I watched the entire Lost Series. I'm so upset the way it ended. I've now watched the first season of The Bates Motel. I really like it. I'm still not over Lost though.

Edit: Had to edit out the spoiler on the ending of Lost. I cried at the way they ended that. Being a Southerner... I had a mad crush on Sawyer though, he spoke my language.

Was a huge Lost fan when it was on, was very dissatisfied with the ending, and how the series in general was handled basically after season 4 (which even then was still sort of questionable). I've gone on long rants before, and I could easily do so again, but there's no point.

Anyone know if Netflix is ever going to add profiles to Roku? My daughter has Roku in her room and my son also uses it. I'm tired of seeing Disney shit and little kids shows on my profile.

You might want to check with Roku....my Samsung Blu-Ray player lets me choose between kids and regular before I even sign on.

So does my wife's tablet, our iPhones, my Xbox, and our computers. I think Roku is just behind the times.

Also: re watching Orange is the New Black in anticipation of the new season.

I don't know what Roku is but you can go to 'My Account Settings' then 'Taste Preferences' and there are many, many categories where you can choose how often you watch each genre. The choices are, 'Never, Sometimes and Often.' This has something to do with log-rhythms in how movies / shows are displayed for you. You still get the Disney shows but not nearly as many. Be prepared to spend a couple of hours going through this. They throw up the same choices several times but not in the same sequence. It's tiring but you begin to notice the pattern. You'll see what I mean. Hope this helps.

Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Extended Edition. I think it is 6 seasons. Just found it!! Good reviews! Looks good!

I've done that many times. It shows the kids stuff so much because my kids watch the default profile on Roku all day while I'm at work instead of using the kids profile on the Xbox.

That blows. My daughter, her friend and my mom have profiles on mine. My 18 y/o keeps watching all this weird stuff and it's changing my profile up too. I'm getting lots of soft porn. She thinks I don't know why! hahaha

Edit: Heads up, English subtitles. I like it though. I usually have on subtitles anyway, even with English speaking movies. We call them 'the words' in our home :)

Twin Peaks. Never saw it and yes, I've heard sooo much about it.

It only took me the better part of a quarter of a century to get around to it... :P

I remember that! I never watched it either. I just finished The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy. Watched the entire thing this weekend. Was very good. I'll have to watch Twin Peaks now!

Most recent films I've seen on Netflix are "Sexy Evil Genius" and "It's a Disaster". Completely different films premise wise, but the setting techniques are similar, in that both take place in one location 90% of the movie, although the latter has an entire house while the first just has a bar. I don't know why but I really like movies that do that sort of thing, kinda like "The Man from Earth". Anybody have any recommendations similar to these, setting wise?

The Killing Jar

The entire movie is shot in a diner.

Aw man, I forgot all about that movie! I need to rewatch it tonight. We're both talking about the one with Michael Madsen and Harold Perrinau, right? The one that, for some reason features Danny Trejo on the poster despite his limited role. What was up with that?

I guess Trejo was just added onto the poster as a recognizable face. Madsen and Perrinau should have been recognizable enough, but I guess I just think that because I watch a lot of old action flicks and Oz.

Trejo is probably the "hottest" right now...and has the biggest cult following.

I sure hope there weren't too many people who saw it just because of him then, cause that would amount to a lot of pissed off viewers.

Anyone watched Top of the Lake? Wondering if it's good, but I tend not to like BBC productions. Heard it's good

It's good but it's a slow burn type of show...not much action or anything. Top notch acting all around
