It's not an AC/DC show, so I really see no point in rehearsing. There's no one to try extra hard for like boss Angus and I'm not being sarcastic. He will get paid and have fun regardless. He sounds good enough to warm up his voice as the tour progresses.

When he takes a break his vocal chords respond accordingly. It's similar to working out. He doesn't like that which is why he's chubby.  I just don't see Axl singing Guns tunes in his down time. Not that type of a singer. (you can call him lazy)

The motivation is just not there to sing Guns tunes with no crowd like a fuckin' asshole.

I agree that the problem is about the motivation not being there, as I agree with the people saying that he doesn't care anymore. But there's definetly a point in rehearsing for GN'R too - his voice is not the same, and I'm sure nobody is asking 90's Axl -I know I'm not - but as I said he could do much better if he rehearsed, if he learned to sing his own songs in a way his voice can deliver. Again, I don't think he sounds like shit, he sounds ok, but like I said with reahearsals he could be phenomenal - Axl/DC showed us that and as the tour goes and his voice improves it show us that also. And I don't think it's only unfair to the fans who go to the first concerts, it's also for the rest of the band. I bet Slash doesn't like to rehearse SCOM over and over, but he does, he gives the best he can and the rest of the band too, proof is the tempos from yesterday show were so much better. Why? Because they rehearsed. Just think that Axl could at least try to do the same.

(Oh and welcome to Women's Thread ;))

Its unprofessional, is he lazy or unmotivated possibly but it's nothing new and his not going to change so I don't understand why people still get emotional about it.

I don't think it's about getting emotional, it's about him being your favourite singer and you want him to succeed so bad, but all you see it's him wasting something that used to be magical by his own decision/ lack of care. But I'm with you, I don't think he's gonna change :shrugs:

So slash tweets in support of the Women's March and the 24 hours later he's back to tweeting weird pictures of naked women. His not really getting the whole equality concept is he.

I mean... We are talking about a guy that has a naked woman with her legs spread as his amp logo. I don't think women's rights issues or misogyny are ever going to make sense to him.

No, he isn't. But we are talking about the band with songs like "It's so easy" and esp. Slash boasted about groupies and whatnot. Can't say I'm that surprised ;)

If he doesn't understand those issues, then he's just tweeting to go with the flow. Not really showing support.

I just thought it was kind if ironic, have to say I was  more surprised he tweeted in support of the March, than see him quickly revert back to his Cartoon porn all a  bit hypocritical.

Total difference. I think he is reading here and learned something. Gets out and about, wears no hat and is nice to fans. Next he is smiling for real in pictures! :P

Now if we could just have the same when he isn't touring, that would be wonderful. Maybe we can do lunch some day.:rofl-lol:

I wanted to say something similar earlier but was afraid.

Axl has no motivation anymore, especially when he can make a quick buck so easily.

Can he do better? Absolutely. He's a great singer and performer. Does he want to? Not really. IMO.

Right, if he ever needed validation, the 2016 tour showed him that he could do no wrong.

And that's why GN'R shouldn't have involve in politics and all those politically correctness. It just doesn't match what the value of the band is  sounds hypocrite when you try to involve in some women rights but still singing songs about women...in not so good connotative.
