So today's the day. I'm certain the set list will be the same but I'm glad to have the guys back in action.

I really hope someone in the front row tomorrow holds up a giant sign that says this.

Of course its a GNR song. The current members of GNR at the time recorded it. Being stuck in the past doesn't change that.

Till further notice- State of Grace is still the champion of leakfest 2019. Can any other song take out the champ?!

These leaks are a pain. i drive an old car with no Bluetooth or fancy stereo so I keep burning cds to listen to, then another leak comes and i have to re-do my mix again. I'm up to like cd 5 now

Just because it's different? Sure, it sounds nothing like GNR, but that's the best thing about the band - it was always evolving. If i want to listen to same-old rock, i would go for AC/DC or even Slash's solo stuff. Axl was always pushing for a new sound, and if these leaks are anything to go by, he could certainly write bangers for the time period.

I cannot quite tell if you're enthusiastic or suicidal.

I honestly hope it's Locomotive. I think her and Axl sharing lead vocals on that song would sound fucking killer. Axl could do the low voice and the nasally mid voice, while Melissa does the high vocals. They sound really good when they harmonize like that (CD, Sorry, Madagascar...)

I am still holding out hope for The Blues. I really, really want to hear this lineup go for it. Honestly, I'm just excited to see the guys back at it, especially Axl. I hope they kill it. Hoping there will be a stream of some kind! Definitely want to watch it if at all possible.

Down On The Farm is something I’d like to see this lineup give a try. Axl could still nail this one.

Considering Axl was allegedly extremely unhappy with his material being leaked, I can’t fathom why anyone would rationally think the band has even a small chance of playing Atlas or Hardschool. That would be nothing but exposure for the leaked material and you would have news outlets picking it up, and more fans would be searching for the links. It’s definitely not going to happen.

Excuse my lack of knowledge but I always wondered if this picture is real or faked?! You see, I got zero trust in Axl’s fashion style 😄

QFT I cannot believe songs like Quicksong, Zodiac, Hard School, State of Grace, and Perhaps were shelved for 20 years. What. The. Fuck.

He's so angry at Slash in this two songs that he evidently cannot even put it in words.

Exists as in he took her out of the box and blew her up.

Hope they play Sweet Child O Mine!!!! Fingers crossed!!!!!!

Its so funny when you guys refer to Locomotive all these years. They will never do that. Axl could never sing that one live. Not now not even in '91. U kidding me?

Seen this movie so many times now I know how it’s gonna play out It’s gonna be the same set list - maybe a new cover song or an AFD/UYI deep cut at most. And Axl will sound rusty as hell and Mickey it through the show - and everyone will be taking potshots saying he didn't rehearse and/or is finished - as is always the case on the first show of a new leg

Can't deny that I'm a little excited. Will be following tonight's show here in the forum. To all those going, have a good evening! I hope we get new songs and a good-sounding Axl

Because as GN'R lost popularity in 1993/1994, and became passé and a bit ridiculous in people's opinion, and a different style of bands taking over (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails), Axl saw the need to evolve the sound of GN'R to make the band relevant and popular again. He didn't want to stagnate, he wanted to show that GN'R could survive and still be at the forefront of what was cool and good (like they had been with Appetite). Slash, on the other hand, had no interest in evolving the sound to stay trendy, instead he wanted to move backwards to what he had preferred which was the sound of 'Appetite'. Axl thus tried to pair Slash with other musicians (Zakk Wylde, Paul Huge), hoping that it would click, and also discussed getting Dave Navarro in and doing something with Trent Reznor in an effort to find a mix of what Slash wanted and what Axl thought the band needed. The deadlock between Slash and Axl wasn't resolved and eventually Slash quit, freeing Axl to move in the direction he wanted in an effort to make GN'R cool again, which he unfortunately failed at since he wasnt able to release CD while it had a chance of being avant garde, instead it became a joke.

The biggest thing I noticed is how much happier Axl appears since the reunion. We can knock it all we want, in terms of setlists and endless legs but it is nice to see the man not look 100% pissed off all the time

Zodiac is about Slash..... Quick song is about Smells Like Teen Spirit which in turn is about Slash
  36. 3 points
Anybody else noticing a very Slither-like riff in Quick Song?...especially the ending riff....it needs another note and its almost the same riff
  37. 3 points
I hope this track was included on the cd’s Axl ran over with his Ferrari.
  38. 3 points
Supposedly so cause on one disc it specifically states “zodiac w/out vocals,” thus implying that a version WITH vocals is in the mix there, somewhere...
  39. 3 points
It’s unreal. These songs are ace. Love Axl but man what a madman.
  40. 3 points
I really wish these songs are part of the McDaddy trilogy and all contains some lyrics related to that.

Zodiac with vocals has the potential to be one of the best songs from this era, and I say with CD being one of my all time favourite albums. LOVE the new Atlas mix, really improves that song in my opinion.
  42. 3 points
I’m kinda bummed so many people hate this song. I think it’s actually really awesome. Unconventional and maybe not GNR but really great vocals and a cool experiment.
  43. 3 points
Ok which one of these leaker fucks has Quicksong with Axl on vocals. We need this now

Son of a bitch. Quick Song and Zodiac are now two of my favorite GNR songs ever and Axl isn't even on them!

Anyone else hears Smell Like Teen Spirit riff on Quick Song?

I have some weird smell like teen spirit feeling on quicksong

Can we get some appreciation for Axl's scream at 2:25? I reckon it's one of his best screams to date. People were upping his scream on SoG, but this is great too.

This was definitely not a show for the fans. Starting price at $175 plus fees, plus the price you have to pay to be a Nightrain member to begin with - and the next price tier being 400 and over? That is just inssaaaane
