Theres a long story to it and i sound guilty as fuck but honest, it werent my fault but basically when everyone else was doing PE me and my mate Mark were accused of robbing the changing rooms.  Thats everyones wallets, money, watches, any kind of jewellery (this one lad had bought in a 200 quid gold hard rock cafe Tel Aviv badge in and was flashing it about), few nice pairs of trainers went missing, a posh moleskin Ralph Lauren jacket.

Never were two boys more innocent though!

You didn't quite clarify what you and Mark were doing whilst the rest of the class were engaging in PE.

Also I didn't lose my arm  just realised I look like an amputee

That looks sensational for £130. ?

I read that you took the sleeves off and I think it would look amazing with a little cap sleeve added to the shoulder, using the scalloped end of the old sleeves. You can literally hand sew them to the underside of the shoulder. It's really easy and would look really delicate and reflect the scalloped detail on the hem.

But it looks great even without any sleeve at all. ?

And don't worry about a train.....they're beautiful but most of the time you're wearing the dress the train has to be bustled up so you don't trip on it and it looks quite messy and gets really filthy even for the hour and half that the train is out. ?

When i went to school a pink slip was like...the opposite of a merit mark, ten of em and you got expelled.  I had 4 before i was expelled, quite proud of that!

The only show where you can get away with knocking a woman out

Why were you expelled after only receiving 4? That doesn't sound fair to me. ?

Now heres a blessed child of God I've not seen in a while, how you doin girlie? :)

Hello again. Long time no see. ?

I'm doing great but feeling somewhat disoriented as this place looks nothing like it used to. :wow:

  5. I love this place but I find the recent influx of advertising to be really annoying. As in, REALLY annoying. :max:

I am finding, especially on my phone, that updates on threads or sections (ie, Anything Goes) take ages to load, because of the advertising, however, the ads change and load without a hitch (how fortunate ). But the actual content takes forever.

It fucking shits me when we (as supporters, whether paid or unpaid, and the life blood of this forum) are told that certain behaviour and 'pictures' will not be tolerated and as a consequence we are made to tolerate corporate JUNK. And from now on those who contribute to the lifeblood of this forum now have to second guess everything we post, whilst we are infiltrated with mindless shit. I'll personally make a point of not supporting any company that 'supports' this forum via advertising. It's not the first time I've done this. I used to work in the advertising industry and I know that these companies are appalling and can do better.

It's sad that the corporate voice speaks stronger than our individual voices. I won't leave here as a result but I won't be silenced. It's mind numbingly sad.

I suspect that this is also why the Use Your Illusion section has been deleted. :max:

  6. Redhead, he (allegedly) is being kicked out of his house and has nowhere to live yet has booked a holiday in Vegas!

What makes you think this is a holiday?

It was a one way ticket, but I am going to return it because I wanna drive through Colorado first.

    Do it.

Let go of everything you've clutched onto in the past and just go for it. See where it leads you. I bet your fucking last dollar it leads to something better than where you have been. You're not stupid, you need to see what else is out there. Once you get a taste you won't look back.

I'm not the only one who thinks this. At the very least Dazey feels the same, but probably many more posters here. He and I know this from experience. And for the record he and I both have success and happiness in our lives. We have done the same at various points in our lives. :)

Get the fuck out of where you are. Go and be free and do what you need to do. If you don't find happiness where you are, then you must go elsewhere where it is waiting for you.

  7. I was thinking of getting a tattoo this weekend.

Tattoos are not something that you're supposed to think about, just do it.

The tattoo removal industry applauds this post.

WTF? We aren't talking nail polish here! Anything that is permanently applied to your body should be meaningful and well understood. Plastic surgeons make sure that the reason a person is choosing to alter their physical state has been well considered and justified. A tattoo is no different, except the practitioner is not a qualified doctor, merely an 'artist'. No wonder the tattoo removal industry is a legit 'industry'.

  8. Redhead, he (allegedly) is being kicked out of his house and has nowhere to live yet has booked a holiday in Vegas!

Oh! Now I get it! I thought you meant a place to stay while on holiday. Admittedly I've never heard the term 'residency' used for holiday accommodation but given that this is a global forum there's always the possibility that one uses terms here that are not common in my neck of the woods.

I missed the post where Arnold said he is getting kicked out of his parents house. In light of that I think a new start for Arnold is exactly what he needs to get some perspective. I understand that generally people need to find stability in their 'home' environment before taking holidays but I don't perceive Arnold going to Vegas as a 'holiday' as much as I view it as a kick start to an independant life. Everyone has a different experience in this world and for some they need a jolt to get them moving. I myself lived at home until the age of 23, after having a very protected and fortunate upbringing. I left home and moved to another country, another culture and it was the best thing I could have done. It made me grow up, it made me take responsibility and it made me love the world and love what life had to offer. It gave me confidence that I would otherwise possibly not have found. :)

  9. You bought a ticket for a Vegas holiday yet you do not even have a place of residency? What is the logic in that? I would be too scared I was going to end up destitute, personally, enough to enjoy a holiday!

You book hotels before you book flights? Where is the logic in that? There's way more hotels in any given city than there are flights incoming from where one lives to one's destination.

I travelled around Europe for almost a year without having a single room booked and only ended up sleeping in the car for one night when we arrived in Interlaken, Switzerland at 2am and all the hotel receptions had closed at midnight. Admittedly we left Cluny in France at 5pm after spazzing out at the attitude from the accommodation we had there and just hopped in the car and drove to Switzerland. It was fine. We found a place at 7am and checked in, had a shower and went back to bed. No biggie.

I think he means a place to live.

Hmmmm, I dunno, he said 'holiday' twice in his post. Every 'holiday' I've been on has always resulted in me having to go back to where I live and back to work. :max:

  11. Time to say goodbye to the Corporate Amir Calendar 2014 that I made for a couple of my friends and my family.

Yes, every month is a slightly different pose.

    :lol::thumbsup:

    OMG! I LOOOOOVE IT!!

Amir, you're a legend. Your sense of humour is sensational!

If you need a chick to pose with you scantily clad for next years calendar, count me in.

I'm imagining a Harley or a Ferrari in the shot as well. You in a suit, me in a bikini........:P

  12. Had to wake up at 8 am to enrol in my classes, after only sleeping for an hour. Now I'm up and showered and grumpy as fuck because my classes suck and I'm exhausted.

Coffee is the solution. It makes everything suck just a bit less.

Wine does that too but coffee takes care of the 6am-4pm part of the day, wine takes care of 4pm onwards.

Cheer up buddy, your classes won't last forever and there will be plenty of good times ahead. :)

  13. Man, any group who are historically the most powerful are going to struggle to make concessions for the sake of equality, how many times have you heard the bullshit phrase "I just feel like it's not okay to be a straight, white, protestant male anymore..." or similar depending on the country you're in? These people are being made to confront a fraction of the discrimination that has been perpetrated in their name against minorities throughout history and they feel so fucking entitled that they throw the toys out of the pram when they are perceived to be disadvantaged even a little bit.

That doesn't mean I believe in "positive discrimination", not choosing someone for a job because they are a straight, white, protestant male is every bit as bad as not choosing someone who isn't; true equality should mean the best candidate for the job gets it regardless of what the fuck they are, physically, culturally, spiritually etc. It's a difficult line to tread tbh.

I agree with your first paragraph and it's essentially what I wanted to post. I disagree with the second part though. Power structures have a strong inertia to them, be it forced by the group in power or occurring by default and you need positive discrimination for some time to counteract that. If a position is seen as unattainable no effort will be made to attain it and it actually becomes unattainable then. If, for example, women think it's impossible to be a high ranking executive for a company they will make no effort to become one because it's not worth it; boardrooms, CEOs etc will take in the statistical anomaly of strangely few women being qualified to be executives and it becomes an entrenched rule: women can't be executives. The situation is self-perpetuating. So you can trust the companies themselves to make the experiment: ok, let's try some women too, who knows maybe this massive potential workforce can yield us some good hiring opportunities but who's going to go against the sure thing and make a bet? Not many. It doesn't even have to a malicious thing, it's just rational discrimination. The only way to counteract that is by outside intervention, namely rules, regulations, laws.

I'm not sure regulation would be necessary, though. The "thinking it's impossible so not bothering" does dissuade the majority, yes, but like you said there are a few who take on the challenge and succeed. My thinking is that as that small number of women increases, less women will see executive positions unattainable.

I agree with that completely, but I also think there is a fundamental aspect at play here, a physiological aspect of femininity.....women are generally not very aggressive. Some can be but the majority are not fundamentally aggressive, whether it be a mental or physical attitude. It's neither right nor wrong, it's just a reality of what most females are: nurturing, caring, organisational. And the unfortunate reality is that most high end corporate environments are aggressive and require an ability to continually sustain a degree of aggressiveness to maintain power. Men are fundamentally more suited to those environments.

  14. Well what another unremarkable year 2014 was. I can't wait to conclude it with another binge drinking session followed by self loathing.

Yeah man, I hear you on that. It's been a shit year and more than likely next will as well. Oh well, it is what it is.

Cheer up guys. At least your still on this side of the dirt and you have a chance to try and make next year a better one. Your still more fortunate than some.

This and.. also I think the whole concept of sequencing your life into this or that year, month, day, hour or whatever.. The change of a year is nothing but another number on papers and digital displays, it's not different from this second to the last. Life can change into whatever direction whenever. I do wish happy new year to people but then again it's not as if I thought the remaining time of the current year doesn't matter just as much. That way of sequencing your life to 365 days can even be harmful if you keep on thinking "oh x and y were really shit, maybe z will be too". Well the past is past and it's gone, it's the things that are happening and coming up that matter.

I also why I find new year's resolutions kinda stupid.. I mean if you really want something why the heck not do it when you feel you wanna do it instead of marking the shit to the calendar? Wanna eat healthier? Well, concentrate on the next time you go to the supermarket.. Having that said if it really motivates one for whatever good then go for it :shrugs:.

Also when people "fail" whatever they made up for resolutions they tend to give up and wait until the end of the fucking year.. that must be the most anti-progressive mindset known to man.

I couldn't agree more. I've never understood New Years resolutions and I always shake my head when people say they 'failed' to keep them. The absolute truth is that they haven't 'failed' at anything. They really just need to find a realistic approach to changing their life for the better if it's really important for them to do so. One of the best things they can actually do for themselves IMO is not be so harsh on oneself. This constant expectation that we need to strive for perfection (whatever the interpretation of that is) is setting people up constantly for misery and unhappiness. We all have flaws. We all have good times, we all have bad times. You're not really living if you don't accept the fact that things will sometimes be crap and sometimes they'll be good. It's how you weather the crap times that signifies your ability to be 'happy'.

  15. Up until 40 years ago, men had their place, and women had theirs....it worked for thousands of years... Why change now?

Because 40 years ago most men and women were generally happy with this:

    2iw1tli.jpg

    And now they want this:

    2ijtcuw.jpg

And most of them want this as well. Actually, make that two of these....one car per household will never do these days:

    vr79c4.jpg

  16. If I understand this right, men are upset because women have had it too good and as a result men have been emasculated. They want their rights back and women should return to "their place" as nature dictates. This is primarily cooking and cleaning and having babies. Feminism is the cancer that goes against nature.

If this is true, then they should also be happy to accept the current ratio of household debt as 100% their own. This graph shows the increasing rate of debt in relation to income. Increasing property rates are largely responsible......but hey, if they want to take that on entirely themselves in exchange for women shutting their traps and cooking, cleaning and popping out offspring......let's see how they cope with that.

  17. No, just tired of you blaming us for you're supposed lack of independence yet expecting us to fucking buy everything.

I buy everything I want with my own fucking money and my other half learnt long ago that if he wants to raise his eyebrows at yet another pairs of shoes arriving in the mail then he can happily take on the payment of the gas, the electricity, the communications, the rates, the fuel, the groceries, the Christmas presents, the birthday presents, the insurance policies, the vet bills, the home maintenance bills.......singlehandedly.
