Popular Post Redhead74 Posted February 4, 2014 Popular Post Share Posted February 4, 2014 This thread is all about the MYGNR community uniting to help cheer up one of our members who is in desperate need of some love and happiness.Many of you may already know that rock4eva is undergoing one of the many battles she has had to endure in her life. For those who don't know she is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, after several surgical procedures to rid her of the evil disease. This is only one battle she has faced. The other being the battle of Huntington's disease, which has taken the life of her two children and which her husband is still battling.I personally love this community. There is a fantastic group of people here and despite the disputes, arguments and battles that go on daily I really believe that this a great group of people who all have a great deal of humility and commitment to this awesome place that we all keep coming back to, day after day. I really believe that everyone on here is good at heart and would hate to know that one of us is suffering in any way. So, please post whatever you'd like to here: whether its well wishes, jokes, whatever......lets laugh and have some fun! This is a strong spirited woman who can see humour in the face of pain (believe me, she can!) and loves to laugh. She is tough beyond measure, but just don't knock Axl, or you will deal with her wrath. Note: warning given and no responsibility taken for what transpires from this woman's wrath. Although I know life often forces you to be strong, and you have no other option than to be strong. (At least, that's how I see it.) BUT, I personally know several people who have beat this disease, attitude plays a big part. It's also about finding peace of mind and tranquility. Meditation can help and depending on the area of the body which is affected, there are also independent treatments, such as medicinal cannibis. I just read something about it this morning. I was very lucky to have a close family unit & stable upbringing & that likely gives me the strength to deal with the curve balls that have been thrown my way in the last 15yrs.Alfierose - I am so very sorry for the loss of your Mum, you mentioned how ill she was at Christmas and I'm sad to hear of her passing. Sending you big hugs & warm thoughts, I hope you have a strong family & friends supporting you at this time.Orsys - I also wish you well & hope things are looking brighter for you, I think of you often.Gia - that is awful news to hear about your Aunt, I hope she is being well looked after & send lots of warm thoughts your way too.For everyone else with challenges in life I wish you well, have a goal in mind & head straight for it.
