My buddy interviewed Slash earlier today. During the interview Slash confirms that a new GNR record is in the works. He also comments on the rumors that he was at Axl's house recently. Take a listen and discuss https://wrif.com/episodes/talkin-rock-with-slash/

One day the band won’t be around anymore and people will say “Damn, I wish I could see Guns live again.” Until then, I’m going to enjoy what’s given to me and whatever comes with it. See you in Charlotte and Vegas.

Clearly you guys aren't fans of the band or understand the bands or Axl's history. Axl has been doing pre show preparation for decades including physical exercise, stretching and having work done on his back. There are a number of articles that mention his pre show practices. Instead of knocking the guy down, maybe read and understand why he does preparation. One would think after decades of doing the same thing, as a 55 year old he might of given it away by now. The fact he is still doing it means it's for a reason. Might not be to your liking or reasons, but you aren't the ones up on stage for 3 hours plus. If you were able to see the man from close up, front of stage, then you would have been able to see the sweat pouring off his forarms and teeshirt. You would need to have physical stamina, fitness and a healthy body to continue being physically active for long periods of time.

Just want to clarify something- I saw someone made a post saying I have strong connections to the band so I want to clarify that I actually do not have any connection to the band at all. This news is true and I do know that for a fact but it's because of others who do have connections with the band that I was able to confirm it. Might seem like a small point, but it's important to me. I don't ever want to give the impression that I'm more connected than others or any sort of "insider"

Axl: Beta, get Fernando on the blower Beta: Why Mr Axl? Axl: Slash keeps talking about recording new music. Beta: What do you want us to do Mr Axl? Axl: Get some fucking tour dates announced pronto. I can't be having this new music talk every time he gets a little down time. Beta: Right away, Mr Axl. Axl: Who knew Alter Bridge would be the bain of my fucking life? Beta: I'm so sorry Mr Axl

Thanks for finding it and sending it, @MillionsOfSpiders ---------------- [...] [On the Motley Crue biopic and the possibility of a Guns N’ Roses movie]: Slash: I thought the Motley movie was great. Actually, I just saw it a couple of days ago, and it really took me back to the early days in the 80's all the way through their career, because I just remember everything that sort of happened along the way. And then it gave me an insight, sort of internal details that I wasn’t really aware of. But I thought that came out great. I wouldn’t want to do a Guns movie like that. I couldn’t imagine trying to find somebody to play the different members of the band (laughs). It just doesn’t even seem possible. But I think we have a lot of concert footage from the 90's in the can, like 24/7 footage from 1991 to 1994 of just every day on the road with Guns N’ Roses, and it’s been sitting in a vault for years. I would love for that to be edited at one point and put out. So we’ll see if that ever happens. [On “Leaving Neverland” and the new Michael Jackson controversy]: Slash: I can’t weigh in on that. I haven’t seen it. I mean, I was on the road in Europe and there was some talk of what the movie revealed and so on, but I can’t really make any kind of statement about it, because I haven’t seen it yet. And it’s been really quiet since that initial release, so I’m not really sure. [On the plans for the rest of 2019]: Slash: After South America, we'll go straight to Europe and do the festivals over there. And after Europe, we'll go back to the States and Canada to do our first Canadian tour plus some U.S. dates; and that goes until August. Then, after that, I’m gonna hook up with Guns N’ Roses. Guns N’ Roses has a small tour in October. And then, you know, there’s been so much talk about the Guns N’ Roses record, which we haven’t actually done anything with (laughs); so we’re gonna sort of focus on that. And the Conspirators will be some time coming up, depending on what Guns N’ Roses is doing, but I’ve already started putting together material for the new Conspirators record. -------------- I have transcribed all the interview here: http://www.a-4-d.com/t3818-2019-04-05-futuro-88-9-fm-chile-interview-with-slash#14101 Original source: https://www.futuro.cl/2019/04/slash-no-me-gustaria-ver-una-pelicula-de-guns-n-roses-como-la-de-motley-crue/

I was round at a friend's house the other day and she said hey look at this, and showed me a mint condition box set - the first one I've ever seen, so I was going nuts saying "whose is it?" She said it's her housemate's, so I went to speak to him all excited, saying "hey wow you own a box set" and he just goes "yeah I designed it", all matter of factly. He works for Universal. I only had a few minutes to ask him about it, but here's what he told me: during the design process, there was a lot of discussion and dispute between the band and the record company about what should go into it. The band were less keen on having all the gimmicks go in, the merchandise etc, but were insistent on including as much music as possible including the rare demos. The dispute about what should go in went on for so long that eventually the record company just put their foot down and said well we've run out of time so this is what's going in. What struck me was that he wasn't a fan as such, just some designer dude who got the job. I asked him about the non inclusion of OIAM but he'd never even heard of the song, so knew nothing about that aspect. He said he was gonna sell his on eBay lol.

I'll start with two: 1) I prefer Don't Cry (Alt Lyrics) over Don't Cry. 2) I think Chinese Democracy is some of Axl's best work.

Are you serious? Do you think for a Broadway actor who does the same show every night it isn't a lot of work too? For any band to go out and put on a show, let alone a 3 hour show it is a lot of work. Give credit where credit is due.

How can nerds be worried about the new Terminator being a "feminist" movie when the whole series is built on the shoulders of a strong female character that is the main character in 3 movies and a TV series and even in the movies that she isn't in, her presence and values are still integral to the plot and story? OH NO THIS SERIES ABOUT A STRONG WOMAN HAS STRONG WOMEN IN THE NEW VERSION. Lmao. Fucking goofs.

People want this absurd mash up of an album with 20 different musicians. Isn't one of the main gripes of CD was that it was so in-cohesive just for that reason?

For people like you, who seem determined to dislike anything the current line up might put out, yes the writting will have been on the wall. The rest of us with open minds will wait until we hear any of the material before passing judgement.

"turn around bitch I got a use for you" is as sexist a lyric as I ever heard, but I have no problem with that. it was meant to provoke and to have a laugh, not being taken literally and that's how I hear them. But this twisting and turning and "it was misunderstood" nonsense is token of the PC culture we live in today. In the light of this, I don't think Duff is best placed to write a song dedicated to the metoo movement. it's dishonest, cringeworthy and reeking of hypocrisy. Just be a man and stand by what you say, don't go twisting your own words in order to please some SJW's. You meant nothing wrong with that line, so don't go acting as if you did anything wrong.

I dont get some of you so called fans. Most of us fans support the dying breed of Rock N Roll music. Today its all EDM music and festivals built to attract social media influences to take a snap of themselves at a festival because its cool and hip. When the major headline from Coachella is Ariana Grande having a lemon thrown at her by a Beyoncé fan because of an issue they have, you know the music industry is in trouble. Any chance offered to embrace and support Rock N Roll, with our favourite band appearing is a good thing in my eyes.

I don't understand why so many people get upset over GnR doing a show? Because it has grown old or boring? Realistically what could you possibly be doing on a Saturday night in September that is better than seeing Guns n Fucking Roses live. Have a drink at the show and have fun. That's what life is about, enjoying it and having fun. If a GnR show isn't enough for you than go do something else with your time and stop complaining Axl, Slash and Duff all said new music is coming and i have no reason not to believe them. I just hope there is a tour date closer to me.

It was cringey when NuGuns did it, and it was just as bad when they did it in 2016. I thought it brought some of the 'Vegas tackiness' from the residency shows to the 2016 shows. It's cheesy as hell to see strippers behind some 50+ year olds on a nostalgia tour. That's the kinda shit I'd expect from Motley Crue

I was front row and it was surreal as he literally climbed on top of me at the end when he semi crowd surfed. Here's my recording of dust n Bones and I have a couple others under my channel there. I started recording another song (honestly forget what it was now) and was pissed because it got cut off accidentally 3/4 through. Here he is in the crowd with me. If you skip to photo 4 or 5 there's a close up of his face and that's when he was literally climbing over top of me and my reaction was to take photos because why not. I think he was basically using me as support and when he was finished I helped kind of guide him back over the rail, but it all happened really quickly and it'd be funny to watch a video of it if someone uploads the song later. I've been up since 4am yesterday, so... exhausted and going to bed, but it was a killer show and I was so impressed with Shooter. The girl on violin was SO GOOD.

I know this is the era of fake news and all, but tbh I find your reactions pretty poor. I know you're not an official news outlet and I don't know what was accurate in that video and what wasn't, but I think you could address the alleged inaccuracies instead of name calling, no? Your reaction is similar to the reaction of so called Axl nutters when people complain about Axl's voice: 'Then sing it yourself if you think you can do better.' That's just nonsense.

Hey everyone, I just read in the paper here in NY this morning that at The Tribeca Film Festival this month there's going to be the premiere of a new Shannon Hoon documentery that is composed completely of the "home videos" he shot of himself throughout his career going right up till the day he died. It says there are no interviews or voiceovers from anyone else, just completely Shannon speaking in his own words and shooting the footage. I'm a big Blind Melon fan too so it sounds really interesting. For those who aren't it mentions that there is also footage of him backstage in Los Angeles hanging out with Axl and Slash in the movie. Don't know if that's the only footage with Guns but thought I'd spread the news because it will definitely be footage no one has seen before. Lets all hope it's not just a six second snippet !
