  1. - Before anyone asks, no I did not ask about new music. It would have been a waste of time and made me look like an amateur. If you hear his response to if Not in This Lifetime is over, he wouldn't have had an answer anyway. So enjoy! NEW! Dizzy F'n Reed and Alex Grossi talk Hookers & BLOW and Eddie Money | Ep. 157 Hookers & Blow, the now legendary project formed by long time Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed and Quiet Riot guitarist Alex Grossi, have announced a string of winter tour dates. Also they are debuting their brand new song, a cover of Eddie Money's Shakin. The very 1st song Hookers & Blow have ever recorded. 2. When I asked Fortus a similar question I felt some tension. Maybe I was imagining it, but it gave me pause that any simple GNR question could cause concern. Appreciate the feedback. I didn't hear back from Brain last time I followed up. I'll try again in the new year.
  3. I hear ya. Something else to understand, sometimes there are agreed upon topics/questions beforehand. It's a dance just to get an interview. Not just in the GNR world, but many of those who are interviewed are afraid to be asked a question that could be turned into a negative headline. CM Punk is a good example. No matter his response to whether he'd return to wrestling, there was always an online spin to make him look bad. Sometimes it's just best to avoid a topic, even if an answer seems to be harmless. If I ever get "big" enough, I'd love to have more freedom/edge with questions. Not like Stern, but sports-talk where criticizing a team/management/player is common practice.

  6. - Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose almost appeared on ‘Totally Pauly’ in the mid-90’s on MTV with Matt Sorum, but he rejected the offer from Pauly Shore. Shore told the story on a new Appetite for Distortion podcast episode. “We wanted to do a thing called ‘Where’s Axl’ week, where it’s basically me and Matt looking for Axl Rose. So I pitched Matt, ‘Hey Matt, let’s do a week episode called Where’s Axl, and we started looking for him and we go all these places, and we find him in his trailer, wherever he’s f**king living.’ So Matt calls Axl, and says, ‘Hey, this is what we want to do.’ Axl says, ‘F**k that, I don’t want to be involved with Pauly Shore.’ It’s hilarious, he basically shit on me. He shit on me because he was serious. I don’t know Axl, I don’t think I’ve ever met him before, but I was obviously a huge fan.”
  7. Didn't get a chance to ask that. We did talk the Stones/GNR/Living Colour show where Axl fell of the stage, Matt Sorum scoring "Pauly Shore is Dead" and the "Where's Axl?" show idea for MTV. I also played the Encino Man clip where he suggests naming the caveman Axl, but he didn't remember that haha. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/518f643a-1fbb-408a-b86c-a6f958ba1b79?fbclid=IwAR02S20O7_0aXFP4hdUCeCMKy194TWTl9ammWJQvM8LodVsBx54ghqNFSrI

I've said it on the podcast, I want to invite Beta & Fernando on to talk to the fans directly to hopefully clear things up and put on display the personalities that have put Axl in a seemingly a better place. That said I'm #TeamMargott. I've asked her to come on the pod as well, and she respectfully declined because she is just a fan and also didn't want to be subject to criticism. Sadly the latter has happened anyway.
