GNR REVIEW
Well, I was lucky enough to have gotten floor space to watch the greatness of AXL. Anyway, before AXL even took the stage, there were about 5,000 fights in the audience. First, two guys started fighting up in the stands, and it took about 5 security guards just to separate them. It was awesome. I tried to take a picture of it with my camera phone, but I accidentally forgot to store it. Sorry!
Anyway, after that there were about 3 or 4 more fights in the floor area, and the security did an excellent job of kicking out the miscreants. The funniest fight was a non fist fight. There were these 2 couples that were there, and apparently the two women had a verbal altercation and one of them was crying and yelling at her boyfriend, telling him that she wanted to leave. You should have seen that poor bastard--He was doing the ol' hand on the head, exasperated boyfriend of a needy-girl look. He also was rubbing his temples as if to relieve the stress of his insane girlfriend.
Then, we all were standing around for about an hour waiting on AXL to show up. Finally they took the stage around 11:50 and played until a little after 2 AM. Here's the setlist that I found on the internet and I can confirm that this is correct:
1. Welcome To The Jungle
2. It's So Easy
3. Mr. Brownstone
4. Live and Let Die
5. Knockin' On Heavens Door
6. Better
7. Band Jam (Indian Groove)
8. Sweet Child O' Mine
9. You Could Be Mine
10. Dizzy Reed Piano Solo
11. The Blues
12. Band Jam
13. Guitar Solo
14. Out Ta Get Me
15. IRS
16. Piano Jam / November Rain
17. Don't Cry Guitar Solo
18. Rocket Queen
19. Madagascar
20. My Michelle
21. You're Crazy (AFD)
22. Patience
23. Nightrain
ENCORE
24 Chinese Democracy
25. Paradise City
As you can see, this is quite an extensive set list. I was particularly impressed by "Rocket Queen," "Paradise City," "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," "November Rain..." ok, I was impressed by the whole set list. It was fucking fantastic. Axl's voice was spot-on, and his stage presence was as great as always. I was disappointed in the small crowd, however. I don't understand why the GNR/AXL camp is not promoting this tour. It doesn't any sense to me, because when I was telling people that I was going to see GNR, most of them were like, "Huh?? I didn't even know they were touring." That's my whole point. What the fuck is going on?
Anyway, it was a good good time. It is safe to say, that none of AXL's three guitar players had the charisma of Slash, or his talent (in my opinon,) but they were extremely talented, nonetheless.
The band was tight and cohesive, and made very few mistakes. Each guitar player and even the piano player, they all had 4 to 5 minute solos, which was pretty cool, but it only added on time to a concert that didn't end until 2 in the morning. If I lived in that area and didn't have to make such a long drive back, I probably wouldn't have minded it at all.
As the show ended with "Paradise City," I went crazy from sleep deprivation and started dancing a fool. It was great. I loved it. Axl thanked the crowed and generally seemed very upbeat and positive, despite the poor attendance.
I got some neat pictures.
byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyieyiahahahahahahhaahahahhahahha.
AXL RULES(d)!

LOL, we watched them from the seats and they were great entertainment for quite some time. The funniest part was when she was wailing her arms and throwing her fit, he takes his over shirt off and she puts it in her bag to carry it for him, and then gets right back to her fit.
