Picking the seam and to a lesser extent nails are illegal also but understand this is all a bit of a grey area, a topical debate, and subjective, and the umpires get the ball back after every few overs/wicket to inspect it. But obviously bringing a foreign object out, sandpaper - Imran Khan once admitted to using a bottle cap!

What kind of pitches are these that you can expect to get away with using bottle caps and fuckin' sandpaper, are they fuckin' thick or something? It is quite easy to hide, and the whole ball tampering/swing bowling thing did not come to anyone's, at least non-Pakistani, attention until the England v Pakistan series of 1992 when Wasim and Waqar had it mysteriously swinging round corners and there was a big controversy. DieselDaisy
Alistair Cook retiring from test cricket and Collingwood retiring from all forms of cricket. Here is Colly, There isn't any of them left now in the county game, what with Johnathon Trott also retiring, cricketers who value their wicket. DieselDaisy
Well done Worcestershire. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of lads. Edited September 15, 2018 by DieselDaisy
wasted
Worcestershire won? I used to go watch them way back when Botham and Kapal Dev were playing.
DieselDaisy
Yes of course, Beefy was at Worcester: Somerset, Worcestershire, Durham. He left Somerset in the big scandal when they sacked Viv and Joel and joined Worcs. We (Durham) received an atrociously overweight Botham in 1992-3. wasted
He seemed pretty relaxed at Worcs. I got his autograph by the boundary. Then I’d see him as he burned home in his jag down our road. I think actually he moved into Kapal Devs house. It was like one all rounder out, one in.
spunko12345
Ive been working from home today so have watched the West Indies v England. The Windies chose to bat first and went fucking berserk. England chasing 360 but are on 40-0 After 4 overs so looking ok. The pitch is a batsmen dream, it looks dry and lifeless😁
DieselDaisy
I'm impressed Spunko. In fact you have alerted me to it (that said, I have spent the last two days being bummed up the arse at a Slash concert haha).
spunko12345
126/1 After 16 overs at drinks now. Chris Gayle scored 100 odd and just hit boundaries galore. He doesn't seem that interested in fielding now though.
