Staying focused on identity politics is why Dems lost in 2016. It wasn’t Russia. It wasn’t racism. It wasn’t white supremacy or misogyny, transphobia, or whatever buzzword of the week lefties love to throw around. Identity politics worked for a hot minute while Obama was in office but it’s kinda like nu-metal. The moment is over. Your time has passed. Evolve and come up with something different. Learn to persuade and win an argument on the merit instead of staring down your nose and shouting racism, you might as well put on your Limp Bizkit shirt so we can laugh in your face instead of behind your back.

What if the Dems lose the house in 2020? Trump isn’t losing 2020, and the Dems outrage culture is wearing thin. What happens when shouting labels loses its affect and they have to rely on arguing the point?

Omg 😂😂😂 you are literally talking out of both sides of your mouth. Cover yourself up for gods sake. Your bias is showing

A misdemeanor is a nonindictable offense but it is still a criminal offense and can come with jail time. What makes someone crossing the border in between our points of entry above the law? “AOC slaughtered him” sprinkled in with “xenophobia” and child abuse... but you’re not spewing democrat talking points 🤭 🤔🤫🙄

No sense of self-awareness? Hypocrite? A worldview with no basis in reality? Well since you’re Yoda, and you’re the one with all the logic and facts that’s going to lead us into Utopia forever more, besides holding a gun to my head because you know how I need to spend my money more than I do, just how exactly are “taxes” going to provide 327.2 million people with healthcare? Teach me the economics, oh wise one..
  6. US Politics/Elections Thread

I love that you guys compare paved roads and military to healthcare. I mean whatever you gotta do to justify it, right? 😂 But but muh roads.. 😂😂 And the same could be said to you..

So you will be using force?
  8. US Politics/Elections Thread

So you wont be using force?
  9. US Politics/Elections Thread

So your answer to fix the problem is force? Youre just going to mask your force with morality? Real nice. I can’t be treated as a person with my own values and my own rights. Coercion, manipulation, bulldoze, brainwashed. By any means necessary, says the Democrats. What happens when you depart from voluntary cooperation and move to using force? Besides staring down your nose at them and calling them names? 😂 Whenever you’re committed to using force with someone else’s money you’re commited to using force. You might have good intentions, nothing convinces me that you do. You’re just as greedy, if not more so than the people you rail against, but I promise you someone else will come along even more power hungry than you. How can you do good with other people’s money, without first taking it away from them? Democrats 🙄

Avoiding what? How many links would be sufficient enough for you showing that Americans do not find mainstream media to be credible or trustworthy? How many news programs outside the mainstream do you want me to list to show that people get news elsewhere? That was literally my argument. My argument wasn’t about Joe Rogan or his podcast or naming places I get my news from. That was what you wanted so you could create whatever the fuck this is. Edit just to add my entire point of bringing up Joe Rogan, for the third time, was to point out that I ( as in me ) would rather listen to a certain guest in a long form political discussion than listen to Fox News but you still don’t seem to get it. I wasn’t endorsing it as a place to get news.

All you’re doing is creating straw man arguments, and for no reason. It’s just tiring to read the same boring arguments from liberals about the media ...

You never specifically asked which sources had credibility outside of mainstream media. I stated that because mainstream media has lost credibility, people turn to alternative sources for political news, and gave specific guests as examples of long form political discussion. I guess my point about “credibility” and mainstream media is what I stated earlier. Mainstream media outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC all lean politically left but portray being objective. They are partisan hacks posing as objective journalists. Fox News isnt innocent either but Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh don’t hide their political leanings, they don’t hide from being a conservative. Dont spew leftist talking points and tell me you’re a centrist or bi-partisan. CNN is the mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. CNN gets absolutely trounced in the ratings by all of them. CNN is basically a channel for radical left wing activists. It gets something like 540,000 viewers. I feel sorry for anyone that watches that garbage. Just take all of their ratings and add them up. It’s not much. It quite clear Americans don’t just rely on mainstream media. As far as Joe Rogan’s credibility or anyone for that matter is however you want to view it. I wouldn’t tell you to listen to him or not listen to him. I think his views, like a lot of people, are all over the place and I’m cool with that. I can relate to that. Tell me where you’re coming from. Don’t tell me you’re objective and fair and then spew talking points right or left. People see through that easily. Like Myka over at MSNBC said, “ It’s our job to tell you what to believe.” Quite the Freudian slip there.

I’m not sure how to respond to you at this point. youre taking what I’m saying and then creating a straw man out of it and then arguing against a point I’m not even making. Ok so one at a time.. 1. I never said Hannity and Limbaugh don’t take themselves serious. I said they tell you what they are.. as in conservatives. They’re political pundits. If you ask Hannity and Limbaugh their political affiliation I’m sure they would say conservative. 2. I didn’t say political news outside of mainstream media is without a bias. I never said Joe Rogan doesn’t have a political bias. I said I would rather listen to a Joe Rogan podcast with a guest like Jimmy Dore or Jordan Peterson than listen to 7 minute segments on Hannity or Laura Ingraham. Now as far as Peterson and Dore go, I just named two random people that I’ve watched on Rogans podcast recently. I never endorsed either or attacked either, and I would say I have pretty good idea on which side of the fence Jimmy Dore and Jordan Peterson are on. I just simply stated their names. I’m willing to listen to views I don’t agree with. I’m willing to have my my mind changed. I have a hard time taking anyone seriously that tries to tell me there isn’t an overwhelming left slant in mainstream media.

The difference is Limbaugh and Hannity tell you what they are. Don Lemon, Brian Stelter tell you they’re objective and then call Trump a racist. You really can’t see the difference? as far as naming a podcast or alternative place to get news.. just pick something, there’s tons of political talk out there. For example I would rather listen to Joe Rogans podcast with a guest like Jimmy Dore or Jordan Peterson than listen to Fox News with Laura Ingraham or Sean Hannity.
  15. US Politics/Elections Thread

Well it could be whatever they want it to be. Long form podcasts, anything outside of what mainstream media gives you. I wouldn’t even have a problem with MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc etc if they just said what they are. They’re partisan hacks posing as objective journalists.
