1. Rare songs that were released:

It's Allright
Shadow Of Your Love
Whole Lotta Rosie

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: It's Allright (live)
Written by: Black Sabbath

Released on:
Guns n' Roses - Live Era

Performed live:
It's Allright was often played as an intro to November Rain in 1992. In most cases, they did the whole song.

Lyrics:
Told you once about your friends and neighbours,
They were always seeking but they'll never find.
It's alright, it's alright.

Where to go, where to see,
It's always been that way and it can never be.
It's alright, it's alright,
Give it all and ask for no return,
And very soon you'll see and you'll begin to learn,
It's alright, it's alright.
Don't you know that it's so good for you,
You can be making love and see it all go through.
It's alright, it's alright.

Told you once about your friends and neighbours,
They were always seeking but they'll never find.
It's alright, it's alright.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Shadow Of Your Love
Written by: Axl, Izzy, Chris Weber & Paul Tobias. Axl wrote the music, while Izzy and Chris wrote the music

Released on:
Guns n' Roses - Live From The Jungle
Guns n' Roses - It's So Easy (single)
Guns n' Roses - Live And Let Die (single)
Hollywood Rose - The Roots Of Guns n' Roses

Performed live:
This song was played live as a regular in the mid and late 80's

Additional information:
This was written in 1981 and is one of the oldest Guns n' Roses songs. The band wasn't even called Guns n' Roses back then.
There are at least three recorded versions of this song. A demo from the early 80's by Hollywood Rose (what would later become Guns n' Roses), a good recording from the Appetite For Destruction sessions, and a re-recording from the Use Your Illusion sessions.

Lyrics:
Took my chances carelessly
choked on my own cigarette
You can hand me another bottle of whiskey baby
but you ain’t seen the worst yet

Now I'm reckless, gonna have some fun
and the woman who is dead
who was out all night, no I'm not the only one

And I ain't standing, never standing
in the shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love

Wrote my changes helplessly
yeah but I got no regrets
Money it was on the table
so I booked with all the bets

Living like a lemon ain’t so hot
and you ain’t my idea
of one high-rollin' shot

No I ain't standing, never standing
in the shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love

Big dark clouds hanging over your head
hope you've heard, baby all I've said
You've been told, what I've said
No use crying, you're as good as dead

Now I'm reckless, gonna have some fun
and the woman who is dead, who is out alright
now I'm not the only one

And I ain't standing, never standing
in the shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love
shadow of your love

Title: Whole Lotta Rosie (live)
Written by: AC/DC

Released on:
Guns n' Roses - Live From The Jungle
Guns n' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle (single)
Guns n' Roses - Paradise City (single)

Performed live:
This song was played live as a regular in the mid and late 80's

Lyrics:
Wanna tell you a story
'Bout a woman I know
When it comes to lovin'
Oh she steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
Ain't exactly small
Forty-two, thirty-nine, fifty-six
You could say she's got it all
Never had a woman
Never had a woman like you
Doing all the things
Doing all the things you do
Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin and bone
But you give it all you got
Weighing in at nineteen stone

You're a whole lotta woman
A whole lotta woman
Whole lotta Rosie
And you're a whole lotta woman

Oh honey you can do it
Do it to me all night long
Only one to turn
Only one to turn me on
All through the night time
And right around the clock
To my surprise
Rosie never stops

Lyrics:
Since my baby left me I've found a new place to dwell
Down at the end of Lonely Street at Heartbreak Hotel
I'm so lonely, I'm so lonely
I'm so fuckin' lonely I could die
And though it's always crowded, you still can find some room
Where broken hearted lovers do cry away their gloom
And be so lonely, oh so lonely
Oh so lonely they could die

Well the bell hop's tears keep flowing, the desk clerk's dressed in black
They been so long on Lonely Street they're never ever comin' back
And you know that they're so lonely, oh they're so lonely
They're so fuckin' lonely they wanna die

So if your baby leaves, you've got a tale to tell
Just take a walk down Lonely Street to the Heartbreak Hotel
Where you'll be lonely and I'll be lonely
You'll be so lonely that you wanna die (one more time)
Don't let me cry
Don't let me cry
You can do whatever you want tonight, but don't say goodbye
Don't let me cry
Don't say goodbye
Don't let me cry
Don't let me cry

Aw Yeah!

This song was played live very often in 1986.

lyrics:
I was born in a cross-fire hurricane,
And I howled at my ma in the driving rain.
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas!
But it's all right now, I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash.
It's a gas! gas! gas!

I was raised by a toothless, bearded hag,
I was schooled with a strap right across my back.
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas!
But it's etc...

I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead,
I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled.
I frowned at the crumbs of a crust of bread,
I was crowned with a spike right through my head.
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas!
But it's etc...
Jumpin' Jack Flash, it's a gas.

Axl's improvisation of the last verse:

Slash was drowned, he was washed up left for dead,
Steven scowled as the sight of the crust of bread.
Duff looked around, there was no sign of our friend,
Oh, Izzy was crowned, with a spike right through his face.
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas!
But it's etc...
Jumpin' Jack Flash, it's a gas.

It was written in or before 1985

lyrics:
[1, 2, 1, 2, 3]

I'll be laughin' when you're cryin',
Push me and you lose
I'll be dancin' when you're dyin',
pay up and choose

You got me out of indecision
You can slash me out of fear
Good intentions get me nowhere
As long as nothings on you hair?
Tell me about your overview,
And I'll try to show you how it looks from here.

I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more
No, no, no
No.

I can see your true colors,
Plush the red
When you had all of your lovers,
under the bed

Instigate a simple life,
And who's to say what's black or white?
Just because you're curious, I've earned another brought me near
Took all the dreams that I could use,
Now I know there's nothing I could do, for you!

I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
No, no, no.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more
No, no, no

That'll change, don't worry about it

I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down,
No, no, no

I think you should be your ?? now she got:

I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.
I ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down, ain't goin' down no more.

1, 2, 73
She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

Jimmy and John
Got it going on bigger
But I heard her ask
"Don't make me go there!"
Wendy said
"I might get a fucking draft"
Instead of a wang
All I had was a shaft
If you don't believe me
That big are worse
You're a fucking bitch
I've seen more worse

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker

Well I'll get in trouble
??? so fine
I had to do a round
A second time
When his daughter screamed
Her daddy got white
Her daddy put a bullet
Right between my fuckin eyes

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass
A cornshucker

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her
She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker

Cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

Crash diet of reds n' ludes
A shot of vitamin C and a bottle of booze
Too stupid to live with nothin' to lose
In your one track mind now
Where's that leave you?

Drink n' drive white lightning faster baby
Takin' your last ride
Better be so careful or you'll be dead before you time
Sorry you took mother's car now

Tears in my eyes, baby please don't go
Had one too many, now one for the road
Fresh from detox, fresh from jail
Your rehabilitation has drove me to hell

Drink n' drive white lightning faster
Takin' your last ride
Better be so careful or you'll be dead before your time
Sorry you took mother's car now

Too soon, oh god you didn't need it
Too late for the pressure and the pain
Too bad for those who don't believe it
Ruby street still calls your name

Itchy trigger finger and the race to be alive
Smokin' a cig while you drink n' drive
With no control in your life ahead
You're never gonna see it if you wind up dead

Drink n' drive white lightning faster
Takin' your last ride
Better be so careful or you'll be dead before your time
Drink n' drive white lightning baby
It's always on your mind
Push or pull your limits baby, do it one more time
Break it down
Break it down
Somethin's changin', somethin's breakin'
You gotta be a brother, for your family
Drink n' drive will make it a
Sweet mystery, Ooohhhh
If you don't care about yourself
Would you please leave me alive
Oooohhhh...
You gonna
You gonna drink n' drive
Oooohhhhh, Yeeaaah!

Title: Bring It Back Home

Rhythm Guitar: Izzy
Bass: Duff
Drums: Drum Machine

Additional information:
Bring It Back Home was probably written and recorded in 1990. It was originally for Use Your Illusion.

lyrics:
Sweet little lady,
don't you get crazy,
bring it back home to me
Woman little standing,
dreaming to forget him,
bring it back home to me
When? Why wonder?
Brown-eyed stunner,
come on bring it home to me
Kiss a little dozen, fishing for your lover,
won't you bring it down home to me

She's a thrill on fire,
she's a dog in heat
She licks her lips with a passion,
in the third degree
See a dirty old lady,
with a school girl's scream
Break a back for the daddy oh,
when she does her thing

She looks like heroin,
she kills the pain
Call it what you want to call it,
call it danger honey, you said, "gimme that nicotine"
Never wanna hold you,
never wanna scold you,
I bet she's taking away from me
Never will commend you or ever reprimand you,
when you bring it back home to me

Can't take candy from a baby,
when your baby gives it up for free
She just puts around being lazy,
but still she brings her lovin' to me
Don't need nothing to save me,
save for a piece of your luxury
Lock the door, but you'll never cage me,
I'll tell you just how it's gonna be

I call your lover in the morning,
when you have your cup of tea
You never give me your warning,
so you better get ready for me
Guess who's coming over,
oh you think that's such a surprise
If you're saying you've never known her, honey,
you better open your eyes
Look out

She's a thrill on fire,
she's a dog in heat
She licks her lips with a passion,
in the third degree
See a dirty old lady,
with a school girl's scream
Break a back for the daddy oh,
when she does her thing

Can't take candy from a baby,
when your baby gives it up for free
She just gets around, being lazy,
until she brings her lovin' to me
I don't need nothing to save me,
say for a piece of your luxury
Lock the door,
but you'll never cage me,
I tell you just how it's gonna be

I call your lover in the morning,
when you have your cup of tea
You never give me a warning,
so get yourself ready for me
Ohhhh, where you going,
tell me who did you see?
I've been sleeping on your doorstep, baby, won't you bring it back home to me

Get me something for my jealous mind, you don't get something for free
What's it gonna, gonna come to,
you just bring it down home to me
Ha-ha-ha

Title: Too Much, Too Soon
Written by: Guns N' Roses. It's said to be a rewritten version of the Johnny Thunders song with the same name.

Vocals: Axl
Lead Guitar: Slash
Rhythm Guitar: Izzy
Bass: Duff
Drums: Drum Machine

Additional information:
Bring It Back Home was probably written and recorded in 1991.
It was never played live

lyrics:
"Hey this bottle's empty, you got 2 bucks?
C'mon, we'll buy a bottle
Alright, I'm headin' to the store and I'm gonna buy smokes
Hot damn"

Every night, I go out and get in my car, oh yeah
I push on the pedal but you know I go too far
There's parties everywhere that I can see
Usin' myself will be the death of me

It seems every night I get a call on the telephone
My sweet little baby beggin' me just to come home
But I know that everyday I gotta have me some fun
With Suzy to the left and Sally to my right
I know that I need just more than one

Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, get outta my room
Let's go

When the night goes on and I seem to see some friends
Not a buck for the cop or for gas for the van
With friends like that tell me who's gonna last
Well the city's hot but tonight I'm not
I want everything that everybody's got
Not a badge in the pan or a legend hand
Just give me one more one night stand

Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Let's go

Take the car, take the keys
Said my money don't grow on trees
Make me stumble and fall then I'm bloody at my knees
I climbed back up and found all my money gone
Too much too soon for now so I'll say so long

You can drive me to the edge but I really don't mind
Ya see when I'm in my car I leave you behind
There's another girl that's waitin' down the road
When I'm out the door you know that's just where I'll go

Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room

Too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care so I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much too soon
I don't care, so get outta my room
Said it's too much too fast
I don't care if I won't last
Said it's too much

"Whew, if I'd spilt that bottle I'd really be upset"

Lead Guitar: Slash
Rhythm Guitar: Izzy
Bass: Duff
Drums: Drum Machine

Additional information:
Sentimental Movie was probably written and recorded in 1990. It was originally for Use Your Illusion.

lyrics:
You better change your attitude
'Cuz you know you want it to
You bring me all your food
But I know your only tune

I can feel your blonde hair, yeah
If you feel my head as well
And I won't give you empty promises, yeah
When the quarter's in the wishing well

But this ain't no sentimental movie
Where dreams collect like dust
You talk to me with innocence in your eyes
So now, who can you trust?

You think you look so cool
Yes you do
You take me for your fool, yeah
Itchin' for your ah, long hug
Baby I won't say stop
But don't you be cruel

I can see through your dress, oh, yeah
You put my head between your legs
You take my heart to the gutter, yeah
You pull me around
And take me for another ride

But this ain't no sentimental movie
Where dreams collect like dust
You talk to me with innocence in your eyes
So now, who can you trust?
Trust
Trust

Put a path up to your veins
And I'm peekin' on for some pain
The tears you cried
All the tears you cried tonight
Yeah
You put it down
But you can't get iit out of sight

And this ain't no sentimental movie
You push it on
You grab it on
But it don't seem to suit it
This ain't no sentimental movie
Yeah, see the screen
You're startin' to scream
Abusin' confusin'
Your cover's over
This ain't no sentimental movie
Yeah, you look so cool
Don't take me for another one of your scenes?
This ain't no sentimental movie
This ain't no sentimental movie
The tears you cried
All the tears you cried tonight
Yeah
This ain't no sentimental movie
This ain't no sentimental movie
This ain't no sentimental movie
Yeah

Additional information:

I know you've been dreaming 'bout the times in our lives
But I've been screaming in my bed late at night
A trace little needle in your stack of hay
Makes it critical to me child that you'll stay

You've been in my life so long, cannot get through to you
I touch your eyes and it shades my life blue
There's something I need to say before it's to late
But I won't hold you back, while I'm begging you to stay

Just another Sunday
Just another Sunday
Oh yaaa, just another Sunday
Just another Sunday, oh yaaa

There's too many games in a day for a simple man to play
That desperate moment in your life where you can't be afraid
Don't think your second chance will break around the bend
'Cuz hearts don't always share love for the person on the other end

You've been in my life so long, cannot get through to you
I touch your eyes and it shades my life blue
There's something I need to say before it's to late
But I won't hold you back, while I'm begging you to stay

Just another Sunday yaa
Just another Sunday oh baby
It's only one more Sunday
Just another Sunday, oh yaaa

Those are the tickets for the same plane, bring it back to me
'Cuz feeling that same old same pain makes life a luxury
Take a walk away won't end the carousel
But if walking away can bring you back, then I wish you well

You've been in my life so long, cannot get through to you
I touch your eyes and it shades my life blue
There's something I need to say before it's to late
But I won't hold you back, while I'm begging you to stay

Just another Sunday yaa
Just another Sunday oh baby
It's only one more Sunday
Just another Sunday
It's just another Sunday
It's just another
Just another Sunday
Just another oh yaa
Just another Sunday

3. Demo versions of released songs:

This is kind of a tricky one. Many of the GnR songs that were released have a few demo versions of them. So what we'll do here is go over a few of the special ones. Remember there are much more then are listed here. But there is no point in listing demo versions of songs that are essentially the same.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: November Rain

There are two famous (and very common) demo versions of this song. The first one is the acoustic guitar version, and the second one is the piano version. These are both worth getting! It is uncertain when and where they were recorded. Sadly, we don't have the lyrics.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Anything Goes

This is a bit of a strange one. At least three versions of Anything Goes differ from the version on Appetite For Destruction. Since this is one of the oldest Guns n' Roses songs, they have made many changes to the lyrics. That's why there are so many alternative versions of it. Sadly, we don't have the different lyrics of all these.

lyrics:
My mama said
That your life is a gift
And my mama said
There's much weight you will lift
And my mama said
Leave those bad boys alone
And my mama said
Be home before the dawn
And my mama said
You can be rich or poor
But my mama said
You can be big or small

But I'm always on the run

My mama said
That it's good to be truthful
But my mama said
Don't take more than a mouthful
And my mama said
That it's good to be natural
And my mama said
That it's good to be factual

But I'm always on the run

My mama said
Baby don't ride that crazy horse
And my mama said
You must push with much force
And my mama said
Go get all that your after
And my mama said
That love's all that matters

But I'm always on the run

Lead, Rhythm & Acoustic Guitars: West Arkeen
Lead Guitars: Slash

It was never played live with GnR members.

lyrics:
Lean my head outside my bedroom window
In solitude the dark recedes
I hear a scream outside my neighbourhood
Could be mistaken for a dream
Tree's cover shadowed darkened ground
That cast a cover for these broken crowds
Its only Friday in my neighbourhood
That gets you ready for the bitter truth

I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets
I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets

I became numb when I fractured my pride
Sweet Sally she became my one place to hide
Sedated party on my carousel
That gets you ready for your own private hell

I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets
I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets

I used to think I believed in myself
Everything fit into place
But the fortunes of your life rests on your mental health
And not the money - no, it's not the money
Not the money - no it's not the money

People package all kinds of love
It's a joke that ain't so funny
I made my hell with no help from above

And lots of money
Ya, just lots of money
Lots of money
Ya, just lots of money (alright)

It's hard to trust life when its packed full of lies
And everyone is a brand new surprise
They take, and take, and take, and take
And never give it back
Always keep me looking behind my back

I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets
I cop a plea like an anxious disease
I'm not at home I'm at war on these streets

Anxious disease - war on these streets
Anxious disease - war on these streets

I don't mind the things that you say
I don't even mind going out of my way
I try and do these things for you
Why should I do it I'm always untrue

Well, I did you no wrong
I did you no wrong
Going out of my head

I ain't seen you off the screen
But those films are my dreams
And I can't take much more of you
'Cause the bog is no place to see your face

Oh can't you see I'm out of my head Oh can't you see I'm a little insane Oh can't you see going out of my head
Oh can't you see I'm really dead

Going down, down, out of my head
I did you no wrong
I did you no wrong
I did you no wrong

I did you no wrong
I did you no wrong
Going out of my head

I ain't seen you off the screen
But those films are my dreams
And I can't take much more of you 'Cause the bog is no place to see your face

Oh can't you see I'm out of my head
Oh can't you see I'm a little insane
Oh can't you see I'm out of my head
Oh can't you see I'm really dead

I did you no wrong
I did you no wrong!
HA HA HA!

Going out of my head...

Additional information:
I Will Not Go Quietly" was written in or before 1989. It was never played live

lyrics:
Woke up with a heavy head
And I thought about leavin' town
I could have died if I wanted to--
Slipped over the edge and drowned
But, oh no baby, I won't give up so easy

Too many tire tracks in the sands of time
Too many love affairs that stop on a dime
I think it's time to make some changes 'round here

Yeah, I'm gonna tear it up
gonna trash it up
I'm gonna round it up
gonna shake it up
Oh no baby, I will not lie down

I'm brave enough to be crazy
I'm strong enough to be weak
I see all these heroes with feet of clay
Whose mighty ships have sprung a leak
And I want you to tell me darlin'
Just what do you believe in now?

Well, c'mon over here baby
You 'bout to gimme a heart attack
I wanna wrap my lovin' arms
Around the small of your back
Yeah, and I'm gonna pull you, pull you, pull you
Pull you right up close to me

Yeah, we're gonna tear it up
we gonna trash it up
gonna round it up
gonna shake it up
Oh, no no no, I will not lie down

Turn this thing around
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not lie down

Well, don't you ever get lonely?
Don't you ever get down?
Don't you ever get tired
Of all the wicked tongues in this town?
Oh baby, I just wanna take you away from here

I ain't no tiger
I ain't no little lamb
Suppose you tell me mama
Who do you think I think I am?
And oooh baby, don't you give a damn?

Yeah I'm gonna tear it up
gonna trash it up
gonna round it up
gonna shake it up
Oh baby I will not lie down
Turn this thing around
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not go quietly
I will not lie down
I will not lie down

I'm driving right up to you babe
I guess you couldn't see yeah yeah
I got you under my wheels honey
Why can't you let me be

The telephone is ringing
You got me on the run
I'm driving in my car now
Anticipating fun

I'm driving right up to you babe
I guess you couldn't see yeah yeah
I got you under my wheels honey
I got you under my wheels
I got you under my wheels
I got you under my wheels
I got you under my wheels

I got you under my wheels
I got you under my wheels
I got you under my wheels

Title: Bohemian Rhapsody
Written by: Freddy Mercury & Brian May

Vocals: Axl, Elton John
Guitars: Brian May
Bass: John Deacon
Drums: Roger Taylor
Piano: Elton John

Performed live:
Bohemian Rhapsody was performed live on the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert, April 20, 1992.

Lyrics:
Is this the real life,
Is this just fantasy.
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see.
I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,
Because I’m easy come, easy go.
A little high, little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesn’t really matter to me
To me.

Mama just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head.
Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead,
Mama, life had just begun.
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away,
Mama ooo.
Didn’t mean to make you cry.
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow.
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters.

Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine.
Body’s aching all the time,
Goodbye everybody, I’ve got to go.
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth,
Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows).
I don’t want to die,
I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all.

I see a little silhouette of a man,
Scaramouch, Scaramouch will you do the Fandango.
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me,
Galileo Galileo.
Galileo Galileo,
Galileo figaro-Magnifico.
But I’m just a poor boy and nobody loves me,
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family.
Spare him his life from this monstrosity,
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go.
Bismillah! No-,we will not let you go-let him go,
Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go.
Bismillah! We will not let you go-let me go,
Will not let you go-let me go.
Will not let you go let me go,
No,no,no,no,no,no,no.
Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go,
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me.

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye,
So you think you can love me and leave me to die.
Oh baby-Can’t do this to me baby,
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here.

Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see.
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me,
Any way the wind blows...

Lyrics:
Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
And whatever comes our way

Ya darling you could make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns and once in
Explode into space

I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racing with the wind
And the feeling that I'm under

Ya darling you could make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns and once in
Explode into space

Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never want to die

Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
And whatever comes our way

Ya darling you could make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns and once in
Explode into space

Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never want to die

Born to be wild
Born to be wild

One thing I can tell you is you got to be free.
Come together right now over me.

He bag production, he got walrus gumboot,
He got one sideboard, he one spinal cracker.
He got feet down below his knee,
Hold you in his armchair, you can feel his disease.
Come together right now over me.

He roller coaster, he got early warning,
He got muddy water, he one mojo filter.
He say one and one and one is three,
Got to be good lookin’, ‘cause he’s so hard to see.

Come together
Come together

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker

After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

Jimmy and John
Got it going on bigger
But I heard her ask
"Don't make me go there!"
Wendy said
"I might get a fucking draft"
Instead of a wang
All I had was a shaft
If you don't believe me
That big are worse
You're a fucking bitch
I've seen more worse

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker

Well I'll get in trouble
??? so fine
I had to do a round
A second time
When his daughter screamed
Her daddy got white
Her daddy put a bullet
Right between my fuckin eyes

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real buttfucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass
A cornshucker

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gonna stick my dick
Right up her ass

She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her
She's a cornshucker
A real fine fucker

Cornshucker
A real fine fucker
Gotta wash my dick
After she makes me buttfuck her

Well, when you're sitting there
In your silk upholstered chair
Talking to some rich folks that you know
Well I hope you won't see me
In my ragged company
You know I could never be alone

Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flower by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I won't forget to put roses on your grave

Well, you're sitting back
In your pink Cadillac
Making bets on Kentucky Derby Day
I'll be in my basement room
With a needle and a spoon
And another whore can take my pain away

Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flower by the mail
Send me dead flowers to my wedding
And I won't forget to put roses on your grave

Take me down little Susie, take me down
I know you think you're the queen of the underground
And you can send me dead flowers every morning
Send me dead flower by the US mail
Say it with dead flowers at my wedding
And I won't forget to put roses on your grave
No I won't forget to put roses on your grave

Guitars: Slash
Bass: Unknown
Drums: Unknown

Performed live:
Dead, Jail or Rock 'n' Roll' was performed live by Michael Monroe, Axl and Slash at the Whisky a Go-Go on December 12, 1989.

Lyrics:
When I was a kid all I wanted to be,
Was the meanest dude on the meanest machine.
Now I'm going the wrong way on a one-way street,
I never fit this society.

I don't really mind,
Doing my own time,
The three choices I ever came to find,
Were:

Dead, Jail or Rock N’ Roll

I ain’t looking for trouble but it’s looking for me,
The law of the jungle is protecting me.
Lose sleep man stay out of your bed,
You might wind up in jail if you lose your head.

In death I might find,
True piece of mind.
But while I’m alive,
Free choice is mine.
It’s either:

Dead, Jail or Rock N’ Roll

I don’t really mind,
Doing my own time,
The three choices I ever came to find,
Were always:

Dead, Jail or Rock N’ Roll

Title: Dust In The Wind

Performed live:

Lyrics:
Tell everybody that I am sorry, truly sorry
For all the wrongs I done
I never meant to hurt nobody
Lord I never want to do no wrong

I have lied, I have begged and I have cheated
And I know my ship won't be coming in
As I lay me down to take my rest
I see that it's just dust in the wind

Take hold my hand, hold it tighter, ever tighter
You must believe that I love you still
But my strength, it grows weaker, ever weaker
And my body has lost its will

Oh my Lord, I have lost once again
And I got no one to help me find my way
But I never wanted to hurt nobody
And I never wanted to do no wrong

Loves horses and her boyfriend too

It’s a long day livin’ in Reseda
There’s a free-way runnin’ through the yard
And I’m a bad boy, cause I don’t even miss her
I’m a bad boy for breakin’ her heart

And I’m free, I’m free fallin’

All the vampires walking through the valley
Move west down Ventura Boulevard
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
All the good girls are home with broken hearts

And I’m free, I’m free fallin’
I wanna glide down over Mulholland
I wanna write her name in the sky
I wanna free fall out into nothin’
Gonna leave this world for awhile

And I’m free, I’m free fallin’

Lyrics:
I met a gin-soaked, bar-room queen in Memphis
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride
She had to heave me right across shoulder
'Cause I just can't seem to drink you off my mind

It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues

I laid a divorcée in New York City
I had to put up some kind of a fight
The lady then she covered me with roses
She blew my nose and then she blew my mind

It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme...
Alright!

It's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk blues
Yeah, it's the honky tonk women
Gimme, gimme...

Title: It Tastes Good, Don't It?

Written by:
It is not sure who wrote It Tastes Good, Don't It. Where some claim it's a cover of an old rap song, others claim it is a Guns n' Roses original.

Performed live:
It Tastes Good, Don't It? was performed a few times completely in 1987. A short version of it was performed in the middle of "Rocket Queen" in 1992.

Additional information:
This might have been recorded in the early club years, but a studio recording of this song hasn't surfaced as of yet.

Lyrics:
I'm like a little bitty kid with a real big mouth
And you're gonna have to catch me if you wanna wash it out
'Cuz I'll be standin' on the corner, callin' you names
With my juvenile skills and delinquent games

'Cuz I'm a fast motherfucker
Let me tell you 'bout it sucker
If you fuck with me, I'll fuck your mother
Your sister too, and your best girlfriend
I'll line 'em up, and put 'em end to end
And then I'll put out, stick it in, I'll pull it out
I'll grab your face and cum in your mouth

It tastes good, don't it?
It tastes good, and you know it
It tastes good, don't it?
It tastes good, and you know it

If you're looking for trouble, I'm the one
If you're looking for a fight go have some fun
Ya like to dance, ya like to sing
I'm the one and we'll get it on
Ya wanna dance?

Title: Marseilles
Written by: Doc Neeson, John Brewster and Rick Brewster (for Angel City)

Performed live:
Marseilles was performed in Irvine, CA on June 8, 1988

Lyrics:
Bought me a box of French cigars, bought me a black beret
Get my French from a girl next door, teaching me night & day
Got me thinking `bout the south of France, vis-a-vis vous
Pack my suitcase, take a chance -- got nothing to lose

Gimme the sound of the rolling dice
Gimme a whiskey, don't think twice
Deal me the card that takes my blues away
Take me away to Marseilles

Fast train, jet plane, money to burn, don't ask the reason why
Drinkin' champagne, playin' cool, don't even have to try

Gimme the sound of the rolling dice
Gimme a whiskey, don't think twice
Deal me the card that takes my blues away
Take me away to Marseilles

Button your lip baby
Button your coat
Let's go out dancing
Go for the throat
Let's bury the hatchet
Wipe out the past
Mae love together
Stay on the path

You're not the only one
With mixed emotions
You're not the only ship
Adrift on this ocean

This coming and going
Is driving me nuts
This to-ing and fro-ing
Is hurting my guts
So get off the fence
It's creasing your butt
Life is a party
Let's get out and strut

You're not the only one
That's feeling lonesome
You're not the only one
With mixed emotions

You're not the only one
You're not the only one
You're not the only one
You're not the only one

Let's grab the world
By the scruff of the neck
And drink it down deeply
Let's love it to death
So button your lip
And button your coat
Let's go out dancing
Let's rock 'n' roll

You're not the only one
With mixed emotions
You're not the only ship
Adrift on this ocean

Lyrics:
Sleazin' in the city
Lookin' for a fight
Got my heels and lookin' pretty
On a Saturday night, night, night

Good God, bless my soul
I need a fix of rock 'n roll
Come on baby you gotta wait and see
You better hurry
To get a piece of me

Caught a lonely lady
Crying on a cigarette
I got nasty, nasty habits
And that's all she's gonna get

One for the money, two for the show
So 'round and 'round and 'round we go
Take a look at what-a you might need
You better hurry
To get a piece of me

I don't have looks, I don't have money
But I know one thing's for sure
One night ain't enough of my love
She wanted more, more, more

Sleazin' in the city
Lookin' for a fight
Got my heels and lookin' pretty
On a Saturday night, night, night

One for the money, two for the show
So 'round and 'round and 'round we go
Take a look at what-a you might need
You better hurry
To get a piece of me
To get a piece of me
To get a piece of me

It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time
Yes it has

It's been a long time since the book of love
I can't count the tears of a life with no love
Carry me back, carry me back
Carry me back, baby, where I come from
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time

Seems so long since we walked in the moonlight
Making vows that just can't work right
Open your arms, opens your arms
Open your arms, baby, let my love come running in
It's been a long time, been a long time
Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time

Title: Salt Of The Earth
Written by: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (for Rolling Stones)

Vocals: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Axl
Lead & Rhythm Guitars: Keith Richards, Ron Woods
Additional Guitar: Izzy Stradlin
Bass: Bill Wyman
Drums: Charlie Watts

Performed live:
Salt of the Earth" was performed live by The Rolling Stones together with Axl and Izzy December 17, 19 and 20, 1989.

Lyrics:
Lets drink to the hard working people,
Lets drink to the lowly of birth.
Raise your glass to the good and the evil,
Lets drink to the salt of the earth.

Say a prayer for the common foot soldier,
Spare a thought for his back breaking work.
Say a prayer for his wife and his children,
Who burn the fires and who still till the earth.

And when I search a faceless crowd,
A swirling mass of grey and black and white.
They don’t look real to me,
In fact, they look so strange.

Raise your glass to the hard working people,
Lets drink to the uncounted heads.
Lets think of the wandering millions,
Who need leaders but get gamblers instead.

Spare a thought for the stay at home voter,
His empty eyes gaze at strange beauty shows.
And a parade of the grey suited grafters,
A choice of cancer or polio.

And when I search a faceless crowd,
A swirling mass of grey and black and white.
They don’t look real to me,
In fact, they look so strange.

Lets drink to the hard working people,
Lets think of the lowly of birth.
Spare a thought for the rag taggy people,
Sets drink to the salt of the earth.

Lets drink to the hard working people,
Lets drink to the salt of the earth.
Lets think of the two thousand million,
Lets think of the humble of birth

Title: Tie Your Mother Down
Written by: Brian May (for Queen)

Performed live:
This was performed live on two occasions.
04.20.92 - Wembley Stadium, London, England
06.13.92 - Wembley Stadium, London, England
On both occasions the band was joined on stage by Brian May

Lyrics:
Get your party gown
Get your pigtail down
Get your heart beatin' baby
Got my timin' right
Got my act all tight
It's gotta be tonight my little
Schoolbabe

Your momma says you don't
And your Daddy says you won't
And I'm boilin' up inside
Ain't no way I'm gonna lose out this time

Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Lock your Daddy out of doors
I don't need him nosing around
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Give me all your love tonight

You're such a dirty louse
Go get outta my house
That's all I ever get from you
Family ties, in fact I never heard
A single little civil word from you guys
But you know I don't give a light
I'm gonna make out all right
I've got a sweetheart hand
To put a stop to all that
Shouting and fighting goin' on

Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Take your little brother swimmin'
With a brick (that's all right)
Tie your Mother down,
Tie your Mother down
She you ain't no friend of mine

Your momma and your Daddy gonna
Plague me til I die
They don't understand I'm just a
Peace lovin' guy
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Tie your Mother down
Give me all your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
Give it to me

But I just couldn't tell her so
I said, train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
With a "heave!", and a "ho!"
But I just couldn't tell her so, no, no, no

Well, get along, sweet little woman get along
On your way, get along, sweet little woman get along
On your way, I'm in heat, I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her so, no, no, no

Well, on a train, I met a dame
She rather handsome, but (???) the same
She was pretty, from New York City
I'm walkin' down that old fair lane
I'm in heat, I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her so

I said, train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
With a "heave!", and a "ho!"
But I just couldn't tell her so, no, no, no

Well, get along, sweet little woman get along
On your way, get along, sweet little woman get along
On your way, I'm in heat, I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her

Well, we made a stop in Albuquerque
She must'a thought I was a real cool jerk
Got off the train, and put her hands up
Lookin' so good I couldn't let her go
But I just couldn't tell her so

I said, train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
Train kept a-rollin' all night long
I'm in heat, I'm in love
But I just couldn't tell her

Title: We're An American Band
Written by: Cram Renraff (for Grand Punk Railroad)

Performed live:
We're An American Band'" was performed live in Los Angeles, CA at least once in 1985.

Lyrics:
On the road for forty days
Last night in Little Rock put me in a haze
Sweet, sweet Connie - doin' her act
She had the whole show and that's a natural fact
Up all night with Freddy King
I got to tell you poker's his thing
A-booze 'n ladies keep me right
As long as we can make it to the show tonight
We're an American band
We're an American band
We're coming to your town
We'll help you party it down
We're an American band

Four young chaquitas in Omaha
Was waitin' for the band to return from the show
Feelin' good, feelin' right, it's Saturday night
The hotel detective -- he was out-a-sight
Now, these fine ladies, they had a plan
They was out to meet the boys in the band
They said, "Come on, dudes, let's get it on"
And we proceeded to tear that hotel down

We're an American band
We're an American band
We're coming to your town
We'll help you party it down
We're an American band

We're an American band
We're an American band
We're coming to your town
We'll help you party it down
We're an American band

We're an American band
We're an American band
We're coming to your town
We'll help you party it down
We're an American band

We're an American band
We're an American band
We're coming to your town
We'll help you party it down
We're an American band

We're an American Band, Ooo-ooo
We're an American Band, Ooo-ooo
We're an American Band, Ooo-ooo

Title: Wild Horses
Written by: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (for Rolling Stones)

Performed live:
Wild Horses was performed as an intro to Patience after Gilby joined the band. They usually played the whole song. However, Axl mostly just sang a few lines, and the rest of the song was done instrumental.
It was also played live on June 22, 2000 at the Cat Club, West Hollywood, CA. Axl joined Gilby Clarke on stage to perform the song.

Lyrics (the lines Axl did in GnR):
Wild horses, couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses we'll ride them someday
Wild horses, couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses we'll ride them someday

Lyrics for the whole song:
Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady you know who I am
You know I can’t let you slide through my hands

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away

I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
Now you decided to show me the same
No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away

I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don’t have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Let’s do some living after we die

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we’ll ride them some day

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we’ll ride them some day

I have a bird that whistles
And I have birds that sing
I have a bird that whistles
And I have birds that sing

Oh, oh, buy a diamond ring

You know you shook me, baby
You shook me all night long
I know you really, really, did baby

7. Other rarities and mislabels:

Axl Blues
Blues Jam
Booze Party
Intrumental Jam
Scrap Bar Daze
Too Fast To Live
West Coast Junkies

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Axl Blues
Written by: Guns n' Roses

Information:
The "song" often labeled as Axl Blues is a part of the song called Blues Jam. One show, at the end of Blues Jam, Axl comes on stage and rants about security and about Bon Jovi. The band just keep jamming while Axl rants. After that they kick in to Out Ta Get Me. This was at the show on 12.19.87 - Dane County Coliseum, Madison, WI. So even though it is just an extention of Blues Jam, combined with a rant, this song can be found on many bootlegs. Sometimes with the entire Blues Jam, but sometimes just from where Axl starts ranting.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Blues Jam
Written by: Guns n' Roses

Performed live:
Blues Jam is an instrumental jam that Guns n' Roses played multiple times in the late 80's. Axl usualy went off stage during this intermission. Axl announced it once as "here's something the boys have been working on. This is a little blues jam for you!". The jam/song isn't always exactly the same, but it is still recognisable.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Booze Party
Written by: Probably Guns n' Roses

Information:
This track can be found on some bootlegs. It is the same track as the one called West Coast Junkies. This is in intro with a few lines of lyrics. It sounds like it was recorded live in a bar of some kind. After a minute it kicks in to the intro riff of You're Crazy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Intrumental Jam
Written by: Guns n' Roses

Information:
This track is found a lot on the internet, and on several bootlegs. However, it is simply the intrumental version of the Guns n' Roses song Ain't Going Down.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Scrap Bar Daze
Written by: Guns n' Roses

Information:
This is an early performence of Yesterdays. It seems to be recorded in a bar. Definately not in the studio.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Too Fast To Live
Written by: Probably Guns n' Roses

Title: West Coast Junkies
Written by: Probably Guns n' Roses

Information:
This track can be found on some bootlegs. It is the same track as the one called Booze Party. This is in intro with a few lines of lyrics. It sounds like it was recorded live in a bar of some kind. After a minute it kicks in to the intro riff of You're Crazy.
