Bumble was probably the best thing about the 2011-2014 band. Through this posts and interviews it was obvious the guy loved us fans, trying to give us info. He openly told us multiple times how badly he wanted to release new music but couldn't. Guy brought back Estranged and Civil War for us. He truly had passion and could've made a new album great, and Axl was lucky to have him. He was single handled the most talented player in the 09-14 band and from 11-14 put the most passion and work in his performance.
Another legendary artist Axl pushed away due to pure incompetence. It's like this man sets himself up for failure sometimes.
He truly is all about the fans. I was looking at my followers on twitter earlier and noticed he was following me. I was very surprised. I always liked him, but it made me really respect that he actually knows he needs the fans. He comes off as a little strange sometimes, but he seems to really be a good guy just trying to make it.

haven't listened since Chaos AD. Might check it out.

They were my heroes before this but it was in cement after they released this video. Plus, I loved the movie. This song still blows my fucking mind when I hear it today.

Just saw Guitar World posted this on the 15th. Thought I would post it since news has been a little slow lately. Most of us have probably seen most of theses 100 times. Some are still funny no matter how many times you see them.

Weren't those Skyline tees online only?
Yes, and some of them are still there on the website. I ordered mine the day of the show in Nashville after looking and not wanting anything at the different merchandise places. Got the the terrible shirt about 3 months later lol

you gotta be brutally honest though - that's a SHITTY quality print for an official shirt
Not as bad as the terrible quality of the skyline city tees!
Those were really shit quality. Especially when you consider that I paid almost $60.

His inability to release new songs prevent him to be that legendary.
Some wrote timeless and flawless songs throughout their whole careers. Axl's entire body of work is tainted by the fact he released only fifteen songs the past twenty-five years such as Scraped and Riad N' The Bedouins.Quick reminder:
I would agree, but I love almost every thing he has been on, including Sebastian's album. I almost feel like no matter how many times he changes his sound or people hired by him I fucking love it.

So basically Steven had same interview like one before this? Lame.
Yes, a lot of it was the same

Can i listen to that interview somewhere?
If you get the Siriusxm app on your phone you can listen to the interview on demand just search for trunk nation. Click on it and it should give you a list. Just create an account, it is free for 30 days. After that they will just send you emails with discounts for plans.

What? Why does this make Axl an asshole?
The more I thought about what I said, and the more I listened to Steven talk, I almost understand why Axl would not want to spend more time talking to him. Steven is really funny, almost like a child, but could become very annoying. I think there is more to their story that we have no idea about. I just found it shitty of Axl not to show him a little bit more respect as a person.
It was cool of them to include him, but he should have played all the Appetite songs like he was originally going to do. I just feel like the "big 3" fucked him. Like I said though, this is just his side of the story. The truth usually is some where in the middle.

He said he saw Axl for about 10 seconds the whole time and didn't even get to sit down to talk with him. He got a fist bump and gave Axl a hug. Only saw him enough to tell Axl he loved him and thank him for letting him play.
Are you kidding me? What a fucking asshole! Like I said all along, Axl really hates Steven. Doesn't seem like it will ever change.

I will be listening for sure. For people who don't have siriusxm you can get a 30 day trial for free. Just download the app to your phone if you really want to hear it.

Hope it is better than that beer. I even tried drinking the beer, after I had a buzz and it was still sick.

Yep, I just put my two pit tickets for St. Louis up on StubHub....I'm not giving this any more money.
I sold mine a few weeks ago. This really shows what everyone already knows, Axl is the man in control. I just want to see the original 5 and I don't like how Izzy and Steven have been treated. At least splitting up songs would be better.

If you look at their books, both of them never wanted to upset Axl, so it is no surprise. Like Steven said a million times, "It is what it is". Hopefully we get a full AFD 5 but if not, I got to see Slash and Axl playing side by side and a shitload of pics so I am okay with it.

I agree. Nothing less rock n roll than NDA agreements and shit. I now believe it is 100% Axl calling the shots and Slash and Duff saying "fuck it" to avoid any potential drama.
They didnt avoid interviews and press because its "rock n roll" and because they didnt want the distraction, they did it because Axl doesnt want it.
Steven isnt perfect. He is a fuck up who says a lot of shit, but his heart is big and in the right place. He arguably has more passion towards GNR and AfD than anyone else im the band. He was mistreated last year and hurt. Axl, Slash, and even Duff said shit over the years but all get a free pass. Why shouldn't Steven? He should have been given a chance.
Sadly, they blew their load. NITL IS the big reunion tour. They could get Steven and Izzy back and it wouldnt garner the attraction thia tour did. They missed their chance to do it right.
Every thing you have said in this thread has been spot on. I couldn't agree more. This is becoming more and more disappointing. I love this band and the music but the drama just gets old.

i don't think Stephen has that filter....
Or cares because it looks like it is over. He got the closure, unless the original 5 get together.

Seemed like they had everything well planned before the back injury. Whatever happened between that and the Troub that made those three change their minds?
I doubt Steven was in it for the money so I don't think money was the issue there.
He said that they really didn't pay him much and that he did it for himself and the fans. Pretty much he did it for closure. He really does sound like he is happier. I think he secretly does still want to punch Axl though lol.

Don't get me wrong, I like Steven, but he seriously needs to think about what he says before it starts flying out of his mouth...
He really does. Some of the stuff he was saying I was just shaking my head.

Pretty sure it always boils down to Axl. I hate it because I really like both of them. I just think they never really got along. In every one of the GNR books it is obvious.

I felt exactly like this when he talked about the back injury and the-Axl-'wtf-is-he-doing-here?'-one-song-only in Argentina Seriously, trinityTM, what.the.fuck?
Me too! I wish I could have just have seen them in their prime when they were all together with no bullshit. It is obvious they do not want him in the band....at all lol. At least I got to see him in Nashville with the band for his 2nd show on the tour. It just does not look like all 5 of them will ever get on the same page. It is kind of sad but like he said, it is what it is.

I am listening to the full audio now and I love it. He is definitely finished with them. That's the reason he is doing this interview lol. At least he got his closure though.

A Year Later - Where Do You Stand with GN'R?

Around the time of the rumors of the Troubadour, was probably the most excited as a fan I have ever been. I really enjoyed all the periscope videos. Watched almost all of the NA 2016 dates. The hype has slowly died over the year though.
I finally got to see Slash, Duff, and Axl together though. Which I thought would never be possible and I got some great pics too.
I am still obsessed but just not as much as I was when the tour was announced. I would really like a bluray release or new music, but if not, I was still happy.
