What a coincidence! Just today I listened to the full album again after 2-3 years. And yeah, it’s a great one. What a debut! What an attitude! What talent. I was impressed all over again. They were SO good! Damn...

Best rock album of the 80's. One of the best of all-time. I still remember my friend bringing the cassette over and playing it for me. I instantly gravitated to the interplay of Izzy and Slash. I just knew this album was gonna be huge. Of course, it did take a while for it to catch on in a grand scale. But it will always go down as one of rock's best!

If GNR today came out with something as simple as Train Tracks , with Axl and Izzy sharing vocals and Slash tearing up the slide, it'd be received like the second coming. Play it after Nightrain and before Locomotive.... we've got a second song trilogy; this one about the glory of trains. See how easy this is.

Agreed. The bloke wants us to go somewhere hot next year for our summer holiday. I don't.

So now they're selling individual trinkets from the LnL box. Now you can get those silly rings without buying the whole box https://www.merchbar.com/hard-rock-metal/guns-n-roses?sort_by=created&sort_type=desc

I'm indifferent to this movie. I'll probably see it while it's out but I'm going in with zero expectations. The fact that Hamilton is praising it means nothing to me honestly. All that could mean is that she was paid enough to return to the franchise and say positive things. I'm not saying it's going to be bad, I'm just saying that I'm not assuming it'll be good.

I wouldn't advise anyone to go outside, in the sun it will feel like 50 degrees. No, I'm going to hide in the darkest room I have and drink myself silly and pass out and hopefully not wake up until this heat wave is over. See you all in September (or October).

Fuck me, it's happening, they are expecting the temperature to hit 40°C on thursday, that has never happened before in my neck of the woods. I still don't have air conditioning so I probably won't survive this one. Have I mentioned before how much I hate summer?

I personally didn't see any. But I also didn't look to hard at the vinyl since I had just recently ordered the double LP Red vinyl off of Amazon. Show was absolutely amazing, the first few songs were quite well done and fun but once Boulevard of Broken hearts came in the band was on fire for the remainder of the show. Call of The Wild was a good opener but I feel like Myles should sing it higher live it just sounded a little off. By The Sword was unreal, I cannot believe they took it out of the set for so long. Nightrain had the most crowd energy as one can expect Slash's solos didn't go on too long but I would be okay if they were shortened slightly so the band could play something else as well, like The Unholy, The Dissident or Beneath The Savage Sun, or even another of the longer ballads from Living The Dream. The One You Loved Is Gone was amazing the people behind me clearly didn't know Slash wasn't playing much GNR stuff since when the double neck came out they freaked out because they expected Civil War.

It's been 6 years already?!?! And almost 11 since the release of Chinese Democracy. That's just crazy, and the band with the most wasted time in history just continues to waste more time releasing nothing. There Was a Time when the Beatles basically had their entire career in 6 years - Ed Sullivan Show February 1964 - Officially broken up Spring 1970. And on topic, still really dig this song and always did. It's got a great sing-a-long vibe and love Axl's backing vocals.

I remember being at a kegger(probably in the fall of '87), we were playing whiffle ball and someone put on Appetite. I mentioned to someone that I liked it and if he knew anything about the band. He said not really except that the singer was a "wormy looking dude" and the guitar player looked like Cousin It from the Addams Family. That was my indoctrination to Appetite and to Guns.

Congratulations on Silver Ferns beating the evil Australians and winning the netball world cup incidentally. I watched two-three. It is a lot like Rugby actually, with turn over ball (i.e. dispossession) being the deciding factor, except the participants are easier on the eye.

Haha! Fair enough about the socks! But when you put on clothes to leave home. Work those shorts! I just have fans too. But I'm getting an AC, asap. I cant figure out the shower thing, I feel just as hot and messy minutes after both a cold or hot shower! I've been carrying wet naps - a "Dwyer shower" if you know the TV show Parks and Rec!

Surely the censored shit is cause everyone's a PC, walking on eggshells, pussy now. There's more money in the GNR "BRAND" if they can sell it like Pink Floyd and Ramones shirts at Wal Mart. All the offensive stuff will be scrubbed clean eventually. One in a Million was just the start. Apparently the bit on Live Era was either from the end of Brownstone in London 91, or the start of It's So Easy Paris 92. Or who knows, maybe they just threw it in the middle of those songs from a random show. No idea if it's from Donnington, cause I don't think I've ever heard the entire recording. Donington audio....go to listen quick before that cuntsac has it taken down.

I've read about the recent heatwave in North America. We had a heatwave at the end of June, but then the weather changed and for the past three weeks it's been lovely. Perfect summer weather. Temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees and plenty of sunshine. If we had summers like that for three months straight I would love summer, just like I did when I was a kid and heatwaves didn't occur half as often as they do now. But times are changing. The record is currently 38,6°C but it will probably be broken this week. At least summer is half over already!

Hey man, only saw this now. Thanks for the shout out! The weeds I was tripping on in June were those in my garden - a jungle of weeds! Only now, half way through July is my gardens weed free. And we had heat into the 40s too. Brutal in the fields! It broke just this morning and now I’m shivering as I sip my morning coffee. I guess I got used to the extreme heat. I’m seriously cold but it’s normal summer weather!! stay cool! It’s your natural state

Had a little road trip on Sunday and played all of Appetite in the car. This has gotta be the best road trip album. Doesn’t get any better than cranking the volume on Appetite and hauling ass down the highway!

It was the same version, but just a mono mix without Ron's hard panned guitar channel (labelled as a 2002 version). You can get the same thing by removing Ron's channel from the stereo mix.

Kiss at least put their hands up at the beginning, way back in the '70s, and said ''yes we'll sell you tat''. There was never this big charade about being ''punk'', ''street urchins'', etc etc. They never complained about ''ripping off the kids''.

He is a little rock and roll Diva with a bitchy attitude. When shit goes wrong for him its easy for him to blame his " Mental State " Reminds me a bit of Only Fools And Horses Slow Bus To Chingford when Granddad is caught out not handing out the flyers .... " It wasn't me Dell it was me brain "

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing an episode where he goes home to France(?) and iirc it was all a hallucination/dream/projection. It was very pastoral like this trailer. I guess Voyage Home also gives precedence to the real world landscape in Trek. I just need to hear one "Beverley" and I'll be satisfied.
