Me and a friend, flew out from Nashville to Vegas to meet up with a friend of ours. We spent Friday night in Vegas partying it up.

Saturday, we woke up a the buttcrack of dawn and headed to Devore, it was a three hour drive, and by the time we arrived, there was a ton of people waiting to get in. Most of the people were wearing either GNR or Avenged Sevenfold shirts. We talked with a lot of people, everyone was excited to see GNR.

All of the bands were good, Poets and Pornstars got the show rolling, and they were fun to see, I loved their band name. Atreyu (not sure if I spelled that right) came on next, and while Poets and Pornstars were good, Atreyu was head and shoulders above them. Things only kept getting better. Each band out did the next....

The highlights of the show for me was 30 Seconds to Mars, their entrance was Bad Ass, I wasn't sure anyone would top that, and no one did until GNR. Avenged Sevenfold played a bad ass set, I believe everyone stood through the entire thing. Muse played a good set, I hadn't heard much about them but I was impressed with the music and the power they were able to create on stage, Muse didn't talk much to the crowd, and I thought they went on a little too long, but still they kicked ass. Alice In Chains owned, earlier in the day me and my friend met Chester from Linkin Park, we hung out with him for a bit, got our picture taken with him, and he told us he was going to be doing a song with Alice in Chains, so when he came out it wasn't a big surprise to us. We talked with Chester about GNR he was excited as hell to see em play, said he was a big GNR fan.

Anyways, after Alice in Chains ended their set, thats when things heated up. This was my first time ever seeing GNR. I had read a lot about them, and I wasn't sure what to expect.

The atmosphere in the place suddenly changed as soon as Alice In Chains set was rolled off, and GNR's took front center. I suddenly knew that I was in the very heart of the Jungle. The crowd began to get impatient, there were people next to me that started a huge Axl Sucks chant, trash was being showered everywhere, fires were being set in the lawn area, one guy set his coat on fire waved it over his head and threw it into the crowd. Fights were breaking out everywhere, then suddenly the lights went out, and a thunderous roar came out of the crowd like I've never heard. They had called out the beast, and as the creepy intro music played, you knew that the beast was about to welcome you to his jungle. Suddenly the spotlight came on and there was Finck, playing the intro to Jungle, then came that unmistakable voice. "DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE FUCK YOU ARE!!!!!?" at that moment all was forgiven.

I've read a lot of bad reviews over their european tour mostly from dicks in the press that didn't have a fucking clue anyways, and I've read some bad reviews from disgruntled fans. When you go to a GNR show, you know you are going to have to wait, so why beat yourself up over it, sit back and enjoy the crisis. Anyways, Axl was on top form, his voice sounded brilliant, sounded way better than any concert performance I've ever seen of the band on DVD. He was full of energy running around on stage like he was possessed by a demon. There were a lot of people around me that were fully impressed by Robin Finck, Richard Fortus, and Ron Thal as they played through their solo's. I really don't understand all the fucking complaints about the solo's, whats not to like about watching three incredibly gifted guitar players play the fuck out of a guitar? Everyone in the band seemed to be in good spirits, and enjoying themselves. They all showed a lot of soul during their guitar solo's, I left the show, feeling like I knew all the guitar players a little better. The highlights of the set was of course Jungle....of course, then Maddy, Better, and November Rain. I really enjoyed the new version of KOHD. The new songs were all well recieved, no one really knew the songs, but they enjoyed them. They wanted to sing a long they just didn't know the words... After the new songs were played, I leaned over and asked people what they thought, and they all agreed that it kicked ass. Better, and Maddy were everyones favorites. Everyone stood through the entire GNR set, it was amazing. I'm going back for round 2, Oct 22nd in Nashville.

As for right now, I'm going to bed, my head still hurts, my ears are still ringing, and I'm light headed. For those of you who arent sure about these guys, words can't really describe a GNR show, Go see em live for yourself, you will not be dissapointed. Everyone at Inland Invasion put on a helluva show, and rocked out, but in the end Guns N' Roses stole the show, and were leagues ahead of everyone else.
