  1. Thanks for sharing my YouTube videos of Prostitute, Perhaps etc. You beat me to it. Just slept for half a day after getting back last night. I have a few more videos uploaded from last nights show too. It was a solid show even though Melissa was absent (Axl said she was being checked for pneumonia as someone earlier mentioned). And yes those were Dizzy’s parents sitting to the left. I was standing at the rail right in front of them and Axl actually came and sat down next to them on stage for a few seconds during the show and smiled at them. Funny interaction. I didn’t see their tour buses after the show this time unfortunately. I was able to get Axl’s autograph on my litho in Knoxville and Pittsburgh but no luck in Denver this time. It was great hearing some deeper cuts this time. Perhaps was awesome as usual. They also played Shadow of Your Love, which I had not heard live in person before.
  2. Out of curiosity, this show doesn't seem to have a General Admission option for the pit. The only options are the Welcome to the Jungle Experience and Patience Early Entry package. The other shows I've been to on this leg of the tour had a GA option for the pit. I'll be traveling far for this one, so I might just get good tickets early rather than risk getting bad seats. Interestingly, the show is on 10/27. Wonder if we might hear The General?
  3. On the fence about getting tickets until closer to the event. Long drive ahead...but hoping it happens!
  4. Hoping it happens after they postponed St Louis. I might drive there but it’s a long trek.
  5. Hope the illness gets better soon. Fingers crossed Knoxville is still happening.
  6. I ordered a Perhaps shirt while at the Pittsburgh show. Felt I needed to commemorate the occasion!
  7. I’ve been in the Pittsburgh area for about twenty years now. I still have no idea why Pittsburgh’s litho looks like this. The only two things that jumped out at me were that there’s a river in the design, and perhaps the church represents Romero’s Night of the Living Dead? That’s a stretch though. I like the design because it’s so random. The color kind of matches Hershey from a couple years ago. (Not this year’s Hershey design - the one from 2021).
  8. I got a North American litho at Hershey. They were at the merch booth inside the stadium (the one in the main floor not the one near the bathrooms). They weren’t in the merch booth in the parking lot either. They also had them in Pittsburgh. Got mine framed and on the wall with my Pittsburgh and Hershey lithos.
  9. I enjoyed the show, and I do think he’s improved overall since the last tour. But I agree that he sounds better in a lower voice. The “Mickey” moments are still tough for me to enjoy personally. Once this tour concludes, I really would like to hear how he sounds after a good long rest. When I look back at how he sounded for AC/DC (which wasn’t that long ago and sounded good), I can’t help but wonder if a little hiatus might refresh his vocals a bit. It was still awesome though - so glad to see them twice on this leg. He seems to be having a great time these days and it’s refreshing to see that.
  10. 250 per city. There’s also a North American tour Lithograph that has a total of 1000.
  11. The two shows I went to had a small batch for sale outside the stadium. In Hershey I got a litho in the outdoor merch tent about 2 hours before gates opened, and they were running low. In Pittsburgh, they opened the outdoor merch tent around 11 am (gates opened at 4:30), and by the time I got there the outdoor merch tent was out of lithos. But I got one inside the venue once the gates opened.
  12. Thanks so much. It was a frigid 5-6 hours too and I wasn’t dressed warmly. Had to keep pacing back and forth to keep warm. But it was worth it in the end! I’ve never tried to do anything like that before so I wasn’t sure if it would pay off, but it did. Awesome to see one of my favorite artists of all time up close. I saw them in Hershey last week (and the last two times they were there in prior years). Last week’s Hershey show was solid too. I got tickets to the the pit in Hershey so I had a much better view of the stage than my seats in Pittsburgh.
  13. That’s an excellent question. I was speculating what he was doing all those hours inside the stadium after the show. Slash Dizzy and the rest of the band left quickly afterwards. Slash got in a waiting SUV, waved at us, and left. But Axl and his entourage lingered inside for hours. I will say though, he and his entourage have a lot of baggage. I watched them pack his bus for hours!
  14. Cool video! He’s come a long way in terms of being friendly to fans in my opinion. Of all the band members, I always had the viewpoint that Axl was the hardest band member to meet or interact with. Last night blew me away … I’m still amazed Axl signed my poster. He was very friendly.
  15. Where I was seated in the stadium, the crowd went wild during the hits like Sweet Child and November Rain, but as soon as something newer came on people became tame and just kind of stood there or sat down. I was one of the few oddballs in my section that got excited for the new stuff. On a different note, I got my video of Perhaps linked in a short rolling stone article. And the article wasn’t too critical either. Rolling Stone blurb on debut of Perhaps w/link
  16. Wow. Just got home from the Pittsburgh show. I stayed outside the park to see if I could meet or see any of the band members leave the stadium. Me and about a dozen other fans stayed across the street from the tour buses behind a tall chain link fence. (Security kept telling us we had to stay off the stadium sidewalk, so we were left with no choice but to stand for hours behind a fence across the street). We saw Beta board the bus probably around 1 am, but no Axl. We saw Slash leave and Dizzy. They left immediately after waving to everyone. I was about to give up (I was exhausted and it was quite cold outside) when around 4:30 am, Axl was being driven in a golf cart towards his tour bus to depart. I had my Pittsburgh lithograph with me and a marker, and Axl came and signed it! Me and a few others were lucky enough to get his signature (albeit through a chain link fence) and thank him. He did't say much, and it was a brief encounter, but at least I got to thank him personally. Never met anyone from the band or any major celebrity ...never thought it would be Axl no less. Took a photo of the signed lithograph and a blurry photo of Axl getting out of the golf cart next to his tour bus. Signed Pittsburgh lithograph - Axl autograph Aug 18 2023 Photo of Axl getting out of golf cart next to tour bus
  17. Perhaps Pittsburgh Aug 18 Not the greatest seats but glad I had my phone to see this!
  18. So thrilled I got to see Perhaps. So glad I made it to this concert. They also played Absurd and Hard Skool, but the highlight was obviously Perhaps. Axl made a little speech joking how he has to figure out how to sing it live. Fun to hear his thoughts before launching into the song. I recorded it on my phone.
  19. North American Litho photo I'm not sure how best to upload the photo but hopefully this works. This is the first time I've seen a general tour litho. Unfortunately I got a small tear at the bottom - I was in the pit and it was hard trying to protect it. But it should still be good for framing and is still in pretty great condition. Here's the Hershey 2023 litho: Hershey 2023 litho
  20. I agree this was much better than the last Hershey show. I was fortunate enough to be in the pit this year too. Axl was so interactive with the crowd this time around. Cracking jokes and just having a good time. He also seemed to be in better control of his voice too. I was glad to hear Hard Skool, Slither, and some Chinese Democracy songs too. He also pulled off Witchita Lineman pretty good - better than when I saw them in Columbus. (Though the overall sound quality of an indoor arena like Columbus blows the acoustics at Hershey away imo - love seeing GNR indoors). Hoping I'll hear some new music when I see them in Pittsburgh but not holding my breath - but it'll be great to see them again soon.
  21. Just got back from Hershey. Better than the last time they were in Hershey imo, even though I was hoping to see Perhaps. Axl was in a phenomenal mood- cracking jokes, interacting with the crowd, joking with the band. I also have to say they pulled off Slither pretty good. Not as much Mickey this time around - Axl sounded pretty fresh. The rest of the band was awesome too. Got the Hershey lithograph and the North American Tour lithograph as well. Got tickets to Pittsburgh next week - hopefully I'll see Perhaps but who knows!
