So after seeing the show the night before and meeting Robin, I couldn't believe I was going to see them yet AGAIN.

Last night was by far the best show I've ever seen in my life. :o The sound was 100% improved from the previous night. The whole band was super tight, I can't put to words how incredible it was.

One thing I noticed was Pitman playing part of Mr Brownstone with his ass. But yea they came out at about 11:15 or so..

Welcome To The Jungle
Its So Easy
Mr Brownstone
Live and Let Die
Knockin on Heavens Door
Robin Solo (different than any other solo hes done, really crazy and awesome!)
SCOM
You Could Be Mine
The Blues
Better
Richard Solo/Beautiful w/Robin
Out Ta Get ME
November Rain
Ron Solo
My Michelle
IRS
Used To Love Her
Patience
Nightrain

Madagascar
Paradise City

I might be a bit mixed up with a couple songs.

Highlights for me was IRS, UTLH, Mr Brownstone, and SCOM. Robin was so fucking on this night. Axl wasn't nearly as talkative as the night before, but he did mention they invited Izzy to join them but Izzy was driving around in his truck in the deserts of Mexico. :rofl-lol:

This was better than New York. Out of the 4 shows I saw I put them in this order performance wise

Sept 17
May 17, NY
Nov 22 2002, Pittsburgh
Sept 16

Thats not to say the night before was bad, it was amazing, but the sound was 100% improved and the band and Axl just sounded better. These guys need to release this album because it will take over the fucking world! I hope they are here to stay this time.

What a fucking weekend! rock3

Yea Pitman spends a good deal of the show sitting on the floor Indian Style doing his thing. Quite amusing!

Anyway, I agree with A_D, this show was a lot better than the previous night and dare I say they sounded a lot better than when I saw them at Hammerstein. Just fantastic!!!

The sound was terrible on the 16th, so the fact that it was better on the 17th isn't surprising. It definitely couldn't have been any worse.

I thought it was because I was so close to the stage, but talking to people afterwards who were hanging by the bar, they said it was bad back there too. Looks like all the yelling Axl did at Merck and the sound guy the night before paid off.

Finally, GNR played a great show from beginning to end with no glitches. Sound mix was near perfect. Axl was audible (but still low in the mix) but his vocals were very good. The band played the new songs and were tight-they "know" how to play these songs live and Axl knew the words and kept in tune, all signs of good things to come.

I saw GNR on 010101 and 02-Chicago as well as 4 times in the 90's. They have never been this tight and I finally believe that this incarnation of GNR could surpass the old GNR. Yeah, it's blasphemy, but this band has grown over the past 5 years and I hope the world gives the new band a fair chance to be on top again.

All 3 guitarists were dead on and entertaining. As in Europe, they look like a fucking rock band and have the chops to back it up. Best GNR show I've ever been to...so far. I thought Bucket would be missed, and I wasn't sold on Bumble- but Bumble will prove to be the better fit overall for this band.

Only complaint- Joint should be louder- too many venues aren't cranking up the volume anymore. But I guess that's what I have Manowar for.

Oh man, that sounds awesome. They should hire five or six other dudes to sit around on stage.

I suggest he find guys with cool names like Brick, The Mazz, Lance, Zip Zapman, or MunkEDoodle. Then Finck should teach them some cool dance moves.

Plus, everyone in the band needs a rotating bouncy keyboard. Even if they don't play it, it doesn't matter. Pit(t)man doesn't play his half the time but it's still out there. Imagine all those instruments and dudes on stage at once! It would be like a rock n' roll orchestra. That would mean that Axl's writing some real smart guy music, you know? Like Mowtzart or Baytoven.

That way he'd finally prove to Slash and the world that he was the real musikal geneus.
PM me to find out about a really cool Chris Pitman fan site.
