Has Axl been spotted publicly since Vegas?

Recommended Posts

What if Axl returns with short hair, partially grey, but in great shape wearing t shirts that fit and jeans, no jewlery no hats and has incredible 2006 or 2010 vocals, announces a new album that he's been working on (chinese material is dead) and tours all of 2016 with a few songs in the playlist, then early 2017 he drops his new album, everyone thinks it's "classic GNR" Axl goes to every award show collecting album and song of the year. He tours a little more and then starts producing and working on others records. He finally finds Dave Ghroul and one punch knocks him out. Tmz gets video and we all realize we hate Dave! Axl gets way cooler lifetime achievement awards from respected agencies and is once again considered an icon in the music industry!

Oh the dream...

What is Dr. Who saying with his post? That's a lot of photos. Hairline different?

The same. I don't see why it is so hard to accept for people that Axl simply lost a little bit of hair between 1993 and 2000, without going bald?

If he got a transplant, why is his hair overall thinner than in 1993? The purpose of a hair transplant is to make the hair appear as if no loss occurred, and it is performed by taking hair from the back of the head and bringing it to the front. If Axl had one, you don't think he could afford one that would give him UYI era volume?

Also, if he were balding, wouldn't his hairline look different in 1996, then it did in 1988?

The rumor that "Axl went bald" started with a pretty unreliable source - Courtney Love began pushing the rumor in 1994 shortly after Kurt's death whenever her "nemesis" Axl Rose was mentioned. Why should we believe her? RS when they met him in November 1999 detailed that his hair was intact, but was shorter than in his heyday.

ahem..pardon me guys, small point....WHO GIVES A FUCK???!??!??

What, if Axl's bald he's not a man anymore? If he has luscious, luxurious locks he's a virile man stallion?

No, no, no.

Axl Rose is not a hair model he is a recording artist. And on that score he has been able to get it up once in 24 years. That's less than often than your grandpa, and he had one of his bollocks shot off in the war.

That's what matters, and thems the facts.

You may now return to your day.

It is clear the obsession with Axl's hair began way back in the day when his luxurious locks were the envy of all. Women wished they had that shiny, perfect hair and men wished their women paid as much attention to them as that hair (and kind of wished their women's hair was half so awesome- not to mention their own hair). When Axl dropped out of sight it wasn't so much Axl that was missed, but his godly flowing locks. Since the hair was out of sight, rumors began that the hair was actually well and truly gone. The stages of grief set in for some, exuberance for others ( jealousy, you know, these people no longer had to compete with perfection). When Axl ventured back into the world, in cornrows no less, it was a shock. To those who wistfully admired the flowing locks were disturbed to see them bound up and tightly controlled. Those who were once jealous were in denial that the hair still existed in some form. This whole thing was such a tramatic event to people that it stuck in their mind and has become an obsession. Is it still real? Is it not? Is it the same? Is it thinner? Critical eyes stare at every image of Axl to try to determine what is going on with the hair. The hair that had once drew all eyes and many sighs. There is a growing number of people who just want Axl to let the hair do what it wants. "Stop hiding it," they say. Time goes by and just because the hair is no longer luscious as it once was does not mean that it should be hidden away. It has things that it can still give to the world. Others just wish they could have snipped a bit of it when it was at it's peak health and so could ignore what it has become.

And it has come to pass that Axl's hair will forever more be a conversation topic.

In the 80s and early 90s his natural hair was completely straight and thin. The thick mane he had at Rio and the New Year's shows was clearly a weave. See: Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Rihanna, GaGa etc etc etc

The braids may or may not have been to disguise the reported botched hair transplant he was rumored to have had until his scalp recovered enough to try again.

The thick wavy hair he's had on top since 2009 looks like a transplant, but not a regular-Joe transplant that we'd have where they take follicles from the back of your head and transplant them to the top: it's more likely he's paid a lot of money to have someone else's follicles transplanted onto his head, hence the natural waves and thickness which he never had in his 20s, nevermind his 50s.

Does it matter? Should anyone care?

I only care that he's physically let himself go since 2011 when previously he was very image conscious. When he came back in 2006 and 2009 he had obviously worked hard to present himself both in terms of appearance and performance as close to his heyday as he could and he was fucking awesome. That he seems to have 'let himself go' since 2011 and can't be arsed anymore is just sad. In 2010 he rocked the bandana and didn't give a fuck when his sweaty strands stuck to his neck. From 2011 he had The Disguise and constantly blow-dried his wispy bits at the back throughout shows to make it appear fuller.

He should put minoxidil 5%.

That actually helps, I was having alot of hair fall, it did stop my hair fall, but again after a year, it started again, but well it wont grow hair again on Axl's bald spot, Axl did take some vitamins and god knows what during the illusions tour or before, but it seems it dint help much.
