  1. Turns out both guesses in this topic missed the mark! (heh) Today this animated video was released, indicating who plays when: Slash plays from 4:57 to 5:07. This video has a sligthly longer intro and overall length, but I think the timestamps from the original that were mentioned here (8:10 and 7:32) correspond to Joe Luis Walker and Tommy Iommi, respectively.
  2. Neither is Axl, for that matter. Could be one of the recently AI-cleaned up recordings of John Lennon
  3. There's citar on The General, on the 4 notes before Slash's wah-wah lick
  4. I'm gonna take a guess as why it is a two-parter: Against all odds, I think the band (and TB) was trying to be nice to hard-core fans. This whole time they had "the General" and "Monsters" (which I'm inclined to agree it fits the description of Soul Monster - better than Me & My Elvis) as two separate working pieces. They also probably know that we all thought the cellphone leak was The General because it has orchestration in the background. Going back to the concert intro, I really don't find the chord progression on Monsters/phone clip, but just the General. They might have predicted our reaction if they had just released The General - where are those awesome high piercing vocals we can hear on the cell phone clip??? Why they scrapped the best part???? So to merge both pieces as "The general and monsters" was their way of getting out at once all music that we previously thought was only "the general".
  5. Not a fan as well, but I just noticed how the ascending first half of this solo matches that Hard Skool part just before the last repetition of the chorus
  6. Not sure if it has already come up before, but in the end, that apple music link that was picked up by google was the real one, wasn't it? https://music.apple.com/br/album/perhaps/1700790745?i=1700790746
  7. make it an exclusive, tying in with their brand new line of GnFnR lifts
  8. I think it's Axl doing ooooh hoooohs with a heavily processed voice
  9. I think the radio and the TouchTunes version is slightly sped up comparing to spotify/youtube Also think I hear slash going for the solo in a descending motion just before the end of the chorus. Then, there's the high note, and back to slash on a low note. It blends in nicely. And (that's the farthest reach) I think I hear the "save me"s really buried beneath the first lines of the chorus.
  10. A lot of recent uploads (as in the last couple of months) of the village sessions seems to be gone from youtube as well.
  11. Not saying that the apple link is true, but it comes up as an "official" suggestion when I google "guns n roses perhaps". Clicking on it gets me a page not found error though
