My friend and IO got there at about 1:30-2pm and had to go to the Blue Door entrance. As we were coming up we saw a couple of people just hanging around the place and going into the surrounding restaurants but we assumed a line would already be forming so went to the doors to see if we thought correctly. We got there and saw that there wasn't much of a queue....one other person was there. His name was Matt and was really cool--he looked a lot like the frontman for Towers Of London. We chatted with him for hours--until about 4pm when other people came. he told us that he knew the frontman for 'Guns 2 Roses' (who my friend and I had seen perform at the Underworld in Camden). He told us that the frontman had been to 76 GnR shows and personally knew Axl. He said he'd grown up with him (which baffled me a bit 'cos I thought the frontman looked quite young..). He also said that if 'Guns 2 Roses' weren't playing a show that night they it would've been highly probable that the frontman would've got VIP tickets, thus, also enabling him to take Matt backstage. I was suprised that no other people had really arrived--I guess 'cos I live in London I expect people to get there early and for the queue to be huge.
Eventually we got into the stadium and my friend and I ran to the bar--we got right to the front just right of the centre. Bas put on a good show--he's so energetoc and puts his all into it. Bullet For My Valentine were a bit of a yawn fest, all their songs seemed to mingle into one long song.
Guns hit the stage at about 8:45pm (I think). From the beginning, it seemed Azl was dissatisfied with something. The first time he went offstage, he went to hand the mic over to the control people but as he did, you could hear him say 'tell them there's technical difficulties..'--and sure enough--that's what they said.
Here's some particularly memorable moments:
--The girl next to me tossing a rose up onstage which landed right next to Axl--but he didn't pick him up despite me being all in his face and clearly pointing to it--which he saw me doing. Fortus picked it up, put it in his mouth and played for a bit then put it on the speakers.
--Izzy and Axl doing 'You gotta Move'
--When I looked to the right of the stage and saw Bas watching from the side, I made horns and was like 'YEAH!!' and he made horns back then blew me a kiss

The we made eye contact again and started talking using our hands. During #Paradise City' I was really happy and made eye contact with him--he pointed to the dtage as if to say 'Can you believe this??' I think, if I coulda stayed for a while longer or called him over or something, I would have got the chance to talk to him.
--Finck's ceerraazzzyy ballet/morris dancing feet.
--THE WHOLE FUCKIN' SHOW!!
I only got back today--I would have written earlier but I had to go to a house party straight after I returned home. The whole show was great. I still think Hammersmith was better though.
