They might as well just delete their own YouTube channel at this point. They keep up those garbage Vegas performances but get their knickers twisted over a video where Axl sounds good and has all the appropriate sources credited? Pathetic.

Slash has been posting pictures of Axl again on his insta. They must be busy recording something.

Since the mood isn't so happy thanks to this superaids virus and the Not In This Lifetime album I'd like to introduce Catrick Swayze. He was a gift from my mom in a period where I was isolating myself and was suffering from depression. He helped me a great deal.

According to Fernando the album is releasing today! Who's excited? Maybe we should open a new thread for discussions on it. I'm personally getting the special edition that includes the new wristband and iPhone headphone jack dongle!

I'm going to TRY to leave the embedded video up for this seeing as it says several times throughout the video that the footage is provided by Live Nation. Hopefully the video stays up and no one messes with our site for no good reason Having said that.... What a day that was!! @Powerage5and I cracked our first beers by 9am! We held an all day pre party with a lot of my local friends coming by as well as many forum members. I remember @ZoSoRose @Wagszilla @downzy and many others stopping by. One of the coolest things was the "Izzy heads" that @KURT19 brought with him. I still have a few of those! Haha. In any case, we had such an awesome day long party that all lead up to a fantastic GNR show. What a great time 2016 was!

I've mentioned it before, but it's big thanks to people like Frans, Gibbo, and the many others, and their vault of bootlegs that they graciously posted on their YouTube accounts, that was a huge part in making me such a massive, crazy, obsessed, passionate, diehard (the list goes on, lol) GN'R fan. My favorite band ever (yes, even still in 2020). I know I'm not the only one. I'm a bit on the younger side of the fanbase; I wasn't even alive to experience their prime, and it's not like I had access to tapes to learn about GN'R. A large part of it came from the community who shared what they had on a social medium (e.g. YouTube). I poured over that mass of material that was on YouTube like nobody's business. That was apart of my GN'R curriculum. Don't get me wrong, there's still a decent amount of footage on there, but as we all know, nowhere like it used to be. Just saddens me because as @vloorsmentioned, if they want to accrue new fans, this isn't the way to do it. I know someone posted another link to this footage, I hope that doesn't get taken down. Edit: Didn't mean to go on a tangent, haha. Just upsetting.

A reliable (insider) source told me that Axl is trying to figure out how to release an album.

My old turntable finally crapped out, so I picked up an old JVC AL-F3 for a decent price today. So far I've spun Dirty Honey's debut EP, and Slave To The Grind. Sounds good.

I think Doc Antle was the worst. He's running some kind of sex cult with the addition of wild animals. There's a whole separate show right there. It reminded me of the other Netflix documentary series Wild Wild Country.

Side note, that Stockholm show was the first GNR bootleg I ever heard. Loved it!

No pubs; no cricket; nothing on shelves because of panic buying; stuck in a house; people walking outside with faces like smacked arses for their ''60 minutes''; ambulance and police sirens; police confiscating easter eggs; scientific twaddle on news. No disease is worth this!

Axl told the source that he is trying to figure out how he could make the most profit, without putting too much time and effort in it. It comes down to a few business decisions that they will have to make, which may take a few years (probably around 3 tot 25 years).

I literally just watched it lmfao wooooow. Wtf. So insane. Funny but sad. A bunch of pretty terrible people. Carol is a psycho bitch I am 100% certain she killed her husband. I pictured you and Russ imagining me as like Joe with his ranting lol. P.S. Baby tigers are so cute and chubby.

People with literally nothing more in their lives. Not even worth discussing them really - just a few keyboard warriors who think this sort of thing makes them in someway powerful or important as no-one in the real world wants anything to do with them. Bullies and cowards essentially. They'd also rather this site closed down than exist, as people here give them the contempt they deserve. I expect they also probably spend their time creating alt-accounts to post on here as they're banned. You're dealing with the arse-end of the internet here, sadly.

I think that @Dazey would love it video.....

Yeah. It's also so funny (not) when I'm riding my bike on that pathway, which is probably 1,5 m to 2 m wide and the people who walked together can not both stand on one side, so I can pass on the far other. No, one of them stands somewhat to one side, while the other stands somewhat on the other side, so I have to pass in the middle, making it impossible to keep the suggested distance.

Ha, the day of this show is the day I joined this forum. I’d been lurking for months, but finally joined on the first night of their tour to live-chat the shows with fans. What a blast 2016 was.

Remember when they released something from the tour? Get to work Fernando, you useless prick!

This is wild. Now REM's Michael Stipe is out there releasing new music. Someone should help GNR figure out how other bands are able to do this in today's musical climate. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/michael-stipe-new-song-no-time-for-love-like-now-974822/

Joe Exotic is one of the most entertaining people I've seen in a while. His trolling of Carole Baskin was hilarious, and his music videos.... just watch these.

And the woman who got her arm ripped off by a tiger and she was just like ehhh I’ve got another one and went back to work a few days later!!
  28. 2 points
Yes me. What a totally batshit crazy saga - one minute I was laughing and the next totally creeped out .... and those songs he made Btw - I 100% think Carol fed her ex husband to the tigers

Yeah the Missus and I binged it in 2 days. Still laughing our asses off at how thoroughly Joe trolled Carol with his online antics

I'm with you. I'm inside most of the time. I take vitamin c everyday. I have been for over a year now. Not sure if this works but so far I'm good. My family is good too, but who knows? I work from home and have my daughter with me. Schools I'm sure will be closed for good very soon. WE can't send our kids to school not knowing what will happen and not with this virus still out there. I probably would do the same thing if I feel ill. Stay in and take tylenol or advil and hope for the best. I worry about my parents becasue they are in their 60's and 70's. My mom had cancer so she worries all the time. This sucks big time. Stay well. Glad your family is okay. Could be stress related. I mean who isn't stressed right now. Do you have allergies in your country? Right now in Texas is a very bad allergy season. I have had to take an allergy pill for a few days. I find using a nasal spray a few times a day helps keep the shit out of my nose. I hope you feel better soon.

A proper mix of Crash Diet with Axl would be amazing. Years ago I remember a "Qsound" version of the Illusions that came from tapes. I couldn't really hear much of a difference.

He looks really long when he's stretched out. But he's kinda small for a male cat. His whiskers are comically long And no, for some reason his eyes seem to have different colors in some pictures. I think it's the reflection of the color of my walls. His eyes are yellowish-green. And you're right, he doesn't like it when I take his picture. Or when I'm doing something on the phone while he wants to play.

I think the fact that they have even bothered to rework hardchool says that stuff is happening, when we'll hear it is another matter, especially with this band (and the corona situation obviously). As I've said before though I am no longer expecting anything to actually happen, so I'll be excited when it does.

The question is, whether they test people for covid if they have a positive results for, let's say, flu. I think it's extremely optimistic to assume that there cannot be any co-infections. If your immune system is fighting flu virus and you come into contact with another pathogen (covid for example) you're plrobably more likely to contract that one as well. Here's some results showing that: https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2020/03/covid-19-can-coexist-with-other-respiratory-viruses.html Edit: otherwise, the best way to fight covid would be to infect everyone with the common cold virus!

I'm hoping to buy Slave to the Grind one day, great album...

I woke up at 4 am just to head to my nearest record store. The line is huge! COVID or no COVID people are determined to buy this much anticipated release! Don't be ridiculous, the fact that the manager himself said we're getting a release on March, means it was all planned beforehand. I mean come on, the album has been in the making for over 10 years, surely they have worked it all out. Have some faith!

They probably relied on the fact that the youth of today would rather see old people rot to death alone in their own filth than come off Instagram for 5 minutes and visit them.

I wish they had kept the siren effect in I.R.S. for the final release. I think it fits the song nicely!

Zero cases on our island off the coast of Scotland but the panic is still very real. Shops running low on essentials like toilet paper but I've not had issues getting food fortunately. The community spirit where I live has been really uplifting, we have Facebook groups setup to make sure that everyone isolating has everything they need, and 10% of our islands population is now registered as a volunteer, including me Over 1000 volunteers within the last fortnight, and our hospital staff are being given free accommodation in B&B's close to the hospital, and all the pubs/hotels etc have given away all their food to charities when they've closed. The community response to tourists has been less enthusiastic mind. We've basically shut down the islands and told anyone who doesn't live here to fuck off because theyre not welcome anymore If you try coming to Orkney you'll be turned away at the harbour unless you can provide documentation that proves you live here. Some local videos to lift your spirits...

Damn thought there'd be actual discussion here about the single & upcoming album but I find shit talking Dizzy & a weird millennial argument? Whatever ... I for one thought their cover of Shakin' was very good & I'm looking forward to the rest of the covers! Really into this band and am anxiously awaiting the follow up to R&R Aint Easy !!!

I'm fine with the overall production on all the GN'R albums actually. I think the UYIs sound the best overall though. If anything, I would LOVE to get AFD as a completely dry mix like the version of Brownstone from the 12" single. I just think that song sounds SO much meaner without all the reverb. I can't imagine how great the rest of the album would sound that way.
  50. 1 point
I think both AFD and TSI have a different sound profile with the tracks arrangements. I'll talk more about this after the next quote, but I agree the drums are a bit loud. And I really like TSI's sound, don't get me wrong. This is true. It's supposed to sound more raw in nature, and like AFD, it's a lot more straight forward hard rock. Even more so, as it has the punk motif, including the mic leaking the chatting before and after the songs like "give me a bit of volume on this". I love how Raw Power sound so full, yet it doesn't even have that many overdubs. The ending with Slash's lead isolated in the right channel (instead of the center channel) against both Duff and Axl's vocals is perfect, the song doesn't get weaker in this moment even if the rhythm layer are just Gilby and Dizzy. I believe it's merit of the mix getting everything there at the right levels, including the drums. To have 4K/60 they had to record it in that way. If you're talking about the 90s shows, obviously they didn't. They could have some footage shot in film (instead of betacam that was used for the screens) that could have a 4K restoration, but that wouldn't be 60 fps. I wish they have 4K restoration for their other videos, though. It's So Easy looks gorgeous in 2160p in the video they released last year.
