Hi everyone, I thought this would be the right place to talk about this, even if it's always discussed too much... But looking at all the pictures and videos I couldn't stop thinking that, weight aside which is not even that bad or weird, Axl would look so much better with a short hair cut and a full beard... It's like something so stupid and simple but I was trying to picture it, and I think it would be a new cool look, good for his age right now, am I the only one? I'm not even a guy too obsessed with stuff like this at all, but looking at all the photos and videos I was just thinking too often "Man, it would take so little, and do so much"... I don't know... Just needed to share this while I was looking at some pictures hahahaha

I used to like His beard but now I prefer with no beard. He looks much better without it

I thought his hair at the Troubadour was just about perfect. It was a still long, but the front part was shorter, it really suited him. I don't think a beard would be a good idea, I think now we can finally see his face properly after all this time he doesn't need to be covering it back up with a big ginger beard

NOOO! There's a photoshopped pic of Axl with short hair and it still gives me nightmares . I think longer hair is a way better now as he's losing his weight. The beard looked great in 20 years ago but I prefer his face the way it is now

When I was reading this it reminded me of the videos from Vimeo someone posted here like 3 pages ago, lol, was it you or whom? Those animations where most of them are characterized like that. I can't get off my head Duff being passed out on the floor the whole time.

The animator captured the essence of these guys pretty well. Probably they read that interview and did everything based on it

This is why we need an in-depth book discussion with Slash and Axl in one room, and us of course So they can go through the entire book together and fight about bitch about discuss every single story in there and we get to ask questions about everything we want to know more details about. It's therapeutic for them and entertaining for us. Win win!

And yeah that was me and some other people (but @DuffsPancreas started it I think ) I woudn't be surprised if they based their characterisation on that interview and some other early interviews. They were such hopeless idiots back then

Regarding that part of Slash's book, I agree that there's more to it  than what was described (like most of the things on there tbh). Same. I also always picture Axl reading that book, maybe even taking notes and making annotations for future reference. I'm not even joking, considering that Axl still has journals from the early 80s (and probably even further back) that he can go through and then throw things like "But in 1982 you said..." at people (Izzy lol) while talking to them But yeah, I think it must have been a very weird experience for him to read that book, probably even upsetting at times. I also wonder if he learned something from it and if it opened his eyes a little and helped him understand Slash's and other people's points of views, and where they were coming from. From what I've seen (and according to Izzy), Axl seems to have a bit of trouble with that kind of thing. 

And yeah, that question should definitely be added to the list. But the answer is probably "soon is (not) the word." I'm honestly afraid that book will take him even longer than CD or that we're never gonna get it all But man, that would be so much new material to obsess over again We would need to start a new thread just for discussing that book. "GNR Women's book discussion" thread.

I've never seen it off stage like he described here or what Chris Weber described, but he's practically vibrating with energy in the famous Perfect Crime video from Indiana 1991 for example.

And speaking of Chris Weber and Axl shaking, I really love those old Hollywood Rose clips of Axl. Axl's moves before he found his moves Just shaking his hips from side to side and shaking his head.  I don't know why, but I think he's such a cute little ball of pent up energy there.

Yes, I think a good haircut would make him look great. He needs bangs, something to cover his wide forehead. And about the beard, I'm not sure because the problem now is that all of his facial hair has changed colors. He looks albino now so a full beard would be like this bunch of blond albino hair that'd make him look like either Trump or Hetfield or Santa Claus! So I guess not for now
