I kinda agree for that reasoning and due to the constant talk about starting a fundraiser. Some things should just be discussed privately.
Exactly!
Also if nothing's gonna happen anyways, and if there's nothing really to discuss, then there's no point of this thread being left opened. We have already said everything that is to say about the songs.

I think it's time to delete this thread...People were named...Mods ?

He’s most likely getting a letter from UMG that he returns the cds and they’ll threaten damages/potential legal costs if the material gets out.
His needs to claim the material is already out there elsewhere and that this was before he received the CDs. It’s not on him if it gets out
Exactly! That's what I've been saying all along... He didn't get the discs out... Someone else didn't pay his storage rent and the owner sold everything...

The financial incentive is already spelled out in the contract with an advance/royalty structure for a release. Whether that makes sense has always been the issue for both sides for these songs.
In this case, I doubt that UMG would want to count this as part of a album owed under their contract. They’d prob want to release it as CD expanded reissue. Especially if there’s 1 or 2 albums left on the deal. They want control over Slash/GNR albums. Then you get into whether GNR has actually recouped under Chinese Democracy release and what deals/contract renegotiations have been made over the years that have gone into that number on top of the Best Buy Deal
They’d need to negotiate something for this type of release. To expect them to come up with a deal in a few days time is a bit much considering the likely history.
I'm guessing that the record company probably was forcing Axl to reunite, so they could have the rest of the albums owed in their contract with Slash and Duff in it, so they could sell more records, but that is just speculation from me.

While we generally do everything we can to protect the anonymity of all users, his first name is fairly well known at this point. As others have pointed out, he hasn't been shy in using it on this forum and other areas of the internet. Moreover, it's not as though he and others wouldn't be on GNR's radar at this point.
GNR has to worry about a producer (who was responsible for those cd's), and the guy who sold the goods, in my opinion... From the moment the storage was up for grabs, that could be considered a leak right? Since the cd's are out there already.

Once the mystery instrumental songs with no vocals leak, I think we should have a contest to come up with lyrics for them
Maybe hearing us all (poorly) singing over his songs will inspire Axl to actually finish them
Or maybe shelve them 4 life!

you're kidding but this could easily be more or less treated in the same way, or at least someone might try investigating it as similar or even heavier issue
Well I don't think a drug dealer would show clips of his powder

There is not "15 CD's" that leaked. That's 150 tracks if each CD had only ten songs.
I'm guessing you didn't read the story.
There's 20 CDS! That are coming right off Zutaut's lost locker! Those cds have completed songs (meaning with vocals) and loads of Instrumentals. As well as the re-recorded AFD.

Is it really that easy to start a rumor? Just type up some bullshit and watch people react? Maybe I'll try that one day. Just type up some stupid shit and see how many PM's I get.
At ay rate, I don't believe you, and I call bullshit. There is not 15 discs of GnR material floating out there. 15 songs, yes... but it is on one CD, on said bootleg Checkmate is called Checkmate not "hard school", there is no song named "Billionaire" and only WTTJ and SCOM from the AFD redux, not the whole album. The "3rd Brian May song" listed as "Noticia Falsa" has been thoroughly debunked by those in the know, and was simply mislabeled (or purposely misattributed to May) by whoever made the master bootleg It is obviously DJ. Zodiac, Atlas Shrugged Oklahoma etc. are on it, yes, but that isn't news, they've been out for over 2 months. This is nothing new, stop seeking attention.
UH?? You're clearly out of your loop Brothaaa!

I can't wait to listen to Atlas and Hard School, but I'm also very very curious to hear the Original version of Silkworms and Chinese Democracy

So let’s say the flood gates open.. everything leaks. What will be our next quest? Essentially this more or less every known song excluding a handful that most likely aren’t in the wild. Plus a ton of new ones we’ve never even imagined. We already have HOB 2001..
Essentially if we wish hard enough “dreams do come true”. We should pick carefully? 🤔
(Slight joke)
If everything leaks, I'm done with GNR. I'll go to a show if they come to my town, but as far as waiting for more music, I would be done with that. And it's a "deserved retirement". I've been waiting for those songs for 20 years...

I liked both Hard School is classic Axl stuff, has that switch from Axl's voice, from clean to rasp. Awesome! Single material!
When I listen to Atlas, it reminds me of the first time I heard There Was a Time in 2006, except Atlas seems to have more potential.

Leave Rhiad on, just use an earlier version like the 2008 Antiquiet release. Also prevents that lawsuit with...Thomas Schnausse?
Ulrich Schnauss, my bad.
Buckethead's solo is crap!

Nope.
They're all probably on vacation and couldn't care less. The band that participated on that material is death. Their focus is now on what Axl, Duff and Slash can do, and the upcoming tour they're planning.

It's definitely Slash on the Sweet Child O'Mine rehearsal! It sounds awesome! Except for Axl not giving a shit lol
-
So if this was recorded in 2000, I was 14 when they recorded this...Now I'm 32! This is fuckin' insane!
