Can't wait for the oppurtunity to see them on there American tour at summers end.. Lifetime GNR fan, but it was AC/DC that brought me to the boards. It has truly been special and the first tour I followed completly via the world wide web. Thanks to all who shared that excitement with me,,, AC/DC and GNR fans coming together? Something ive never heard before. just came back from waiting about 2,5hrs in front of the hotel to see axl. Its so cool when youre in düsseldorf and meeting someome youve met in vegas. I saw fellow member @Carburetta there waiting for axl aswell, which was pretty cool. They didnt show unfortunately. They went in from the garage but didnt come out. Apparently axl and the guys were pissed the show wasnt sold out and didnt come out if the hotel because of that. Thats what a security guy told a chick who was waiting there also. But dont know if true..would wuck though. but it was great seeing axl again. i love that guy. And some day i will meet him... He's an artist, artists like to branch off and do different things. No one gets to decide what is right and what is wrong other than Axl and Angus. I mean, it's fairly obvious that Slash wants to continue and SMKC and Duff wants to continue his five hundred side projects even if they're both in GN'R for the long haul, why shouldn't Axl have a side project also? Surely it's better than him receding into hiding for a year while they're off doing their own things, no? Not to mention AC/DC isn't a full time commitment; they tour/record on roughly a five year cycle, and have done so for the past 25 years. It's not like he's gonna be doing 50+ dates with AC/DC every year or anything. Besides that, there is zero evidence that his AC/DC commitments pushed a European tour from this year into next year. On the contrary, it seems more likely that there was nothing planned in the first place. First off, it'll be getting too late in the year for a stadium tour in Europe if they were to head over there after the NA tour. That means if they planned to do Europe this year, it would have been 2-3 dates in every city in arenas, highly unlikely. On top of that, at the very least preliminary negotiations would have been underway when it broke that Brian would have to drop out of the AC/DC tour - we'd have been getting some solid rumors on European dates, but none of that ever came. 14 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
