Does anyone who has been to the SECC on several occasions also think that Hall 4 has poor sound quality? it didnt happen with GN'R but it has with amny other bands, anyone have any thoughts on what it was like tonight?

It's utter shite for a gig - especially for a band like Gn'R.

I loved every minute of last night (well apart from the fuckwits who decided to start a crush at the beginning) but the sound was dreadful in places.

The SECC wasn't purposely built for concerts so I suppose that's one of the reasons why the sound is generally dodgy.

Hopefully they'll come back and pick a better venue next time.

As a Glasgow boy I have been to the SECC many times and always said its terrible for sound. Great gigs but the sound is poor, if only the Barrowlands was big enough!! Saw U2, Staind, Velvet Revolver (x2) and GnR there and the only complaint is the sound, the Armadillo next door is built for acoustics but its all seater and that will not do!!! Its just everywhere else is too small so its SECC or a stadium.

LOVED the show tho!

I've been in the 'Dillo too - and despite it being a seated venue, it is a hundred times better!

I really do hope we get a return visit from Gn'R - but I doubley hope it's not at the SECC.

Hell, I'd be happy with a Celtic Park gig! ;) :D

Perhaps they would, perhaps they wouldn't...who knows?!

I'd quite like the idea of them doing Welcome To The Jungle there tho, given one of the stands used to be called the jungle, and of course there's the Jungle Bhoys!

Paradise City would be a good 'un to do as well - Parkhead is often nicknamed paradise! :D :rofl-lol:

Nah... Ibrox all the way :P j/k Seriously i think the SECC is fine for what it's worth, it's a good sized venue and the sound last night was pretty damn good and i've never had any complaints as to it before but if you want truly Great sound then go for the barrowlands

Ibrox, Parkhead - makes no odds to me! I just quite like the way two songs could tie in with Parkhead! Lol! :P

Barrowlands is def amazing - but too bloody small for Gn'R. :(

Nevermind, when I win the lottery tonight, I'll build a new venue - espec for Gn'R!!! :rofl-lol:

We'll hopefully have a great new venue for these shows when the National Arena is built next to the SECC. But we'll have to wait till 2010 for it...!

Guns N' Roses at Balloch Country Park would be amazing. And I live 10 minutes away from it.
I'm not saying that we could do better, but given the chance we'd try
We'd dig up the earth's timeworn soil and fill the trench with greedy eyes
