No! They continued with Patience, Nightrain, IRS and Paradise City

My thoughts on last night in Nottingham

1) Support bands were crap

2) When G`n`R FINALLY made it on stage, why so many guitarists (apart from Izzy)? Lets be honest, the 3 guitarists are SO lacking in personality that they are instantly forgettable and have a joint personality count of 0.4.

And why the pointless solos?

3) Stage show/effects were brilliant, the best I`ve seen in my 11 G`n`R shows (and I was there at their FIRST UK gig)

4) Sound. Oh dear, oh dear, oh deary me!! Why, at this gig, did they choose to put a trainee on the sound desk? After the first 4 songs you could hardly hear the vocals above the guitars in the mix.

5) Setlist - Still not sure about this one; if Axl wants to see this incarnation of G`n`R as something new (and he is trying to distance himself from the old band) , then why play so much from Appetite.....?

I went to that show and to be honest I thought it was awsome :) Of course I would have LOVED to see the original band ( <3 slash) but unfortunately i was between the age 0 - 3 when they were still together lol The original band would have been a hell of alot better, but I still thought the show was good, even tho they kept us waiting!!! The only things that kinda let it down were the crappy support bands <_< , the long wait, some of the really long solos, the fact i went with my dad who was doing jimi hendrix impressions throughout the whole time, and I REALLY miss Slash who gave the band so much character etc etc etc

Even tho there were some bad points, i still enjoyed it as did alot of other people i know who went and if they ever come back here, i'll deffo go see them again :) !!!
