  1. GNR Women's Discussion - Part 2

My mom listened to Toto when I was a kid so I just kind of fell into it. I had to be somewhere between 6 and 8 at the time it came out so it became one of those songs I would roller skate to.....that and double Dutch bus, but that’s a song for a different day LOL

OMG.....that song just takes me back. I remember that between Africa and Hold The Line I couldn’t make up my mind which I liked better. @killuridols the reason it’s a millennial hit is because some young pop group just remade it LOL

Maybe he’s around just not being photographed? Or maybe he has constant contact via Skype or FaceTime?
  4. GNR Women's Discussion - Part 2

I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. Having to actually work to be successful will make them appreciate it so much more in the end.

It’s not that we’re not giving her credit, but you don’t ever put your children in the middle of adult business in any way shape or form.

Here is one time that I totally agree with you. Society has had a double standard in this regard since the beginning of time, and I think it’s quite unfair. Men can fuck as many women or act as outrageously as they want and it’s seen as them just being men. If a woman does the same thing she’s the whore of Babylon, a slut or a tramp. Hell, I say what’s good for the goose is good for gander.

That cake Perla had made was really in bad taste. There are just some things you don’t show your kids and that level of negativity toward the other parent is one of them. I know it was meant to be funny but she could have been a bit more tactful.

I hear you, but would you jump ship if your favorite sports team lost a game or two? But I understand your thought process.
  9. GNR Women's Discussion - Part 2

    Lol.....you’d be surprised

Johnny Carson once said “If you ever want to commit a murder and get away with it, go to Decatur, Illinois.” He was implying that the cornfields would help hide the body.

I’m from Illinois and I am a bit reclusive in my own right. People from Indiana are usually pretty outspoken but tend to keep to themselves, so some tend to retreat into their heads more than others.

    Well said
  13. GNR Women's Discussion - Part 2

Yes my dear, we midwesterners are notoriously reclusive with all those cornfields to hide in LOL

The band destroyed itself by way of the members not taking care of their individual afflictions. Not a one of them is innocent in that respect. Sure Axl was an asshole and did some pretty shitty things....sometimes for the right reasons, but the rest of the guys did shitty things too and the press didn’t ride them as hard. Do I think Axl is a saint? Hell no.....but I do think that the media... what was that phrase you used, blindly hates him so much that they can’t put his past behind them, and apparently neither can his fans. Now that I’m done playing devils advocate, I understand completely where you are coming from and agree with your assessment to an extent.

    Sure thing.
