Well, if any of you have any doubts about GNR, you should go to a concert. WOW, it was fucking amazing. Axl sounded great, the band sounded great. Like some of the other threads have said, doen't complain about the band or the setlist unless you have gone to a show. Hearing those songs live is a thing of beauty, new or old.

How many people here are Canadian? Do you smoke pot? Holy shit...................everybody at that show was smoking reafer.............WTF............"A". And if they weren't smoking reafer, they were smoking a cigarette. The one guy in front of me was so stoned, he fell asleep during Guns. If your going to take a nap at least do it before GNR takes stage.......................crazy bastards. I smelled like pot, and had to drive back to NY that same night. Thought for sure they would smell that shit on me at the boarder. Luckly they didn't. Ended up getting home a 4:30am......what a night.

Oh yeah, by the way............. rock1 ................"A"

There have been plenty of complaints by people that have gone as well as numerous observations by those that have gone that others in attendance didn't appear to enjoy the new songs or solos. Anything else?

For the most part people seemed enjoy it. Not a lot of people leaving there seats for anything. Mid way through the set people seemed to die down a little.........they were way stoned and way drunk by that time.

I've gone to 3 shows this year, so I guess that gives me the OK to complain. :book:

As far as smoking pot, same thing at MSG, at least the section where I was. Security was non-existent.

I really hate to say this, but my buddy and I went last night, and sat in section 321. We where totally impressed by the band...the piano solo was amazing....but, axl sucked big time...half the time we couldn't hear him at all....

we actually left the concert half way thru because it did not get any better...and, we where not the only ones to leave...I saw about 50 people leave at the same time, and a lot of them that we talked to felt the same as us. They where all saying how much Axl's voice sucked.

Now, I know what you're going to say, but I was very suprised by this. I saw them four years ago in London, and was very keen on last night. This was my buddy's first time seeing them...we where both very disapointed.

So, on my drive in this morning, all the dj's where saying how amazing he sounded.....is it possible that the sound was off in our section?

Robin throwing full water bottles into the crowd was a little dangerous when the house lights weren't on. But it was a kind gesture I guess.

Possibly, His voice was amazing on Monday night, so I assume he could have strained it or something, but you are the first to report that he didnt sound good, so it might just have been the acoustics aroun dyou.

I thought his voice sounded really good ^^ But it did get drowned out by the music at some points...Either way, best damn concert I've ever been to! I had a great time! Well, accept for the issue of all the people smoking cigarettes and pot >< It fuckin' smelled like shit; I hate weed and it's bad enough I have to live with my dad smoking around me all the time, its not like I need it at a concert, too...I've learned to expect this at concerts but it was really really bad this time D:

Anyway, I thought Axl looked and sounded great

He sounded really good, I was on the floor, however there were parts where he was lost in the mix and you couldn't hear him. That's a mixing fuckup and I don't get why it happens. If you were in the 300s, I suspect it would have been worse. Arenas are not exactly great places for sound to begin with.

At the end of the show it was still almost full, most people stuck it out. A few left before the encore (it was getting late).

Oh, and yeah it's Canada, no one really cares about pot ;) And people are shocked about weed at a concert? You guys haven't been to many shows then, at least not around these parts!

Suicide Girls were soooooooooooooooooooo much better than Mix Master Mike, and they put on a very decent show actually, especially the Resevoir Dogs bit ("Why do I have to be Mr. Pink/Because you're a fucking faggot").

You guys do realize that GnR was born out of drug abuse, right?

Very possible. I was front row on the GA floor and heard Axl perfect all night. His voice was great too.
