GeetarMikey 1 Posted September 5, 2012 Twice - London Docklands in 02 i think it was and at the Manchester MEN a few months ago that I got to see for free Both were really good, but I can't help but pine for classic GN'R y'know? I remember at the (not very well attended unfortunately) MEN thinking Ashba was better than I gave him credit for and that Stinson had a brilliant bass sound. Docklands was amazing because it had that "this is the new line-up now so let's 'ave it" vibe.Wanna see the Vegas shows out of interest, but living in England and not having the money sorta puts paid to that idea! Stiff Competition 584 Posted September 6, 2012 I've seen Axl's band 5 times. One time (Inland Invasion 2006) was really fucking good. 3 times (All three nights at Gibson Ampitheatre in 2006) were really quite amazing. 1 time (the forum, last year) was fucking terrible.I've also seen VR 14 times, Slash solo probably about 8 times, Adler a number of times, gilby once, etc.
Twinaleblood 198 Posted September 6, 2012 I attended 2 out of the 7 shows they played here in Italy:-Rome 2010-Milan 2010I think I have good reasons (unrelated to the band of course) for having skipped the others :xmasssanta: As far as other members, I've seen Duff with Loaded once (2009 in Milan) and Robin with NIN (2009 in Milan, they were on the same bill with Loaded). Also seen Josh Freese with NIN too (2007 in Milan).
cspalding22 25 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Orlando '92 - everyone always gives GNR crap about being late and "unprofessional". Well in '92 Metallica was booed off the stage twice. Crowd was rowdy to say the least when Guns came on and blew the roof off the place, absolutely destroyed and saved the day.Boston '02Worcester '06Worcester '11 Edited September 6, 2012 by cspalding22

Why? I don't know. I was old enough (IMO), I just fucked up. I certainly regret it, especially since I lived in an area (Long Island, NY) to have seen many of their classic shows. Oh well. There's nothing like regret to remind you you're alive. But the current linup is a thrill to watch as well, believe it.

James Bond 3,842 Posted September 6, 2012 Three times so far, and Slash twice. Never did get around to seeing Velvet Revolver.Toronto 2006 - the latest start of the three shows I've seen (11:40) and Axl wasn't in the greatest mood. Fairly good set list though (Used to Love Her and Out Ta Get Me, as well as IRS) and Axl sounded great.Hamilton 2010 - Much better than 2006. Got to see There Was A Time, Scraped, and If The World. Decent start time (10:20) and again, Axl sounded great.Hamilton 2011 - The best of the three. It's a bit biased because it's the most recent but it was the most fun I had. Estranged live was a nice treat too. Listening back, Axl did have quite a bit of Mickey going on but live you can barely tell. He still sounded strong and the set was solid.
