Interesting that Mr. B. was the one chosen to be canned for this night (first time since 93, right?). It would have been much wiser to skip TIL. In one of these gigs, he even had to sing one line lower; I don’t know why he keeps doing this to himself. I mean, who cares if TIL goes?
In any case, I’m glad they keep their word this time and still mess with the playlist, like in those early 2016 gigs. This is the way to keep things fresh and interesting.
And hats off for Reckless Life, that must be a tough fucker to do.

Reckless Life was impressive, and for the first time in forever I've enjoyed TIL. Even Slash's solo got closer to the album version (in its key notes)

Slash is ATROCIOUS on This I love…like really really REALLY bad.

Its a damn pitty cause 90’s Slash would have killed it

I hate what he does with the CD solos. I get he wants his spin on it, but just write one and stick to it instead of improvising all the time.

Love the setlist and the band's energy, can't wait to see them in Belgium in two weeks.

Great picture. It's mind-boggling to me that Axl looked very much like Axl all the way up until he resurfaced on the scene looking like a fucking alien after doing god knows what to his face. And he has never recovered since. It's so unfortunate he went down that road but he's the one that has to live with it so who am I to judge ...

I thought he looked fanstastic in 2006, never understand what happened afterwards when he resurfaced later for nuGNR tours or his current look. I understand the man is 61 and I'm not judging, I just don't understand what lead to this.

So setlists are getting shorter? Weird. Usually the opposite as the tour goes on.

Got to be a long time since they didn't play Estranged?

They have less time in a festival slot, and seemed to have removed some of the slowest / less known songs to fit Hellfest's atmosphere.

How vital would Axl's work be if he'd released an album every 2-3 years since 1993? We'll never know, because Axl simply never had it in him to create music on that level. Slash did though.

It just might be that Axl created lots of music, that just wasn’t released or even recorded.

Your arguments are a bit too skewed IMO, seems to me that you are biased and therefore not ready for a conversation.

Holy shit Axl was on fire in Paradise City . I'm gonna miss them

Same here, I really had a blast following this tour - when it started I was so bummed and scared to see Axl, the quality of his performance. But damn the man has been great after a few shows, full of energy, interacting plenty, and sang his ass off.

Yesterday's PC is just proof that he has it, he's just pacing himself to not ruin his voice. Jungle was also quite strong.

why does he should  give a shit?

99% of the people attending  do not go to see CD songs, most of the fans crying about Slash playing, are those same saying the band sounded great 2001-14 etc.  01-07 was a fucking  mess (imo)  songs didn't  sound right. ( i don't  wanna talk about Finck playing)

At the very least out of respect for the material, for the people that wrote it, and for the people enjoying the songs?

I expect the same when Axl does something like Slither.

  8. I don't mind Slash doing his thing with the solos, but I think he should write one that sounds good and has a bit of melody in it. Most of the times on CD songs it's like he has no idea what to do the second before the solo. And it's like he's never playing the same thing twice. It ruins the songs a bit IMO.

Hard Skool is not about schools goddamn it people, it's a saying exactly the same way "old school" is, that one doesn't mean literal schools either:lol:

Also you're talking about a guy who wore Charles Manson shirts frequently, not exactly the best taste either

What does hard school means? That's something like a lesson learned the hard way?

    I'm not sure :-)
