  1. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I never appreciated Billy as much until I saw them. He was just a couple feet away from me and his playing was so impressive. The spot I was at gave me a great view of him and Portnoy (my favorite drummer of all time).
  2. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I saw them last night and was one person away from the stage. Absolutely fantastic show with all the crowd interaction and someone getting kicked offstage.
  3. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

Not a surprise it was a Rush reference
  4. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I’m seeing the band when they go to Boston on (I believe) the 15th
  5. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

Wither to Black has a line that I believe says “modern day warrior” and considering the band members are all fans of Rush and Portnoy was aware of Peart’s illness it’s not a big jump to assume it’s a Rush reference
  6. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

The start of New World Today reminds me a lot of Trial of Tears from the Dream Theater album with Derek and Mike. It’s a favorite my dad and I so I think he will he excited when I tell him the album dropped today.
  7. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

Not disappointed in the slightest. King of Delusion is as heavy as the new Doom soundtrack and it’s fantastic. Why is it that Singles are not even close to the best songs on the album (except Fall to Ascend). I’m gonna have this on repeat for at least a few days. Wither to Black is a contender for my favorite song by them, but Coming Home is still my favorite
  8. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I’m really excited for this album. If it’s anywhere on the level of the first album it’s going to be amazing
  9. RIP Neil Peart

I was having a good day because of the new Ozzy and Sons of Apollo song. Then I heard about this when I went on break at work. All my friends and I are playing Rush exclusively after we heard about it. RIP one of the best drummers ever
  10. Ozzy with Elton John, nothing more needs to be said
  11. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

  12. It’s amazing how late they can be. I’ve been listening to all the leaks on my phone for almost an entire semester. Yet the same places will run with a story about a not as mainstream artist (Mike Portnoy) with something that is much less relevant.
  13. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

They seem like a band that could both records in their entirety the whole tour. I really hope they do that. But, Portnoy has plenty of experience playing long songs live, just look at Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence from the Score dvd. I think a 15 minute song would be no problem for them to bust out live
  14. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

Portnoy’s drum intro is fantastic, and his drumming throughout the track elevated it to another level. The riffs are amazing, and I love the dynamics between JSS’s voice. The solo section is incredible and shows how good Bumblefoot and Derek are. All of this is not even including the work of one of the world’s best bass players. I am now even more hyped to see them in February
  15. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

New song starts out with a drum intro I was hoping for from Portnoy. Pretty heavy and I really like it
  16. What Are You Listening To 2019

I started going through every Symphony X album after finishing Van Halen
  17. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I think this is cool as hell, watching how they make the album. It’s also cool to look around the room and see all their influences ex. Metallica, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Yes, Rush and god knows how many others
  18. I’m seeing them in Bangor and I hope it’s anyone but him
  19. Does any one know who Ozzy is doing the make up dates with? At the show I’m going to, the tickets were originally for Ozzy/Megadeth. But I’ve also seen stuff that has Ozzy/Judas Priest and Ozzy/ Marilyn Manson. I’d prefer Megadeth but be fine with Judas Priest, but I despise Manson and wouldn’t want to see him.
  20. Which cover do you prefer to the original?

I personally like every GnR cover more than the original. Metallica has some great covers, even making a Queen song better than Queen. Dream Theater’s covers on the Change of Season EP are so good that even though they’re live they sound just like studio versions of the original songs. Adrenaline Mob has a pretty great covers album, and Metal Allegiance’s We Rock cover is better than the original, and that’s hard considering how good the original is.
  21. Sons of Apollo (Bumblefoots Band)

I wasn’t a huge fan of their first couple albums, but I really enjoyed the new one
