No Love Remains = Checkmate/Jackie Chan?

The clip of that song sucks so bad.

I'll take it over half of CD
I wanna put most of that shit back in the vault too.

But aren't you fascinated by the additional gongs, Chinese chatter, drum machine loops, fart and bubble effects.. I mean the majority of the instruments were done in 2003 but the final touches by master goose is what took so long. Perfection :-) haha

Just a thought, and a tad suprised no-one else seems to have mentioned it.. but does anyone think that 16 second clip we heard was No Love Remains? I seem to recall that being a title mentioned around 2000, and if you were to incorperate that lyrics into the phrasing of the song it doesn't seem unrealistic to think that might be the title at that point. I certainly don't believe GN'R have a song called Jackie Chan...

While I'm here... Quick Song became Chinese Democracy? I also remember hearing that Quick Song was a 4 chord riff similar to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'... the intro riff to Chinese Democracy isn't a million miles away to the 'Teen Spirit riff....

Thoughts?

I think your reaching quite a bit for that one

The clip of that song sucks so bad.

Why?
Have you heard it?
Yeah! It sounds in many ways more like old school GNR compared to CD stuff.
I think it's terrible in every way. His voice sounds terrible. The lyrics are more of the woe is me, everyone hurts me shit. Honestly, if this is the quality in the vault, I hope the vault remains closed.

Seems a bit of a premature criticism based on 16 seconds.

The rollicking energy of the clip intrigues me - sounds like it could build up into something kind of riffy and catchy - but the production sounds a bit flat and muddled, which i imagine a lot of the tracks from the vault probably will sound like.

Quick song and CD are two different entities

I will fully admit that when I say it is terrible and I hope shit like this stays in the vault, I am talking about a tiny snippet of a song. It is definitely possible that Axl relearns how to sing and write well during the rest of it. :P
