What are all the completed unreleased Guns songs?

Recommended Posts

Maybe not the right section of the forum, but hopefully so.

Just wondering if there's a list or something of all the songs Guns N Roses actually recorded but remained unreleased. I've heard stuff like Crash Diet and Ain't Going Down, but not in a long time so during this downtime for a month before the shows I figured instead of playing out the songs I already know this is a good opportunity to start listening to the stuff that never made records but that I know there are recordings of.

So I'm wondering if anyone has a comprehensive list of all these songs? Not necessarily where to find them, but just how many songs, how many versions of each there are (like I know there are several of Ain't Going Down I think), anything out there from the start of this band to currently that remains unreleased. Everything from Shadow Of Your Love to Going Down with Tommy Stinson on vocals. NOT stuff like Checkmate/Jackie Chan that we only have like 30 second snippets of. FULL songs, either original or covers like Heartbreak Hotel and JJF, with maybe a little description of each (Going Down - recorded for Chinese, Tommy on vocals, only one mono version available or whatever the reason is that that one sounds a bit weird).

Was just curious if anyone happens to have that information. If not, no big deal, but I used to think it was only like 10, now I feel like its 20-30 songs but I don't know of anywhere to get the exact number.

Yup, thats the typical video I go to when I think of this stuff but I know its not all of it, like the covers, and Shadow Of Your Love, etc.

And Cornshucker has always been one of my favorites! Exactly the reason I'm looking for a list, cause there might be even more songs I love just like that that I've never heard.

This is what I have so far:

1. Jumpin' Jack Flash
2. Heartbreak Hotel
3. Shadow Of Your Love
4. Just Another Sunday
5. Too Much Too Soon
6. Bring It Back Home
7. Crash Diet
8. Sentimental Movie
9. Too Fast To Live
10. Cornshucker
11. Ain't Goin' Down
12. Going Down

Not sure how many alternate versions of each there are. I think there's an electric and acoustic version of JJF, obviously the live overdub and not live overdub of Shadow, many different versions of Ain't Goin' Down.

Also, check out Gran Torino....

Dust In The Wind......

Lots of cool stuff which 95%+ of the casuals probably haven't ever heard

So I guess there's really nothing other than Going Down thats leaked since the Chinese era?

Right, but Blood In The Water is just a 30 second snippet and the two different versions of Better aren't really things I need more of, but its good to add to the list of things that have come out. What's Better Gone?

Crash Diet, Too Much Too Soon, Bring It Back Home, Just Another Sunday and Sentimental Movie are not GNR songs, it's West Arkeen's band with guest appearances by GNR members.

Is that true? It makes sense, especially stuff like Just Another Sunday. I've just always seen it listed as Guns N Roses.

Blood in the water is out there in full. It leaked around the same time as Going Down.

Better gone is Brain's remix of better.
