Would this EP tide you over until the next album?

If anything, he could re-release Chinese Democracy as an extra with the release of a new album. You get to buy the new album and get CD and CD remix for free. That, is more realistic.

Of course, this is all based on the premise that Axl would operate the way he should.

Axl might want to put out an amended booklet for CD, putting out a Deluxe Edition with Remixes-alt versions wouldn't be strange in the industry. So maybe. I feel like re release CD with remix disc and put out CD II. Then have a triple cd package so we can get crazy.

I don't know if the public is ready for that sort of 3way action.

Making the re-release of CD and the CD remix album a priority and the "new release" is what I find pointless. He can always do whatever he wants with CD if a new album is out first. Axl fans are starving for new music, a remix of a 15 year old song won't do it.

A remix album before CD2 is a dreadful idea. It would completely bomb, barely resonate and just give new gnr the excuse they require to continue to do the casinos forever more. I can just see it: ''yes, we are still on the chinese democracy'' in the year 2018!

Maybe I'm missing something.

Who do you consider as Axl's fans?

Those who are discussing the possibility of a re-release of Chinese Democracy plus CD Remix album as an add-on.

Is that YOUR definition for Axl's fans? Really? Oh God .... I totally missed that.

Anyway, I agree with what you said about ChD's re-release ... that should be enough to keep me out of Axl's fanbase

Did I really read "No need to rush things" on a gnr forum? For fucks sake.

Ironically he is a Benard Shakey fan.

I appreciate the diverging methodologies. I think they're equally true to who they are as artists. They're both control freaks in their respective ways.

I feel like CD rerelease deluxe remix bonus would have come earlier to prolong touring as per industry quo.

So I think it is CD II whether that comes with remixes or they are mixed in and release as double cd set like UYI.

I'm more rock so the remix is like NIN I don't really get into them in album format.

Axl should look at Chris Cornell...

Told the world a Soundgarden reunion would never happen.

Meanwhile Kim Thayil is remixing and re-releasing the back catalogue and building back up the old fan base.

Cornell puts out the much hated "Scream" album with much the same kind of talk Axl was on about regarding exploring new sonic territory that the old band couldn't or wouldn't go to.

"Scream" tanks and Cornell quietly drops all references to it and returns to Soundgarden.

Has a hugely successful run with them with new album and tour while keeping a nice solo career running in parallel.

New albums from him and Soundgarden now due.

Everybody is happy.

Axl should work with the old guys to remaster and re-release the back catalogue.

Release raw rock versions of the UYIs along with lusher interpretations as recorded in full back in the day.

Let fans remix old tunes using modern technology.

Then copy everything else Chris Cornell has done.

The end.

I'd take Scream over any of this Soundgarden reunion shit.

I'd rather hear a new studio version of Silkworms than OMG.

But it's ridiculous that we're talking about something to "tide us over" when it's already been seven years since CD came out.

And 16 years since a lot of the vocals for it were recorded.

I'd rather have the new This I Love than that EP.
