Creative works said it wasn't Axl's handwriting but it sure looks similar.
Well then either they lied, weren't aware of it, or someone imitated him.

And they got inspired by Jennifer Rush.
Huh?

SCOM intro wasn’t a warm-up exercise
But other than it not being "a warm-up exercise", the rest is pretty much the same - i.e. Slash coming up with the riff while messing around, then Izzy adding chords and Axl following up on that. And if they weren't around, Slash wouldn't have presented the riff to the band. I wonder what was originaly said in that Slash's book (don't remember) and whether and why it differs from what he told Trunk way later.

Axl's handwriting, so that's probably how it went down.

Axl looks OLD and miserable in that picture. 😫
That's James, that's the point. But it's a bad photo.

Very different types of recording and sound, so not the best comparison...

It means you and like minded posters , who just take a massive dump on everything, it’s time to move onto foo fighters and dad rock.
or as GnR puts it. Fuck off and buy something from the “old age “ section.
good riddance
Ha, that’s rich. A guy with 10 posts comes to a forum and lectures people who already had been fans when this guy didn’t even know what music is, and who have been on the forum for decades, that they’re old and should fuck off, because they didn’t like a crappy lazy AI video from a band with a 62-year old singer that doesn’t release shit, has tons of money and all the possibilities in the world, and became predictable as hell.
Maybe you should get some reality check; and maybe it’s you who should be doing the fucking off, probably back to some Ministry forum or wherever you came from, Mr. Señor Peligro, Bush’s alter ego.
Think about it.
This thread is fun!

This thing's gonna be terribly, maybe even ridiculously obsolete in 10 years, if not sooner.

The video would be 100 times better without that God awful song.
I just can't listen to it.
It's that bad...makes me long for the days of "pussy full of maggots"
Serioisly, what the hell happened to this band?
It’s an Axl demo from a quarter of a century ago when he was apparently in a dark place, reminiscing (?) and all that. Listen to Monsters, though. That’s a great fucking song IMO.
Alas, we just can’t expect the man to suddenly break his habit of keeping the best stuff in the drawer.- 1

Unless you're their contracted photographer. In which case watch the fuck out. Cause you're in the jungle, baby.

Except that Perhaps has different vocals at the end.
I am QUITE sure there is a version of State of Grace with vocals of higher production value.
Yeah, I don't even count that.
That would be awesome (although less work for Axl once again... Is that good? Idk)

Garbage... next...
(Monsters an SOG please)
My take is Monsters + Atlas would be better. Plus, if you want State of Grace, that would mean Axl actually having to go and record something new in the studio (unless there are versions with other vocals we haven't heard). Which he surely hasn't done for the demos they've released so far.

Because I didn't expect much.

That doesn’t make sense though. They said “f’n special”, and there’s nothing special about an AI video.
For a band with such a poor release history, anything released is special, even the mostly shitty Selects.

A bunch of unreliable sources tell me that today is the release of the new LP called Appetite For Procrastination. It was recorded in 1994.
Shut up and take my money.
At least it's not AI. -
Ha, I can already hear the Youtube comments.
Good on you, Axl!
Wait, that wasn’t Axl?
Did they play Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door?
And SCOM?
Huh, what’s SCOM?- 2

I thought the agreement was it's an AI video for The General?

Ok, well it's at least based on his writing then.
I still think that was more or less how it happened, though.
