I think that the show at Rock in Rio will be broadcasted live on the portuguese channel "SIC RADICAL". Two years ago I saw Metallica in RIR, here in Portugal, on that channel, live broadcast. I know that some countries receive this channel. Try inform yourself about this!!
Keep on rockin'

Axl probably meant there was no lip-synching.

There were more people at this show - even jam-packed like sardines in the VIP sections - than any of the previous shows.

If this show was the most crowded does that mean the other shows weren't sold out?

( I didn't get to the backstage party because certain people weren't happy with my "Axl Attitude" thread. )

Seriously?! :o After all your years of support for this band and all those people you've banned for Axl bashing? So much for loyalty.

And maybe it's you because friday this guy almost kicked some dude's butt but he walked away scared :P .....well if it isn't you then sorry....great quick review...I just can't believe I missed watching Izzy....and Rocket Queen  ...oh well

Ummmm. I think you have the wrong chick lol. My girl had brown eyes and blonde hair. Then again it may have been me, Can't really tell eye color in a crowded concert. But yeah there's always got to be some douchebag that ruins it for everyone. Seems like the section I was in the rowdiest section. My uncle was on Bumble's side and he was front the whole time with no problem.

WOW!!! SO much to post. Quick review. Awesome show. Was in front up until Patience....cause this FAT FUCKING ASSHOLE kept on elbowing my girlfriend in the head. Almost got into a fight with him so I had to leave the front. On the way out I did kick him square in the face with my boot and spat right in his mouth FUCKER!! Anyway, AWESOME show. Axl had vocal problems during IRS, stopped the show during Nightrain because Brain fucked up the intro. His voice was great the whole show overall. Place WENT NUTS when Izzy came out, th same for Kid Rock. I met Jimmy Fallon, Kid Rock, Enrique Ingleses, Jamie Lynn Singler (Meadow on the Sopranos) and the chick who plays Adriana on the Sopranos. Axl saw I was singing Better and kept staring at me and smiling cause I was one of the only people in my section who knew the words. All in all, great concert. I liked the first night better (friday) but this show kicked ass cause of Izzy. It was great. I saw the set list, and Rihad was on there but they never played it. Thats it for now. oh...and...AXLDEMOCRACY if you get this.......IM me ManThatTime4got@aol.com (it's Evan from Jersey).

Later guys

The concert was unbelievable! I saw them on 92 (no Izzy, but Gilby Clark), 2002 and last night. As I was telling my friend, yes it sucks that it is not the old band, but once you hear the first chords of Welcome To The Jungle you just forget about everything, Axl is an amazing front man, regardless of everything else. Here are a few impressions:
• The venue was awesome. I’ve been there for other events, never concerts, and I was gladly surprised. I’m not sure if I ever going to have the chance to see such a great band on such a small venue. At the beginning I was about 10 or 15 people behind the stage without even trying, by the end I was about 5 people from the stage
• The audience was great! I’m about to be 30 and I have to tell you, it’s getting harder to stand still for fucking 5 hours! I was a little concern that people were going to get too nuts and start to hit each other. There was nothing to worry about! Everybody was really into it, and there was no pushing or aggression at all.
• I was surprised to see a few kids (I’m talking about 10 or 12). I think is cool that their parents take them to see this awesome band, but it doesn’t seem to be too safe to have kids in the floor, if you are going to bring them, take them to where they can sit and they won’t be crushed! Hey that’s just me!
• Now to the music: Axl’s voice was incredible! So, SO much better than in 02. His energy was great and I’m so glad he left the spandex shorts back in the 90’s
• Izzy was there, he looked old I must say, but if you really think about it all those guys passed 40… and they still rock! The first song Izzy played was Think About you, he cam back for Patience and then for Nighttrain
• Sebastian Bach was on stage for My Michelle… that’s another 40+ year old that still can headbang like a pro. Great chemistry and great performance!
• Nighttrain started twice, I read that one of the guitarists fuck it up, I was almost sure it was the drums. Axl said something like “we rehearse this song twice today” or something like that, and then: “see? This is still Guns N Roses”. When it finally started Axl introduced Kid Rock. He did an ok job, I’m not a big fan, but it still was very exciting. It was funny how he followed whatever Axl did. After the chorus, Axl went backstage, and Kid Rock followed him, but went to the other side of the stage, he did this at least 3 times.
• I’m not too crazy about the guitar solos. I guess Slash spoiled us, since he was/is so fucking great (say whatever you want, but you cannot compare any of the solos played last night to any of slash’s, period). The only kind of cool was their version of Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful”, yeah kind of gay, but it sounded pretty cool.
• The finale was insane!!! Paradise City, as always, was over the top! There was stage diving, and tons of confetti (I still cannot believe that somebody is actually selling that confetti on ebay!!, just for the heck of it I saved some for myself). At the end, Axl threw his microphone to the crowd. The lights went off, and after 2 or 3 minutes, the whole band came out. Axl called for Lenny Kravitz, but he never showed up.
• Now a few random notes: Axl thanked a bunch of people, he had a list and he read from it at least 3 times. I remember he thanks Sebastian Bach and his family and the NYPD (there was some kind of joke here)
• Dizzy looks so damn thin!
• The opening band sucked, sorry, but they didn’t deserve the privilege of opening for GNR.
• If you are wearing a thong and feel embarrassed because other people could see it DO NOT get on top of your friend/boyfriend/husband/lover random concert guy’s shoulders, cause EVERYBODY behind you is going to see your thong! Plus you are blocking the fucking view, you cow! (sorry, I had to said it)

I think that’s it, if I remember something else I’ll post back

Oh my god last night's performance was by far the greatest Guns N Roses concert I have been to. It blew the doors off of last Friday's performance. The band is starting to gel nicely and finally, finally bumblefoot is coming fotward and displaying his talents. I was really worried that he would be a dope and stand in the corner again, but not this time, he totally ripped through solos. I know I blasted this band last week, but they have improved 100% over that performance...here were the highlights:

1. Better: This is by far the greastest live Guns N Roses song going right now. The energy coming from this song is just unprecedented...it rocks harder than anything on Appetite, yet has some incredible hearfelt lyrics to boot...unbelievable, that's all I can say.

2. Izzy fucking Stradlin: It was so special seeing Axl and Izzy together again. While Izzy doesn't really musically do much up there (4 guitarists is silly) it's just one of those GNR moments in time that fans will remember. Now if Izzy came out and started to play Don't Cry, then the roof really would have blown off.

3. 2 1/2 Hour Setlist: These guys played a lot of material last night. You could tell Axl was having a blast and he was giving New York City one hell of a send off. Rocket Queen sounded ten times better then it did in 2002 and I really think Axl is in tip top shape this time around. People that say he is losing his voice are crazy, he belted every song and every note perfectly.

4. Fink doesn't Fuck Up Anymore: It's about time, but now Fink is spot on with all of his solos and playing. In 2001-2002 this wasn't the case and he was butchering everything, but now, you can just sit back and enjoy his playing.

I am really so impressed by last night's show that I could go on and on about how amazing it was. Kid Rock and Axl singing Nightrain, fucking rocked! Here are my only concerns:

1. Sing more new songs: Am I the only one that is just tired of hearing My Michelle and Out To Get Me? While these songs rock, they just don't do it for me anymore and I would rather hear something from the Illusions or a new Chinese D song.

2. Capture this momentum and do something with it: Axl has all cylinders firing and he needs to drop the album sooner than later. I can't see them needing any more studio time to wrap it up, so what's the deal? He always makes it sound like the tour will preclude the albums release if it doesn't go well. But I think the album out would make the touring process so much more fun for the band.

Reading what some people on this board are bitching about blows my mind. I mean, anyone that saw Axl and Kid Rock do Nightrain knows how fucking great it was. Yet people on here bitch and complain. He sounded awesome, through everysong, plain and simple. So many jealous motherfuckers that weren't able to see him are bitching and bitching. Listen you bootleg bitches, go see this new band, then cry my a river. You don't know shit.
