Hello, NeonKinight. Thank you for asking. My name is Wagszilla or Doctor Thaddeus T. Wagszilla as I am known in my professional circles. I can tell you with 100% sincerity that yes, W. Axl Rose has had vocal polyps surgery many times in his career. How do I know? Why, jumping Jehoshaphat, I performed the surgeries myself! The surgery was performed in a hospital at an undisclosed location with dim lighting, a variety of handpicked scented candles, a small group of African witch doctors chanting quietly in unison, as Yanni's greatest hits were played in the background. All in all, it took about 3 hours per surgery. You are welcome.

I hope you realize a hard Brexit will not only have consequences for Brits, but also for a lot of people in the EU who depend on trade with the UK. A hard Brexit will be bad news for everyone. Small businesses dealing with the UK will have to jump through a lot of hoops to be able to do their trade. So it's not exactly as if the EU will enjoy watching the UK drown, as you put it. No one will win. Also, Europe has been crippled by war twice in the previous century. We've had peace now for over 70 years. I know a lot of things go wrong in the EU, but I'm still a strong defender of the principle.

Last friday we chatted with Dave Dominguez about his time working on Chinese Democracy in 1998. He shared some stories about also working with Slash on the Curdled Movie soundtrack a few weeks before he quit GNR. He also recorded with Duff and Izzy as well. He also chatted about visiting Axl's house and what those early recording sessions with Mike clink were like in the late 90's! Discussion starts around 10-12 minutes into the interview. Enjoy! We've got another big interview coming next week with someone who worked with GNR back in the day!

Agreed. It was one thing to hold a referendum on some abstract notion of leaving the EU, but now that the rubber has hit the pavement, it would be far more prudent to see which possible actual outcome Britains want. Britain did this ass-backwards. They should have obtained a deal and then give people a chance to vote. The problem with giving people three options like you've outlined is that the leave side will be split. It's got to be a yes or no answer or the leave side will feel slighted. At the same time, a referendum isn't binding law. Representative government exists for a reason. Putting these things to a popular vote in the abstract is possibly the dumbest exercise in a functional democracy.

yeah surely Duff had been in more bands than anyone at that point, i am not sure if he had written full good songs at that point. izzy had written a lot of great songs with axl and chris webber. yes, izzy played drums and bass also in some other band (London if i am not mistaken) this is the Duff's quote about Izzy right after they recorded stuff for Duff's EP "I had a really good time just creating… I've played on a bunch of Izzy records over the last fifteen years, and it was just really nice to be in the studio with him for a couple of days. I really trust whatever he does. If he says, 'I've got a bridge. I've got a part,' I know he's got a part. It's not, like, 'Oh, let me hear it.' It's, like, 'Okay, he's got the part. Good. That's taken care of.' And, yeah, I'd like to do more music with him — always; for the rest of my life." source: http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/duff-mckagan-would-like-to-keep-making-music-with-izzy-stradlin-for-rest-of-his-life/

Thank you. Sometimes I when "GNR stories" are light, I hope that because the guest is still GNR-related people will care. I think it gives more freedom for the show and guests. I'd just talk horror with Slash for example...and hope that happens one day FYI upcoming interview with Frank Bello and David Ellefson. They'll be talking about their new band together, then will ask GNR questions at the end. Hopefully they have some! (didn't want to pass on the interview opportunity). Also another with Doug Goldstein, who said he's getting former UYI team members to have a reunion episode. Now THAT will have a ton of GNR stories.

whatever we may prefer, if they release something, it's all good. it's not gonna suck with Slash, Axl, and Duff on anything they agree is good imo. I think Axl has the talent to pick the right parts to use on the right tunes that will make it Gn'R no matter what so that's good enough for me. plus the 3 of them share a powerful musical chemistry and I think it means whatever they create together has more chance of being great. they balance one another naturally musically. but yeah, the original CD ll with Robin, Bucket, and Brain would be great to hear on a box set one day. It will also be great to hear Slash and Duff fuckin' raping Axl material and vice versa on another Guns album and then Bucket emerges from time to time and suddenly there's an SRV styled solo that is played by a freak of nature.

I used to be harsh on Gilby for not contributing on the original material but Axl didn't want to it seems and Gilby had ideas, he had Pawnshop Guitars which could have been used for parts on the next Guns record. (can't believe I just said that) Izzy will always be the greatest but Gilby did exactly what he should and could have done and he did it with grace.

  23. 2 points
True. Depending on the song, hardly anyone plays something correct note for note. Sometimes I want to learn a song 100% correct like they played it on the record, so I slow it down to really nail it and to get every single note right. Then when I check youtube, I notice that every professional guitar instructor on there has a different version and plays it slightly different. Most guitarists don't even play a riff or a solo exactly the way they played it on the record most of the time either, even when they're not trying to improvise.

All members of the EU have their own PMs or Presidents and their own Parliaments. They have plenty of power over their own nations. The EU also has a Parliament. All countries members of the EU send representatives to that Parliament. There is no one guy who comes up with some crazy law. Nobody was forced to be a member. In fact there are countries that are not members. Some countries have the Euro as their currency but other don't just like the UK. You can travel from Spain to Germany. And you don't need a visa nor there is customs. If you want to move from Poland to Belgium because you found a good job opportunuity. You can and you're not an illegal immigrant. There are students programs like Erasmus

We don't know if today that 52% is still there. We don't know if tomorrow that 52% is still there. We don't know if in ten years' time that 52% is still there. We don't know if in twenty years' time that 52% is still there. Hence the declamation that 2016 was an once in a lifetime vote. What part of ''once in a lifetime'' do remainers not understand - they after all advocated it just as much as leavers did? The far-right are already stirring, https://www.theguardian.com/politics/video/2019/jan/08/nazi-fascist-pro-brexit-group-targets-mp-and-journalist-outside-parliament-video-report Rescinding the 52% would certainly be a denial of democracy and hence represent an entire loss of faith in our political system.

Sometimes, as a player, your mind can deceive you. You think you're playing something perfectly as it was written but you're really not. There are different reasons for this. One being that you never were playing it properly or you have deviated from playing it correctly over time. This even happens to the musicians who wrote it. Ace Frehley had to pretty much relearn his solos for the Kiss reunion because he had been playing them wrong for years, as compared to the recorded versions. He wasn't even aware that he was playing incorrectly.

Finck seems so soft spoken and shy in interviews that it's almost shocking to see a side of him that's violent. The fact that he never, ever publicly commented on leaving Guns N' Roses blows my mind, too. There were so many questions surrounding his departure. He jumped ship just before the ship docked harbor.

We do need to look further. If Axl was all hubris and greed, he would have released several generic rock albums like Slash did and used the Vault times and again to make easy money. He would have done countless interviews. He would have done so much more in the late 90's and 2000's. If "Chinese Democracy" isn't definitive proof that Axl is patient and values quality over quantity, I don't know what is. Also, Axl doesn't feel the need to go on the internet and give an interview to cleanse his name everytime he feels insulted, contrary to you Mister Alan Niven. As for the jury, it's not a beauty pageant but a hypocrisy contest. If it was beauty we were talking about, Axl would have won, no question. Thing is, he was dead-on serious and honest. And was looking great. And the public doesn't like honesty so much, nor someone who looks too good, even to this day. They want to swallow lies from a fat pig and have the impression they are loved and told exactly what they want to hear. Nothing's changed in the past 30 years. Hence why Axl wasn't loved by this so-called jury. Fuck them. As for Alan, he should just shut up and remain silent. They all talk trying to get their own 15 minutes of fame and cleaning their name. Who was the real true talent that got everyone attracted to this specific band? Let's be honest, it's Axl. Sure the musicians were talented, but if it was not for Axl, I would never have cared for Guns n' Roses. He had everything going for him. Stop feeding off of this man's charisma and potential. He still has it, and he does whatever he wants because he can. He is legitimate. All I hear from these producers fucks is "blah blah blah he shitted on me blah blah blah". Fuck off.

Ep. 99 - Bruce McKagan talks Duff's happiness, charity, and brotherly love In episode 91 we heard from Matt McKagan, but now it's time to speak with another Duff-brother, Bruce. Bruce McKagan along with Duff will take part in an upcoming Renew Our Community event in York, South Carolina. With a great sense of humor, Bruce takes us through what it's like being a protective older brother, his musical path, and why this is the happiest he's ever seen Duff McKagan in Guns N' Roses. Special co-host Dallas Dwight will also be performing at the event with his band The L.A. Maybe. Its hilarious to me that Axl believed that the song would be a hippie song if on acoustic in a different arrangement. Like, the lyrics are still the same! How on Earth is "See me hit you, you fall down" a hippie thing? For no reason at all, here is my hippie lyric rewrite for first verse and chorus of ISE: I see your sister in a tie dye dress/ she's eats no meat/ her names Celeste/ makes zucchini cake/ its dry/ helps endangered apes mate Its so Etsy, Etsy/ when everybody's omming to free me, baby/ yeah its so Etsy, Etsy/ when the Tarot Cards are all seeing I'll see myself out

What do you mean by African countries? Most of them have dictators. Some of them are involed in wars with other African countries. Nobody is trying to force Britain. When you signed a document it means you have rights but also obligations. When the EU was created the UK wanted to be part of it. For the most part the before and after event was the 2008 economic crisis. The EU decided to take hard policies in order to fix the mess. And for a lot of people it turned out to be very difficult times. They felt the EU hurt them instead of helping them. The best example of this is Greece. But their own local leaders have to take a look at their own mistakes.

Surely then its the populations fault for voting on shit they didn't know fuck all about. Because there's always disinformation about, isn't there? I mean by definition if you have two options to pick from one sides gonna be singing up one option and the other side singing up the other, if you believed the cunts and took the cunt path well thats your look out, should've been more savvy. These sorts of notions lend themselves more to anti-democratic notions than anything, because the insinuation is that the public are too thick to know whats best for them, as evidenced by the fact that they got blagged into voting for a big nothing with fuck evidence. I mean there was more than one opposing voice to the idea of Brexit, its not like there was some sort of media blackout on the anti-Brexit position, end of the day you can't point the finger at someone else if you (and by you i mean we, we the people, not you personally) were stupid enough to believe the bullshit and vote for the bullshit option.

With only 52 % in favor in the last referendum and indications that people have changed their opinion, it seems to me it makes sense to go for a new referendum. It would be wrong to continue with the Brexit if people have changed their minds.

This confirms what @action was saying. I'll still look forward to the inevitable PC port which probably/hopefully will have much better controls. Thank fuck for Nintendo who makes 'videogames' for 'fun' rather than time-sink cinematic experiences which may as well be movies instead. I loved Red Dead Redemption, I wish they'd put it on PC or Switch. I also wish for GTA San Andreas and Vice City but with modern graphics. That would be fucking amazing.

IV is heavily flawed but it felt more fresh and engaging than V which was a rehashed and half-baked SA. The V map is eerily similar to SA. They just made it more true to life. Google the building comparisons. I think RDR2 needed to be the base RDR game combined with a Mass Effect/Fallout style dialogue tree to be successful. This way you could develop relationships and have a meta game that didn't focus on killing. But they focused on a half-baked camp mechanic and semi-deep hunting instead. Waste of money. Doesn't fit the game. If they wanted to make a Red Dead Survival game. They should've that would've been cool. Rockstar is constantly at odds with themselves. I'm really not excited for GTA VI if they stay the course of dog shit AI and minimal changes to gameplay. I'm bored with them.

ok guys, to clear up the widespread confusion at least a little bit, the time has come for me to share my - still provisional - table. using all available sources I could find, I tried to collect as much information about GNR (including Rapidfire and Hollywood Rose) studio sessions and recorded tracks, as possible. 80's era is not perfect, but pretty well done. 90's era is a mess, I've only been able to find little relevant info. and of course Chinese Democracy era is a total mess, so I just sorted the known releases and leaks into a chronological order. MASSIVE credits to everyone who helped me putting this sheet together! any informations is always subject to change. YOUR OPINIONS ARE WELCOME!
