Iran admitted to shooting down that plane. So what's next?

None of those countries including Canada will do anything about it. They will bitch and moan and that'll be it.

What a world we live in!

Yeah, the ending is great for all the characters involved. I loved the ending. Made me smile.

OMG! Just beautiful. We did have tiny snow flurries here in Dallas for about ten minutes. you had to really look to see them, but they were there. As soon as they hit my windshield they melted, but for a bit it looked so pretty.

What? You want me to other countries to do something to Iran because they accidentally shot down one of their own civilian planes? Does your blood lust hold no boundaries?

I watched this show on Netflix last week that was set in 1996. They tried real hard to make the show as nostalgic as possible by using only 90's music and references to that era. It made me miss the 90's too.

so many things. for one thing, they put aspertame in fucking everything these days. only coke (the soft drink) seems to be spared but stuff like sprite and ice tea all substitute sugar with aspartame.

music videos on MTV, beavis and butthead, mike tyson, real arnold action movies, local drugstores (they're all disappearing), I miss wired telephones, old fashioned computers with diskettes, cassette players, VHS recorders so I can decide myself what I want to record and so on, so on. Come to think of it, so many liberties are quitely taken away from us. The ability to record programs, the ability to listen to music on a portable device, the ability to play a video game without an online connection, and most of all, the one thing that I really miss: the ability to stay rather unnoticed and anonymus, where everyone is dragging a goddamn camera along. You can't even make a proper scene in, say, a restaurant anymore without being filmed. Everyone has become so fucking lifeless and stale as a result.

When I see anything from that era I have no feeling of nostalgia whatsoever. The 90's was such a non entity for me. The 80's is where it's at for my nostalgia feels. Best movies, best music, best drugs etc etc.

VHS recorders

I miss the days when you had Betamax and VHS. The video stores had sections for each and the movie you wanted was always only available on the other format. Best thing about 80's video stores is that most of them were independently owned and all you had to judge a movie on was the artwork and description on the box.

going to the video store as a 14 year old kid, and noticing that section with a curtain, was certainly an experience.

nowadays, everything is readily available on the internet. Being a 14 year old kid today certainly gives you more.... options than in say 1997 when we passed around dodgy diskettes. I still have one of those laying around. "celebs04" was written on it. I always wondered what would be on the other 3.

I had a Commodore Amiga in about 1992 and all of the software I had came on copied floppy discs. Loads of dodgy porn, games and instructions on how to make bombs if I remember correctly.

the days when everything was just about porn, games, and eh... making bombs

I remember this kid at school, we used to call him 'rocket man", that has made a rocket out of a plastic bottle, using a chemical process or something, it built up pression in the bottle and then, poof, the bottle launched at least 500 meters in the air.

I think he was still a virgin.
