I contacted the radio station and Merck again.
Someone in the program director's office, Jeff McMurray, insisted Axl would be there with Izzy. So, I contacted Merck again.
He said ''this is rubbish" and asked who told me this. I gave him the person's name and phone number.
I asked again if it was possible that Axl had booked this on his own with Izzy. But Merck emphasized again "Axl will not be there."

I'm more inclined to believe Merck than that radio station, so I'll take his word for it.
