Archtop Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I get the feeling that Izzy not being in the reunion has more to do with the business side of things than anything else, he doesn't have a publicist, no management he deals with releasing music directly and probably wants to avoid going down the whole music business route again. He said in an interview some years ago that to get out on the road with the original band would be kind of fun, but I'm guessing he probably ment a scaled down couple of dates with little fuss, just like the good old days. I have read the money rumours and I agree that it would be asking a lot to get equal payout as Duff, Slash and Axl unless he was prepared to put in the work. I also think if he was only offered the same as on previous appearances it a bit of a piss take given the money being generated by this tour. I hope this has not caused bad blood, I think it's interesting that Duff at least hasn't retweeted Izzys new song or made a reference to it, infact I find the whole silence around former members kinda of shitty. I can see why people are saying Izzy's timing on Twitter and song release is riding the GnR name but I also believe by not clarifying his or Stevens envolement the band are appealing to the re-unionists still holding out hope, it works both ways. However, I agree that I find it odd to follow the relatives and SOs, unless they're in the public eye themselves. Saying Axl has a pet psychic, making fun of his belief in past lifes, some stuff from the groupie boards, calling Del and Dizzy ass kissers, saying Del is not good for much these days, saying it's Fernando's job to clean out the kitty litter, that Beta just packaged the cat shit from the litter box to send it to Buckethead... I'm not sure Axl would really talk like that about his family and friends (or himself. I know he can be self-depreciating, but that stuff about refusing to go on stage, the kitty litter sex story, etc... hard to imagine) And while I could believe the digs at Slash and Sorum maybe, those still seem kinda unrealistic (the stuff about Slash whoring himself out and pissing himself, and Izzy coming on his leg... all stuff commonly talked about and known by fans) In the same vein, so many of the tweets reference some obscure GnR related events that were at least in the news somewhere at the time, or in the past (so anyone could have known about it) and things Axl said during interviews. A lot of tweets go back to shit Axl said in the Trunk interview with Bach for example. Makes it seem more legit, but anyone who listened to the interview could have posted that. Also find it hard to believe that Axl would chat with random twitter fan girls/crazily obsesses people, retweet them, call them sweetie... Also the thought of Axl pretending to be his cats and constantly tagging himself (his official account) and referring to himself as Daddy. So I'm more keen to think they are fake rather than imagine they could be actually Axl, and the fact that it has followed me back makes sense in the context that my account acts pretty much like those cats, I write a lot of sarcastic stuff, make lots of jokes and in general I use it to express political views or comment about current public events. He's following me back Yeah, I think it's definitely someone from the US and someone who lives in L.A. The Spanish retweets made me think it could be Del? He speaks Spanish, he has translated Axl before whenever they played in a Spanish speaking country but well, so many other people could understand it too. Could be bisexual or a lesbian woman! ahahah When playing a character like that, I think a woman could make those kind of jokes if the person behinds the account is some sort of writer or creative person. But I don't think the side effects of it last for too long. Depends on the dose too. But would have to see why that one was prescribed instead of say, clonazepam. It's my understanding that Gabapentin is more "natural" but I've seen it working and I prefer clonazepam all the way. I don't know what are the movements Axl does that you find weird. Can you give me an example? All the contrary, to me he does a lot of things he's always done. Del is fluent in Spanish, is in LA and does have a very dark and unique sense of humor...and whoever it is, it's someone who knows Axl very well and seems to have access to photos of the cats. And the tweets you've mentioned might make more sense if it were a friend who was joking with/about Axl...
