I’m in the exact same boat as you, except I watched the second season back in February and have already forgotten how everything is connected and what everyone is doing.  Now I feel I have to start the show all over again because I’m not sure I’ll be able to follow the third and final season.  Great show but definitely a mind fuck.

That's what I should have done. I'm stuck on episode 3 now and I'm lost. I still want to finish it, because it's the final season and a great show, but I either have to read up on a lot of the storylines or start from the beginning again. I watched a summary of the first two seasons on YouTube before starting the third season, but that wasn't of much help.

For those who haven't started it yet; season 3 is the final season, so it's a show one can easily binge-watch and that should make it easier to follow, just don't take a long break in between episodes, unless you have a photographic memory.

Yeah, the speed of change and storytelling picks up exponentially as the show moves along. I had a good handle on the show during the first and the second half of season two but things really started to get complicated  after that. You would think having only watched the second season four months ago it wouldn’t be a problem but I’m really hesitant to continue.

I told others the exact same thing about watching the show. It’s now safe to jump in now that the third season has arrived. I wish I had waited but that’s hindsight. There was zero chance I could have known what I was getting myself into when I started watching it.

Midnight Gospel (Netflix)

Easily one of the most trippy shows I have ever seen. No idea how this was greenlit, but I’m glad it was. It will take several viewings to really get everything they are doing. The last episode is some of the most profound television I have ever seen. Not afraid to admit that it made me tear up like nothing i have seen before.  Not for everyone but for those looking for something really out there and different and come at it from an open mind I would really recommend it.

Don’t watch the trailer as it doesn’t do a great job of selling the show.

Hunters (Amazon Prime)

Jewish revenge porn at its most pulpy. I enjoyed most of it but found my interest waining the last couple of episodes.  Interesting and fun reveal at the end that sets up a possible second season.

Star Trek - The Next Generation

I use to watch this show when I was a kid. I didn’t love it back then likely because a lot of it went over my head at the time. I use to watch reruns in syndication so I never really followed the overarching narrative for each season (even though it’s very light in this area.  But i am loving it so far. It’s such a better show than how i remember it. And a lot of it holds up really well for a show that was made in the late 80s and early 90s (though it’s funny how they somehow failed to predict ebooks).

It’s also been refreshing to watch a show where stories are contained in one episode. Kind of a nice throwback. Plus with everything going on of late the show offers some great future escapism that presents humanity long past the absurdities of life we currently encounter. The cast for the most part is fantastic, with Patrick Stewart crushing every scene he’s in as Jean-Luc Picard.  The first season is a bit of a slog but it really hits its stride in season two, particularly once the Borg makes their first appearance. I’m also surprised how funny the show can be at times.

Never considered myself a huge Star Trek fan (though the film First Contact is one of my favourite sci-fi films) but may need to reconsider that consideration. I’m halfway through season four with three and a half seasons left.

Finally catching up on Lost before it gets yanked from Amazon once more in 2 weeks. Currently at the beginning of season 2.

People will say the first three or four seasons are the best and that things went off the rails for seasons 5 and 6.  But I enjoyed the entire show.  It's a great ride.

Yes. That's what I heard and also that the conclusion is not really satisfying, which made me wonder if I should even bother. But right now I'm at the beginning of season 3 and I'm enjoying it. Is a bit of a trip, but entertaining.

Personally I loved the conclusion.  The show is really about the characters and their respective journeys. The overarching themes of the show remain strong throughout.

You might feel differently than others because you get to watch the show at your own schedule. I started watching from the first episode, as did millions of others. It took six years of watching week to week. For some they felt the payoff wasn’t worth the investment. If you can watch the show in a month, you might not feel like you’re owed the same heights of narrative storytelling that some expected having invested so much of their time and patience.

Yeah. I didn't have the patience for that, so I dropped out quickly, always planning to watch it once it's all said and done. Took me longer than expected to get around though. I usually wait until a season is done and then watch it back to back. For me that's way more rewarding, easier to stay in the show and like that I also don't have to complain about filler episodes, as I can just watch another right after.

I (re)watched Lost when it was Netflix years ago. What struck me is that the story isn't as confusing as it was made out to be during its run.

People swore it was the most complicated show on TV.

I guess it is, when you have to remember over weeks and months and years what has happened. Not so much, when you watch it all in a couple of weeks.

Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. Ive watched allot of these type of shows including the original Unsolved Mysteries and ive seen some creepy people be interviewed, but holy hell is the husband in episode 2 the creepiest. (Its a case of a woman who disappeared from her salon in a 13 minute window, her remains were found 2 years later) He really puts off serial killer vibes and screams guilty. He clearly thought/thinks he owns her.

True, I remember that there were 8 months in between the seasons at the end. Good luck remembering everything that happened. Especially if you watch several other shows in the meantime.

Exactly. That's why binge watching is a great gift. ;)

At the beginning of season 4 of Lost now. Still enjoying it. What really is astonishing though is the amount of talent that came through this show. Pretty much every actor I got to know through other shows of the past 15 - 20 years makes an appearance here. Amazing.

I felt they kinda dropped the ball with the middle seasons, not as bad as Dexter, it was still good, but they got back on track with the last two seasons if I remember correctly. Probably one of the best shows I had seen up until that point.

I'm glad the next 3 seasons were shorter. So maybe a little less back and forth. ;) But yes, good to hear they didn't drop the ball as bad as Dexter.

I won't give away any spoilers, but the only thing that disappointed me was that the producers had promised that they would explain everything at the end, all the weird shit that goes on, but either I didn't pay attention, or they didn't keep that promise because I don't think everything was explained.

Final season of Homeland. Even though not every season has been as consistent as the first few, I still rate it as one of the best shows I have seen. Intelligent, superb writing, and great acting.

Yes. Still need to catch up on the last 3 seasons. Like the show so far.

Finished with season 5. That definitely was a trip. Loved the time jumps and how deflated, disillusiond, defeated and, well, lost (that title works so well), Ben was in the latter half. Not sure I really understood everything, but didn't feel let down. Still amazed at the actors passing through and so many of them ending up on shows together. Even Lionel made an appearance. ;)
