DieselDaisy
What is 'winding your career down' supposed to mean anyway? There are artists years older then Axl who would refute the notion that they are winding down their career. I can only presume you mean, slowing your work load down, yet this cannot apply to Axl either as the touring has been heavier than ever! trqster
Fact is that Axl being (legally) by himself Gn'R, he's very much entitled to play all the greatest hits he wants. All the other 'band mates' he's had through times are at the end of day nothing more or less than 'hired' musicians to give him whatever support he needs.People attending the shows, for a fact the overwhelming majority, just buy the tickets to see a nostalgia gig and if Axl say decided to play lots of CD material plus unreleased music he'd bore the f@ck out of the audience real fast, people would leave and he'd get probably booed. Then on the aftermath the promotors would start to pull the plug and the remaining tour(s) would get canceled - commercial catasthrophe...
