Powerage5
Is it just me, or does an official announcement for a release date 2 and a half years in advance seem way far out? Like, for Skyfall and SPECTRE, the release date was announced at the press conference approximately a year before release.

We had the release date for Casino Royale about eight months or so before Daniel was announced as Bond but otherwise I think this has to be the earliest they've ever announced it. Even with Skyfall getting delayed I can't remember if they ever offered an official release date for the planned 2011 film. It seems so far away right now but I guess it won't be any worse than the wait for Skyfall.
Crazyman
Not an official announcement, but the "failing" NY Times reports that DC is back for at least one more!

If that's so, this is still earlier than that one.

My personal prediction is that the delay is to secure Craig, Mendes, Waltz, and the other Skyfall/SPECTRE crew. Plenty of time for Adele's voice to heal too.
Georgy Zhukov
I think Mendes is out. This film might have a Frenchman at the helm for the first time. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/yann-demange-bond-25-daniel-craig-likely-to-return-1202507288/ Now Bond is going to surrender to the henchmen. dontdamnmeuyi2015
I heard there will be a 25th Bond movie. No word on if Daniel Craig will be back or a new Bond will be announced? I do like Daniel Craig as James Bond. He's just so good. As for James Bond being gay, well, he's always loved women, so that wouldn't be believable to change his sexuality now. Maybe make a new spy gay. In the new movie, Atomic Blonde, the female spy has a sex scene with another woman!
Georgy Zhukov
Atomic Blonde looks great. Two reasons why Craig hasn't been confirmed yet. He could leave if they pick a director he can't work with. Also EON/MGM doesn't have a distributor yet though likely it will be Warner Brothers. They will want Craig back because his Bond has been very successful and WB desperately needs a franchise as their DC extended universe has been leaving much to be desired. Justice League might chance all that, as Wonder Woman did.

Crazyman
Daniel Craig is on Colbert tonight and just confirmed he's coming back as Bond! Edit: he also said the "slash his wrist" comment was stupid and that he was exhausted after shooting the last one. Bumble's Bridge Pickup
Every other of Craig's Bond movies is great - I hope that the trend continues. Hopefully they get Blofeld back too and do a fitting end to this "universe". Then they could reboot with the next actor and commit to a different style, e.g. a 60s setting or something. James Bond
That pretty much means Waltz is a lock. Also, sorry Madeline Swann.

I have to disagree with that (certainly none are on the DAD level of shittiness), however he himself has been great in all the movies and has been the best thing about all of them. Please, for the love of gawd, write a decent script for his last one! Hopefully the trend of writing one good movie for one not so good movie continues (CR;QoS, Skyfall;Spectre) Edited August 16, 2017 by Crazyman
DieselDaisy
Craig's Bonds, the odd numbers are great. The even numbers stink. This will be an odd number.
James Bond
The four year gaps gave us Casino Royale and Skyfall. I am confident this will be no different. The potential for a fantastic story with all the Blofeld pieces in place excites me. Craig will be 51 yes but he currently looks about the same as he did in SPECTRE and in movie time we can just assume he was serious about settling down with Madeline and has been for a couple of years.

To be honest, he might look a few years older than CR/QoS, but I honestly can't tell too much of a difference between Skyfall and Spectre. As long as he doesn't age like shit he'll still look young enough to pull it off. Plus, every Bond that did more than 2 movies aged noticeably by the time the 3rd came out, save for maybe Moore. They all age. Connery started to look old by YOLT. Brosnan aged between GoldenEye and TMD and didn't age much until DAD and now he looks old. Dalton probably had the most difference of all of them. In Daylights he had a full head of hair, in LTK it was receding.

James Bond
Another classic Bond formula is that the third film is always the best of the tenure. I always read that on Bond forums and as a general consensus on casual movie sites. Personally I think it's just more Goldfinger dick sucking. TSWLM is probably Roger's best but not my personal favorite. GoldenEye is Brosnan's best but I have a soft spot for TWINE. Skyfall is another one for the argument, but I might just prefer Casino Royale by a hair.
